i have played a nuker for 12 years now and just recently came back to game (3 months ago) why is it that nukers are so gimped when it comes to solo pve. To me this doesn't make any sense what so ever. Noone in game that have talked to that used to be a nuker likes to play their class anymore because of what happened to them beeing so gimped. i have a full bloody set boss jewels and a good weapon and i cant do anything in pve noone wants a nuker in grp with them. Nor can i go out on my own and lvl anywhere efficiently. This issue needs to be addressed honestly i have so much time and money invested into this toon. That even though its stupid easy to just reroll to another toon i dont want to. Can i get a gm to answer this for me plz
if enough ppl complained about it why havent the gms done anything about it cuz i love my nuker and dont wanna give it up. cuz my dps is **** in single target which doesnt make any dam sense
the only ncwest can do is nerf more and more mages.. as we saw they implement the "ninja patchs" to reduce magic critical rate cap (20% instead 50% like korea or EU) .. implement topaz what made useless mage in olys (30 sec reuse) and now any1 can hit 3-4 for times with topaz and win .. so yeah the can do "things" but always to nerf more mages :D
ofc theres some class of mages like necros or top gear mages who dont see what dmg they did to the class with topaz,dmg reduction and magic critical rate cap excessive low ..
well, based on my experience...for feoh its not a matter of damage value/hit becouse comparing only this the damage for crits are in same range of value...(feoh 97 crit on kalos 16-18 000; evi 100 crit on kalos 20-25 000).The problem is that Evi hits 4 times the boss while feoh give only 1 hit.
Making the same comparation between Titan and Evi(regular titan :D ) in k 99 titan hit with 25-30 000 while evi hit with 4-6 000.
so, yeah...single target sux for feoh.
But, while Evi strugle to Aoe 1 by 1 mobs :D...feoh kill atleast 4 times faster grups of mobs.
Lets be honest...feohs are made for AOE since GOD or atleast last 3 chronics.
My problem is ...I feel like no matter how high m atack(over 200 000) i have.... i hit mobs almoust the same.
I wonder if its a ninja reduction or smthing.

Pleistoros is right. Feoh is great at AOE. Single target damage is poor. Maybe this is the official design of Feoh. It should read on the official website: Feoh, excellent AOE damage, eat popcorn and watch from the sideline if you plan on doing any single target damage. (Caramel popcorn is delicious)
On a side note, Spiritshot cost way too much. 4X more than Soulshot? Magic is overpriced!
Feoh was never a rb killer or single mob killer ... there are and were classes wich do it faster and better ... feoh died when ncsoft started addin 1 million hp mobs ....that class was ment for one shot mobs in forsaken valley or vos

I've had mage as dual (was necro), but I've changed it due to other reasons rather than low dmg. Actually as someone already said, Feoh is not about fast single target kill, it was pre GoD, but since the mobs got 500k+ hp it's not the case.
Now if Feoh is stacked properly, it's still a great DD, it's still one of those classes that crits often with skills. And as it was said already countless times, your meant to AoE, hell there is no better class to farm Atelia.Also EV mobs die very easy on both single hits or AoE.
You are seeing it from your perspective, but if they charge it as you want, it will probably be yet another broken class like archers. Let alone that they need somehow to "fix" the mobs and then the other classes will kill them even faster than you...
This needs general game rework, since I think nothing actually changed in the dmg calculation since ages. This ofc won't happen due to the games' age.
If you're not getting groups, maybe try a new clan, I love having a feoh in my parties, not enough people play them. Every class has it's strong point. If your on chronos, I know ICA is always lokin for mages. GL

I just came back to game, main is currently a 100 Feoh Archmage (99 iss dual), +8 set, +7 blessed buster and 3 pieces bloody. I got kicked from so many groups trying to do the daily xp quests on Freya the other day before I finally got a Kama...
It kinda sucks because rerolling now would suck, partially cause of level and partially because trying to sell / get new gear for a different toon would be rough...

Feohs were not made for single target bosses. One of the fewer classes who could go beyond 104 lv thanks to AF field and instance but of course you want all :)

Lol I actually would consider it. I haven't looked into what the server transfer costs are though, and I have an Evisc / Maestro / ISS Id need to bring with me. The rest of my toons are pretty much just.... meh
When I started up again I had lost all my old accounts because I had never merged them over, so TZ wise I started up on Bartz, but I was originally Hindemith which ended up being Chronos several years later...

when you coming to any new party on Bugatti with good suite/guards/model wife/jewels ppl make 1st opinion based on that, after they will know who are you they can take you in any condition, crazy, in love, looks like gypsy, drunk, etc, because you show them who are you
and if in game 99% mages know nothing/invest nothing (time/adena/nccoins) why ppl must trust you and take to party ?
if you want to avoid that situation with kick, just start your party, simple and no any problems for you, you can go even in best your 30days immortal gear..
and idk why i tell you but maybe you need more friends to play with.. regardless lvl/gear/etc ?

I dont think that Feohs are that weak in pve as you call them...
In my opinion Tyrr Maestro/dread/duelist/doombringer with their related weapons and othell fortune seeker are way worse than feoh at any same gear... The only way to make those tyrrs dps is dual blunt + sos... Its mean that you need sos box same lvl and good dual blunt... (Hard + sos taking 1 slot in pt)
And also one Feoh in my opinion is same usefull in full pt like othell/sayha/yul
Feoh = magical aoe/single dps, long range attacks, his own debaffs, solidarity, good skills to protect himself...
Well personally i NEVER had problem to invite 1 feoh/sayha to any my full pt for all instances i do (cc/baylor/k95/k99/balok/istina/octavis/mystic taverns)
During cc/baylor/k95 full pt even 2-3 feoh/sayha...
Actually i even prefer 1 feoh +1 yul rather than 2 yul in most situations...
But rest only one Feoh/Sayha...

Othell/sigel/iss/heal/and sometimes tyrr have same problem only one of them need in pt... 1 pt = 1 sigel/1 feoh/1 othell/1 iss /1 heal

And about limitted k99/k95 i mean duo/trio/quad Hmm if its k95 and you lvl 100 feoh you can even solo... If its k99 you cant...

I think not... But if you want +100-200% dps you are not right at all...
Eviscerators/tyrr who dps much are not that easy... and have biggest problems related to their classes...
For tyrr its sos tank and dual blunt, its not only mean that you need lvl 100 sos tank... you must also invite it in pt... 2x slot in pt to make your dps +250% ... And dont think that its easy to make tyrr dps much lol... You need hardest work for it. Actually not that perfect as you can imagine...
About Eviscerators ,,, well they PAY much for more dps they do... Too much!
Poor cat girl who fall on the ground 2/3 times easier than for example othell with same gear and unlike feoh/yul she is always near boss lol and suffer much pain... P.S unlike you evis for example also terror iss for wiz/war...

the problem here is ncwest, when they made "the instance mode to lvl".. they boost expe on almost all instances where mage suck, and they nerf open field xp where mage is good.. and dont come here saying "mage can solo farm AF" thats only for end game toon with all the gear posible, normal mages cant..

I put ht is here because, I want you to see what I am working with. Am I the best geared Feoh ever, god no. L2 is not a game that lets you gear out perfectly immediately.... without certain..... assistance. I dont give a flying rap to hear how you got lucky in some event and won the best item ever and are super rich because your AVERAGE player isnt even as geared as I am. That gear (which I literally made entirely myself) is still barely on par with what it needs to be to be a contender in a real group, and I still get kicked out of alot of parties because I am a Feoh.
The whole, get good, get better gear and stuff, L2 has become a game where i's expected that you should be epic geared upon hitting a new class, but the original incarnation of the game wasnt like that. If you play the game legit, and by that I mean no NCStore, no acquiring adena, or the like from a level 1 to 100... you dont have enough adena for anywhere near the gear I have.
A Feoh is still considered a "terrible" damage dealer "elite" Kama groups, K95 / CC/Baylor groups. Considering the way you level now, and even open field like EV and the like summoners obliterate several mobs before I can nuke one down.... there is indeed an issue.
Yes, I have been around since Prelude, I remember a Storm Howler 2 shotting tanks, ad I don't want to return to that. However, since the game has pretty much forced you into leveling in a specific way, finding friends whoa re willing to take you in a group to level you, or having a god Geared mage to even be considered... is wrong.
Honestly, it's annoying to hear people say, just gear your toon and you will be fine. Playing the game 100% legit, do you have any idea how hard it is to gear a toon? Like legit, a full bloody set, a +10 or more MAGE weapon, another epic jewels + brooch jewels is literally 100b+ adena. I mean seriously? You should have that kind of income to be considered ok for a group?

So one-shotting other players resp. being one-shotted is not a consideration for him. But in PvE Feohs seem to be doing well. Just as a reminder, the first Korean players to reach lvl 99 back in the day were a Nuker party AoE-ing in the Orbis Temple :)
