nobody from dragonhunters got permanent ban (actually nobody got permanent ban - see message above), if you cheat 4 years then you get 5+3 day bans.
so also message to other cheaters - if you cheat you can cheat 4 years and if you get permanently banned, link to all (1st wave (http://boards.lineage2.com/showpost.php?p=3530678&postcount=7)) and all (2nd wave (http://boards.lineage2.com/showpost.php?p=3531985)) heroes who got banned only for few days. you will be unbanned because they got unbanned. or there is some close connection between something? :rolleyes:
On chronos i was personaly reporting 1 bot train (just adena farm bot train) for 3 month. Support said me investigating, investigating, investigating... After 10th report alive gm was answering that name1, name2, ... already receive many reports and they very carefully watching on them. Few month there was still nothing.
This bot train I assume was useing prestige packs and drop runes from l2store. I dont think juji related to that. Its was politic for whole NCsoft company, they have 1 support center for all their games.
You blame juji after he start ban bots, thats not right, none from active players got permanent ban, not only DH.
Its capitalism, criminals spending money that they steal from people, and they are welcome to VIP club.
About permabans all clear, they simple didnt happen yet.
More interesting questions, how poyebunny, skippy, flashed were unbanned after their permaban.

Why ban cheaters when they spend thousands of money ? Imagine how much they put in their pockets and what players get back ? Nothing.

Excuse me! what, the Number 1 in the world? what world? go outside and ask 1000 ppl what is lineage II to see how many of them will answer you. then ask what is World of Warcraft just to tell you 1 game . Go to twitch.tv and look for Lineage II and see how many ppl are watching or playing it.

Thanks for the laugh, I needed it but for your information there have always been bots and cheaters in this game since almost the beginning.
The only thing this company is the #1 at is poor customer relations and game management.
As Jorge said ask anybody what Lineeage 2 is and I doubt anybody would know. I did this myself as a few game conventions and nobody I asked ever heard of it. But when I asked what WoW, GW2 and Everquest were they knew right away.

Only place Lineage II broke a million players was in Korea itself. Even then it never broke 2 million combined worldwide. Lineage II was #1 only briefly before the launch of WoW in Nov 2004. Basically during prelude. Lineage II hasn't been even top 5 since 2006. Even then, you can't trust what numbers NC Soft does give, since they pad with the bot and RMT accounts too, not bothering to separate out real player accounts from those being run by 3rd party service providers. That last part is true for ALL of the MMOs they publish.

"Real" people? Please, delude yourself somewhere else. If there was a private server that was really more popular than NC servers, it would simply be flooded with 10x the adena seller advertising bots we have here. Because adena RWT is the thing that cares most about real people count.

Actual content (i.e lv. 85 being max level) which requires alot of grind & time to gear up etc;
And an owner which does it out of joy (and not profit)...
People are:
1. Not going to be able to bot.
2. Alot of people grinding, thus making the server very active.
So no, "RMT Adena bots" wouldnt really make it there, as they cant bot very well.
(Take a look at "blackmarket sites" - ton of private server adena/characters being sold)

Yeah, except that logic doesn't work in p servers business. Grind = bots = sooner or later RWT; if the grindy server has high online count outside towns, it will be targeted by RWT since that's their job. They earn money that way, so they can easily circumvent any systems that would be designed to prevent botting.
Back in 1999-2000, when RuneScape had a fatigue system that prevented XP gain until you entered a captcha. Botters simply designed a "you enter captcha correctly for someone, someone will enter a captcha for you" system and everyone could bot freely.
More than 10 years have passed now, and even the neural-network based "self-similarity" approach has been defeated by implementing human-like behavior and input generation (I doubt it has reached L2, which was usually about protecting the executable itself, and if that is circumvented, free botting 24/7).
