Spam Bots-Blocking Em Not Possible

Heya Juji, seems like spam bots for adena bypass /block, some ppl still receiving spam mails/private msgs from toons that already been blocked.
Please try to do something about this cos this game chat has turned to a spam festival.

Everyday i need to block 15/20 spamers that mean they ban those spamers but its useless cause account is free to create ...

Why is it that as soon as I logg into the game I get an adena spam pm? We all get it as soon as we port to towns coming out of the GK's. I hope the Dev's can look into that exploit the spammer's are using and stop that. They shouldn't be able to PM like they do or game mail like they do.

How do they know the name's of our toons, when we don't interact with them? Seems like NCSOFT should look into what 3rd party program is being used for this and develop a patch to game guard that won't allow it to run.

They banned them for 3 days, it didn't work, then NC tried with 5 days, didn't work either.NC gave up now xD

I told em how to, not stop em entirely, but a way to slow them down definitely. It is actually a very simple method too.

There is already a chat filter in place blocking things like:
curse words
racial slurs
www
.com
anything else NC Soft disapproves of

So we add to the list.

"GO HERE AND BUY OUR ADENA SUPER CHEAP" <----------(Example add with no actual advertising provided)

So a GM logs into each server and checks the spam being spouted. I know for a FACT that Juji has been on some of the servers in game of late from screenshots posted in another thread.

They record the advertisement "GO HERE AND BUY OUR ADENA SUPER CHEAP". This is a VERY specific phrase, one that legit (and non-legit, non-adena selling) players would never use. Add this whole phrase to the chat filter.

Now, to assist with the removal of these spam bots. Flag this phrase so when it is caught by the chat filter it auto bans the account. The RMT sites won't know the source of the ban right away. So they make new accounts to spam the same message as before. Now, their message gets blocked immediately and they get banned again. All automated this time until they create a new message.

For NC Soft, all they have to do is from then on, periodically update the chat filter. One person could easily do this in just 2-3 hours on all servers and be done. This would clean up chat in the town a great deal and reduce this minor thorn from the sides of the player base.

Or what if seek the domain owner of adenasometing.com and make it close and ban is ip?. They would get something like this (using Lineage2.com):

Just stop, you obviously dont know enough about this subject to be giving criticism.
Just FYI, you are able to register domains using fake name, virtual creditcards & worst case use a "post box" as address.

I did not know you had abilities to read minds. Although they are very bad, I went to university and studied web, I had a hosting and created web pages. In web there is something called juridical person who is "the face".

But okay bot lawyer, I stop, so you follow in a game full of bots with your beautiful programs and maimed people. Talking to you is like talking to a wall, but the wall listen.

And yes, you can register with false data but it is still illegal.

Getting one corporation to release confidential client data to another corporation requires money, if the registrar company agrees to do it at all. Then you also have the fact that simply because something is illegal doesn't mean people won't do it. After all botting is against the EULA/TOS and yet many still do it. Then there is the fact that the actual owner can use cut outs, middlemen, to do the actual registration of their 3rd party services website. Typically these people will be legally trained in some manor and getting them to disclose who their client is either, won't be possible due to strong belief in client confidentiality, or will cost a lot of money.

In either case, NC Soft won't waste their time and money pursuing your approach.
