Another one of those denial things from Juji always saying it was up on Freya even when their staff replied to us saying they knew the issue and they were working on a fix. (that never was applied)

I hope it will be a good event, but do something about the lag that is happening now. Sometimes I have between 5 and 30 seconds delay or getting d/c... I live in Europe.

Don't worry we will "play" the event and will give THEM (NCSoft) tips what to write!
I mean, a full 99+ party can't kill a lv 93/94 RB without most of them dieing several times. Don't even get me started on 97+ raids.
It's just ridiculous. Nobody touches Gludio, Orc Barracks, Elven and Fairy RBs anymore. Only once in a while a single 100+ full geared dude with a boxed Iss uses raids as regular mobs to gain a little more xp, that's it.

Juji this problem we had it last week. should we be worried for something.
This problem happened a lot of times in the last 3 years that i follow everything on forum. So there is nothing to worry about and such delay is something normal here. The game is just very old, it's like old Car which needs fix from time to time after you try to start it. :D

Probably same rate as the reddish box, got 2x now in ~1h with 2 chars fishing.
Just gonna box 6 chars and leave them fishing, following the same rate of reddish box (5-6x per 12h?), I should get 30 of the event boxes a day.
Lv. 85 chars receive powerful fish aswell now with these baits, so the usual ~20m profit/day will pay for the material cost for the belt.
All in all, not bad, but indeed alot of work for this belt. :)

Item include: Talisman abudance lvl1; Red libra talisman; istina shirts; Hair acc Dex + Patk. When i loged out i dont recieve item on mail. Then after maintain i didnt see anymaill and my item. Plz check it for me.

If they are deleted "with all other event functions" at 8/10, leaving the Chef Monkey NPC with no option to purchase more baits is meaningless, as we need the special baits to catch the treasure chest.

check todays maint notes as Red Libra tali was going to be deleted and the actual Talisman said it was a temp item to begin with so lol..

My friend catch 2 chest for 1 hour and i got only 1 for the same time. So it's around 50 bait for 1 chest, because my chest was catched with 40 baits and other clan mate got 2 with 100 baits, but if you didn't get any for 250 bait then it bad luck. Maybe with 4000 bait should be 100 chest +- if you are lucky :D, so maybe 8000 bait for 200 chests

This event if you dont have the adena for make belt su/cks a lot, just good if u want some xp with char 85-98 lv because u can get powerful fish, a bit adena + xp, but to +99 level is really waste of time, 20 chest and nothing good, even normal bait99 give more chace to get maphr luck potion and make more adenas.
I want see chance for every drop from this chest... maphr potion 1%? bloody armor stone 0'001% chance?

If average of catching one chest is 50 baits, you'll need around approx. 11.000 baits = 250 to 300KK adena for those 226 chests, but you can take the normal fishing quest and you'll also catch Ugly/Nimble/Powerful Fishes along with it.
If average to catch 1 chest is 100 baits, you'll need to spend 500 - 600mil at Chef Monkey.
10-days quest: Visit Tulesir in Aden, close to GK.

with 566 bait i got 8 Chest, average goes 69 bait on 1 chest. With 100kk i got 4166 Monkey Bait and so it should give me about 60 monkey chest. I think it's very good, only 1 bloody stone is enough to make me happy after that :D
But it's so random that you can waste 400 bait and get 0 chest and after this waste 100 bait and get 5 chest for example.

We, your player base have noticed with this new event, even fishing 24/7 for the duration of the event, a person would be lucky to make enough Monkey Chests to purchase the belt.

I don't see this happening.
I came back to the game after 7 months of inactivity. This event requires too much time and its not Winter as it was when they intoduced in Korea. Its Summer and people go on vacations. To keep your playerbase you have to consider things like that. You have to adjust drop rates.
Funny thing with this "afk event". I am playing again Leuge of Legends, Herthstone, OverWatch, Diablo.
It just pushes me to play other games while trying to figure out if there is a chance to get the event belt because ofcourse I will go on vacations.
I hope NC West devs will realize that this event will eventully have negative effect on the playerbase if they don't take matters into their own hands.

It's about the "inhuman" conditions that you have to meet in order to obtain the event item. Fishing 24/7. It's ridiculous. Simply inhuman.

Red Libra Quests 1-5 are on the Main Quest List, and all the NEW Adventure Guildsman NPCs have Scroll over their heads, while they don't have a Quest Link... just Quest Info Link which brings up the Quest list(minimap tooltip shows the scroll is Red Libra Quest for your level)

ok so i did made Faction fishing lvl 2 and got Master rod lvl1 so now Fishing time is reduce with 10 seconds,why the hell when i put Monkey Bait fishing time increase to 105 second but with normal rod fishing time is 75 seconds....:mad::mad::mad:

Grinding xp with monkey herb???? Stop using weed plz, If NcFailed increase the xp rate + drop rate i mean by 50 or 100 % maybe i'd go back xp or whatever. I didn t support pvp scripter ever, but since they are gone, this game is totally dead agree or no it 's a fact. So now, if we all of us have to play fair, maybe they have to make something in the game to make it more attractive. Why on private server they organise things that we never saw on official..... Whatever you can think, the problem wasn t the pvp scripters, but really the GM team : no imagination, making stupid korean event : hiting mobs 10h a day to get a drop (in full party of course) and spend NcCoins event..... Stinky event.... it's time to look for another game ?
Grinding xp with monkey herb???? Stop using weed plz, If NcFailed increase the xp rate + drop rate i mean by 50 or 100 % maybe i'd go back xp or whatever. Atm better to eat chips while i m reading this forum. (more activity here than in game, maybe a day we will get xp from posting??? i know some of you here will be level 110 in a second....)
And the chat restriction works so perfectly. The question i ve is : If Nc know u use a third party program and If they improve bot detection, why they have to make a chat restriction?:D And it s again a failed, i m loggin and what i saw when i reach aden in whisper :" xjjfefsdfs : Buy some adena cheap " ... great job !!! and when u go on rune , giran, heine, everywhere's the same.
If they can detect, why they don't ban immediatly? Bot are still there, and the only activity is : Kamaloka 2x with cake, AF Instance 2x with cake ... omg what a super activity .... oh i forgot : Fishing !!!!! so just say : botfish, but it s legal .... :)
I didn t support pvp scripter ever, but since they are gone, this game is totally dead agree or no it 's a fact. So now, if we all of us have to play fair, maybe they have to make something in the game to make it more attractive. Why on private server they organise things that we never saw on official..... Whatever you can think, the problem wasn t the pvp scripters, but really the GM team : no imagination, making stupid korean event : hiting mobs 10h a day to get a drop (in full party of course) and spend NcCoins event..... Sorry to incriminate you guys, probably u wish to make things good but you can't by the korean team (probably true). I don't blame you, after 12 years you make a reaction about pvp scripters due to the harassment of some people here... Trollfish loadind...

Meanwhile my dedicated for fishing character after 25 hours (24 hours fishing) and 950 event baits.
-Got 1 chest with expiratory rod the first 12 hours
-Got 3 more chest the next 12 hours with sturdy rod
So 4 chests per day. If I stock baits so I can fish till 14 September and keep fishing 24/7 I will get 212 chests plus 4 I have total 216.
Still not enough for the belt! Which means it's techincally impossible to get the belt with this drop rate and non tradeable chests.
Just in case the devs are seeing what we write.
In order to make a game successful players must be happy, not addicted. An addicted player will never suggest the game to a friend. None wants to harm his friends. This event is for addicted players only. If you don't do something (not just for this event but generally) to make your playerbase feel happy game will never be successful.

This are just your odds... I got 19 chests in one day using R85 baits using a box. You are just an unlucky guy when it comes to fishing. I assure you that there will be a moment that you will get some chests in a row. However, I totally agree with you, the drop chances are really low and making the boxes non tradable is bad. Everyone that whishes to have the belt do it with a box, because no one would lose their main character time afk fishing (except when you are sleeping and leaving your pc on).
This is pretty much an event for our boxes stay afk fishing while our main characters will not participate in this event.
I have 3 toons fishing. 2 lowbie toon, they get pretty **** nice exp and fishing also with my main after dailies done. Huge adena sink yes, but I am so lazy to lvl lowbies, except duo/trio kartias, so I love this event ^^
So far one lvl 93 have got 26 boxes with normal fishing rod, main lvl 99 with sturdy rod, same 26 boxes, fishing time is about same. No idea how many baits used. (I don't want to know how much adena spent :D ) One toon 20+ boxes, opened those and maybe one marph pot and rest 50 fishing shots.
Overall, for lazy ppl like me nice event to exp and gives belt or 2. ^^
this event is for people who like to fish which gets a decent small boost and for those that like to XP at open field areas as the banana herb helps speeding that up with even a lil XP boost on top :)
so really it's a simple, not game breaking, free as in no coins needed server wide event which only increase the fun for those doing what they've always have been doing.

I've just realized that this is in a sense everything the community has been asking for in an event
1. Hey, stop making L2Store events, this is P2W!
- No item in L2Store involved
2. Hey, stop introducing game breaking items to the game I'm forced to buy to catch up!
- Top price is no better that existing CoC Belt, but now is the 2nd best belt so an improvement for all the rest
3. You make events only for 99+, we lowies want an event too!
- Baits go from 85 and have no disadvantage against top ones. Indeed lowies lvl more in the process than 99s do
So that's how we got the bananas, others got the island and some others still manage to QQ about everything :D
So getting the Chef Monkey's Belt for 226 Chef Monkey Treasure Chest is near to impossible to get if you don't let your toon fish for 24/7 for the whole duration of the event? I tried to put my 3 toons on fishing for 12-16hrs a day right after the patch was implemented and only get 24, 35, 25 (nearly 4 days) not even constant rate but same fishing hours..
NCSoft pushing players to leave their PC on to waste electricity and promote global warming I guess? hahaha..I hope they try to adjust the required Event items to exchange for the main reward..Not saying for unaware people who havent started fishing from the start and most opened their treasure chests..
I guess 24 days of the event just not enough for this..atleast consider the possible down time of players..talking about reality here..

It's an event herb that drops and will end on 8/10. We know it will take time to get the necessary amount of chests for the belt, so will be leaving the Chef Monkey NPC up after the event is over. Only the Monkey Belt Exchange link for the Treasure Chests will be available until 9/14. All other event functions turn off on 8/10.
The Monkey Bait will be deleted on 9/14, but you won't be able to purchase it anymore after 8/10.

I might be wrong but from 48 hours of "test fishing" it seems that when using sturdy rod you have way more chances to get treasure chest compared to when using the expiratory ones.

Fishing since event started here, expiratory got 2nd most, then sturdy got most (and the least).
Should be random :D
with 566 bait i got 8 Chest, average goes 69 bait on 1 chest. With 100kk i got 4166 Monkey Bait and so it should give me about 60 monkey chest. I think it's very good, only 1 bloody stone is enough to make me happy after that :D
But it's so random that you can waste 400 bait and get 0 chest and after this waste 100 bait and get 5 chest for example.

Stupid question, yet you may never know with certain people, are you using the R99 Monkey Bait? That one gives that kind of EXP, without any need of donations lol
btw I've seen today already the first Monkey belt linked in ally chat so it's defi doable to get 1 ;)
