An Idea for NC Soft to Ignore

So I was running laps around Aden, as I am prone to do when bored while waiting for a group to fill, and an idea occurred to me. It started with the observation that Lineage II is a multiplayer game that is supposed to played as a social experience. Leveling in a group, raiding in a group, pvping in a group, join a clan, join a party, join a raid and so on.

Now, in pvp it is always good to have a full group, the more the merrier also the less chance of getting rolled. In pve not always the case. The mob in question gives (base xp + (base xp * party_size_multiplier) and then divides that by total number of people in the party. This results in that the best xp is always obtained solo.

Now the long time school of thought is, the ability to kill faster off sets the loss in xp. This might have been true once upon a time, however in the current state of the game with so much xp tied up in daily instances, this really isn't true anymore. Certain classes *cough eviscerators cough* can do kill things extremely fast compared to just about any other class. This means that it is to their best interest to solo or duo box as much as possible. Also people who engage in pay to win in order to get pimped out ultra fast also enjoy a significant advantage in what they can kill on their own.

Everyone else also want to get as much xp as they can from these daily dungeons so they deliberately keep groups small. This means people are encouraged to not help out others, be they friends, clan mates, or other members of the Lineage II community.

I would propose the following changes to group xp to encourage the creation of max size parties wherever possible and this the encourage the building and growth of what community is left. Change it so that the xp per mob/boss is no longer divided. Everyone gets full portion of the xp provided when the mob dies. Use regular modifiers between 1-4 people. Double the xp at a party of 5, 2.5x the xp at 6 party members, and triple the xp with a fully party of 7.

Of course, I know posting this is pointless since NC Soft ignores the community and has done so for over a decade. #jadedatlostpotential
