I had the time of my life in Olympiad this weekend beating the snot out of handless people that normally I wouldn't stand a chance against. When people who haven't played their toon in 5+ years attempt to pvp its actually humorous at how much of a waste their 150B adena in gear is.
But I do agree with you that certain people need to stop being so self righteous, but then again, others need to stop acting so innocent.

Personally, I haven't thought pvp was any fun since back when A grade was the top grade in game. It was such even ground. And gear dropped on death!Even back then bots, radar, scripted assist programs and such ruined pvp. People would talk crap then go bot their levels back in some back alley field while claiming pro-legit 4 lyfe dawg...

They'd bot up somewhere, then go to where the mobs were dark blue and grief people and say "pvp me bro, u scared" when they were ten levels higher and obviously scared to pvp anyone their own level!
Tho I must say doing 2v7 with 2 lv 75's and 7 58-64's is good times even though the outcome is already decided.

Oh then there were the people who would put on D grade gear and go try to pick fights in ruins of despair. Because killing a newbie as a level 70 was pro pvp... Gotta love the stat padding..

Lineage2 is not e pvp game and never was.
What do you get from PvE?
1.) Experience points (levels)
2.) SP for skills and abillity points.
3.) Quests like Noble and Exalted.
4.) Raids and drops
5.) Dragons and gear
6.) Members who understand PvP is broken
7.) Common quests to progress.
What do you get from open world PvP?
1.) No experience points
2.) No skill points
3.) Emo world chat and butt hurted people.

Just face it, No PvE no game. Open PvP is broken with to many built in penalties and no rewards.
Everytime a clan declare war to our clan, Im like... what? why? omg? really? wtf? lol? The same reactions in clan chat... just alot of "lols" and sometimes, no reaction at all.
I can picture myself someone really but hurted clicking the declare button in frustration because what ever reason you declare war?

To each his own, I go out to xp in hopes war tags come looking or are heading out to do the same thing. PVE is boring as all hell, it's to improve your char to pvp, again, imo.

I agree that PvP was exiting and fun back in the days. Heart rate went up when a war tag showed up and there was a good even fight.
Now PvP is, as I said before, broken... Give me one good-enough reason why I would want to PvP against scripted players with PtW gear when I get nothing in reward? PvP segment dont give me any emotions nowadays. Blessed Rez or healer rez 100% OMG! How much FUN! ... not.
Yes Im in Sunshine, and Im proud to be in Sunshine. You can see it in my sig unlike most of the anonymous cry babys in this forum.
Sunshine is a great clan in a great ally with lots of action and loads of great people from around the world. Thats why I play this game... PvP clans is just a pink noise to me... a non factor... Something that is there in the background... somewhere.

I remember playing my PW back in C3, some of the most fun times playing an outclassed dagger and wrecking people anyway. Literally a thousand people at sieges. Game firsts, like the first wild hog cannon used on our server and everyone's reactions to it, first time raiding Antharas. Stuff like that.
Now it's all about logging in to do your daily instance and that's about it. Looking at the top players and realizing I don't have the time or money to dedicate to this game to compete with them. Makes me almost want to find a good c3-c5 private server that's not adjusted to much and play there.

Ive been playing for 12 years and all I ever thought was get ur next level, then the next then the next, that's what I need to do to be able to compete in end game PVP. I have learned that's not the case. I would love to come out and pvp with you "PVP Clans" but im just tired of getting one shot at lvl 101, And yes ill admit it, 1 shot. I feel like im a pretty good player and understand the game very well, I have more then decent gear, but I cant do PVP when I get target and boom one shot because of the class I play.
SOOOOOO... if u wonder why no one comes and PVP's anymore its cause not everyone has gear for 150+ bill, and all u "PRO PVPers" roll archer or some other OP class then laugh and world shout how noob there opponent is when they one shot them. For once open your mind and look at it from, lets say a "none pro" players view.
I find it hard to believe its a PVP game when ive been playing 12 years as PVE with some PVP back in C2-C4. Obviously ive had a great time playing without PVP.
