Honestly, all jokes aside NcSoft. I have in the past played on private server which are typically run in the basement of an abandoned house by 1 or MAYBE 2 people. And if they can implement software sophisticated enough to completely nullify botters at the freaking login screen then why cant you (or is the question "why wont you")? I really hope your not worried about "the big donators" being banned and then this game going under...............lol? On those servers that i used to play on people STILL donated (i.e. play your L2 pay-to-win games) and still logged in, everyday.... I mean honestly, once a top player has "BOTTED" his way to the top, you realize hes done spending money right? Hes just simply going to continue botting to sustain his 1 update to his gear you come out with from time to time by botting(which according to FACT, when someone is botting on your server they are actually stealing right out of your own pocket). Where as people who are still using +6 r95 gear at level 100 Diligently spend 20-50$ per week literally sweating trying to upgrade there gear and then spending there 10$ they had for the week just for a final crack at your event for the Slight chance that they "MIGHT" upgrade 1 (ONE) piece of there gear.... And guess what, when the fail to upgrade, they not going to BOT to try again for FREE, they are going to go to sleep at night and wake up at the butt crack of dawn the next morning to go to "WORK" (you know like a real job? like a 7am-6pm job? Not sitting in front of 3 computers running 2 or more parties per computer to STEAL your adena/items that you created here in this game) and go to there job, and do it for 6 days a week and are going to Continue spending that money until 2 things happen: 1) They have had enough of not winning shiit and are going to quit -OR-
2) They will slowly win and keep "PAYING" you for chances to win items. (key word in this sentence is "PAYING", you know with "Real" money. NOT stolen adena from your very own game). nope, top end players get their adena from their bots, they don't spend that much. players aspiring to be top end do, as they have to catch up with gear and levels.
game will not die when 'top end scripters get banned', it will come back to life.
I do enjoy my game, but it's annoying when magical person is doing impossible in oly, can't do many rb's neither, getting auto massacred when having clan wars is nothing nice either, and don't get me started about auto sieges..
only 'fun' part about auto players is when they bug out and try to attack you in town or through wall in the castle or at oly.

3. Farm places like gainak and high Adena dropzones. (a big source of Adena also comes from in-town Shops Buying Low/Sell High)
One of the Ugliest things these "REAR"-End people do (and they are Adults) is look for Naive Children who wanna "fit-in" and try to Mentor them. for a small fee of coarse.

And this guy.... Read what the other guy posted yesterday "The top players bot (steal created L2 items)" and have no reason to spend any money on this game what so ever. Hence - why they bot in the 1st place. So they can get around not having a job, not investing real life money into this game so they bot and buy the items NcSoft created with there own money, lol? And when they shout to buy NCoins? Why are they shouting to buy NCoins if they spend 200$ a day? lol, what are they spending 200$ a day on that they still need to shout to buy More NCoins? Its simple - they are not spending 200$ a day, they are spending No money a day at all, they are stealing it from NcSoft and using it to boost there own characters. People who dont bot but use ranger simply for radar? Ya those are the guys spending hard earned money from working 40-60hrs a week. They use radar to get away from those 20,000$ characters running around as quickly as possible and keep spending 20-50 per week (@said 50$ per week x4 = 200$ a month, which is enough to sustain several accounts for the old 15$ monthly fee) so they can have a slight chance at improving there characters abilities. Fact of the matter is, people are already back to botting, simply as that, im seeing it all over zaken server already also so. Im wondering if NcSoft has a spine or doesnt have a spine.... The real insanity is this game and thinking its owners here in the usa WANT Fair game play. Prove us wrong if you think you can, but i know you wont. 4 weeks into helios if theres not 1 perma ban then ill just find a new game to get addicted to, and with so many promising games now a days, im sure ill find 1 that i like the same as or more then L2.... First of all this is my last post in here. It's summer time and I have real things to do. Anyway when the next manteinance ends try to look at the 4 server stats as it was a joke. 100 connected in the first 5 minutes then the numbers raise to 2k in the first 3 hours. 100 it's just the number of real ppl, and their 2 alts, connected. Who are the other 2k?

Lol I keep telling myself that, but every year I get the itch and find myself back here, despite the botting situation.
This topic started out saying a 3 day ban was not adequate as the banned people are back. It seems fair to have a 3 day bay to basically send the message that NC soft sees you and knows what your are doing. I think most of those people that got a 3 day ban just played on an alt toon and did not feel much pain.
As for subsequent bans, I can see why NC soft would not want to permanently ban toons and reduce possible source of income (I say possible as I am not convinced that many botters buy any NC coin). However, it seems there should be more of a penalty to add some pain and prevention.
For instance, a second ban for PVP scripting could be a 3 day ban and loss of 1 level and all associated skills. This would add a real penalty (and might be good for NC soft as people might buy xp pots to regain there skill level). A more serious penalty could also be loss of their weapon or warehouse inventory.
Toons below 85 found botting could get permeant ban 1st time. If they can track where the money bots collected it should be confiscated with additional penalty.
Anyway, I applaud NC Soft for the recent actions to fight the scripters and bots. I will admit I have seen similar actions related to major updates in the past. I only hope that they will continue with the effort to eliminate cheaters after Hellios has been in place for a while.
