Adena start droping after level 20 i think but the amount is very small. I am low level myself (76) so i really wonder when they become worthwhile to pick them up lol. Most i have seen from a mob is like 120 from regular and 400 from a little tougher one.
So far its not worth to pick them up because it would make leveling twice as long with very little reward.
the good thing is you dont really need any adena because you get all the armor/weapons and soulshots for free that will last you until 85 i think. I only bought 10-20 SoE and i have about 1.5m adena from quest rewards.
The Adena drop from monsters is awful, so don't expect to be rich with it, not worth pick up at any level. The 101 party hunting zones drop 30-40k adena per mob, worthless.
Adena here you make from Raid boss drop, such as Open Field Raid boss (Hard to make, because of the RTM noobs) or Instances drop after 85 level like Kartia and more on higher levels, but it's also low for me (Enchant weapon R, Elcyum powder, Recipes Armor Weapon etc.) things that cost few million.
The other way is L2Store buy and sell for adena, for those who have good salary and see L2 as a good product to invest in.
And the Events if you are lucky. If no, then you may go on -
Buying adena from the spammers in town for real money can lead to Ban or Scam or you may get lucky and continue playing. Very Risky !!!

All d-s80 grade gear you will take by system...
Find mentor... Join any clan akademy (to get free baffs, r 85 basic set/weap/jewels after get lvl 85)
Start play with 2 chars your + iss/heal/ertheia race... (ertheia best)
After reach lvl 85 go zaken/k85/freya
90-97 fortuna/spezion
93+ istina
95+ octavis
97+ cc/baylor
and etc
collect adena to buy r95 set and apo/specter weapon 300...
join oly with 2 nobl char and buy special oly jewelry...
after 85 try to find active clan with clan skills/teamwork/boxes ...

It's funny because your posts shows that you haven't made an alt in some time. Steel coins haven't been a thing for a while. Fortunately you do get paulina gear that is generally good for the class. Although my overlord/warcyers got melee based weapons when steal essence spam is far superior. That problem was fixed by buying 5 dollars in nc coins and using the caster weapon out of the 1 nc coin armor/weapon set.
It's pretty hard to find a zaken party as most running it have a static it seems.
Joining a clan at 85 can be quite frustrating or almost impossible. Most of the good clans won't look at anyone below 95 =/ Just keep at it and you'll find something. I found myself in an clan of alts just so I can get the clan teamwork bonus (usually 4). I can't get into the clan that the mains are in due to level requirement.
You won't be needing adena below lvl 85 or maybe even up to lvl 90.
Get 30-day Paulina's set after awaken.
Do the 10-day quest from Tulesir for daily shots and other rewards.
On the 10th day you will receive free talisman and shirt.
Do the swampland quest(included on 10-day quest from Tulesir), get up to 400 quest items for 5kk+ adena and 1kkk+ xp reward.
Do the one time Fortuna quest at lvl 90 for 47kk+ adena.
At lvl 90 you will have atleast 100kk+ adena if you do these all.
Or as they say, do the easy way, sell L2Store items.
