My account was banned last Friday. This must be a false positive ban because I have not used any third party software in the past. The only potential reason is this: I used my razer mouse macro to spam left click for fortune pockets.
Isn't this allowed? Honestly no one want to right click 200 fortune pockets. So, this should be allowed.
If this is not allowed, YOU NCSOFT should make your game more humanly playable before banning people. Add a "use all fortune pockets" button.
I came back playing l2 a month ago just for nostalgic sake, but I ended but getting a false positive ban. This doesn't feel good.
I think so this post summarize the best whats wrong and why the people automate the game play. How they will level their character when they can`t even click to open an item. Definitely playing the wrong game - people spent 1 year to gain 1 level in the past and you can`t open 200 items by hand?
P.S if you would used keyboard and placed in action bar the fortune pocket maybe it would be easier to spam it - or you need scripts to do it for you?:confused:

Do you prefer to have a "stand and spam skills" raid or a more dynamic one?
Do you like doing the same k95 quest everyday with a long series of quest log you have to click through?
Do you like doing baylor everyday with a 1 min long cut scene?

As a returning player to l2, I find my experience in l2 horrible after 2 years. people are still botting, game is not fun to play, players in game talk unfriendly, real money players are mentally unstable, people on forum are unreasonable.
Well, I guess its time for me to quit again. I don't even care if I get my account back or not.

For 10 years, bot problem hasn't been solved. Why? Not because you don't ban people. The problem is the game itself.
In other good games, banning bots will make people come back and play. In l2 no one will come back just because they see bots get banned. The problem is the game itself.

Mouse and Keyboard games is also prohibited because using software that automate at stake

You think about the context before you copy and past stuff. Right, no one forces me to play the game, I play l2 voluntarily. I came back with the hope that this game could get better, but I was wrong, I lost hope in this game, so I choose to quit again and never come back again.
Keyboard macros are allowed in most games I played, including gw2 dota2 diablo3, heroes of the storm. These games are more competitive than l2. If keyboard macros are not allowed in l2 and the game doesn't have functions to facilitate my gameplay, I simply quit. Why would I bother playing l2 while I have other more enjoyable games to play? So I quit and say GL! BYE! to you l2 players.

No players were actioned for using a Razer mouse macro. It was for an illegal third party program that specifically automates gameplay for PvE/PvP.
Regarding the issue with opening 200 Fortune Pockets, the next update will add a new function to macros that allows you to repeat them

Finally an official response that leads this conversation to the right direction. It's great to see this quality of life improvement coming to this game, and I hope to see more of them in the future.

Then I can't think of any reason for me receiving the suspension. Your statement of ZERO false positive ban might be too strong.
Not to act or sound as a smartarse, but wouldn't such a macro bind be considered as automatic gameplay? I did check several posts before, just to be sure, having keyboard macro binds, isn't a problem at all as long as they don't automate the character actions right?
So in OP's scenario, if you make a macro bind like that, to open pockets, you leave the character alone, while running the macro, resulting in automated opening of fortune pockets.
I do believe that getting banned for this is abit don't know, far fetched, but well, next time I guess it'd be better to just, as they said, put it on the F1 key and just hold it down or stick a piece of paper into it, to avoid unnecessary situations.

No, seriously, you don't get banned for opening pockets. You can get kicked out of server if your latency is low and you open them too quickly, but that won't get you banned. At least that's what happened to me some time ago. I placed the pockets on the skill bar and held the appropriate F button to open them. I learned to make a short break here and there to not get kicked out of the server.
I use mouse macros a lot (razer), but without any sort of targeting, just plain button smashing (basically faceroll :D) done in software. Feoh OP :D
