I want to bring some thoughts to the people but especially to NCSoft Staff and Juji who might be able to forward it or spawn thoughts from it.
As a follow up on the mass bans for bots and scripts, witch was a very nice act atlast from NCWest staff. About time, but as i said, as a follow up on that alot of people got banned and lost intresst in playing due to there gaming rutins and the gameplay in generall was changed. Cheaters are cheaters and shall be banned i dont wanna protect them in anyway.
As a result due to this and from bad updates from NCSoft the gaming spirit has been way decreased.
Do you want to save Lineage II or is it just a "let it roll out" kinda thing?
Lineage II has a great gaming base with a sucky game engine (abit buggy and bad fps etc). The Game itself is awesome and has been since start. It has it all and has been out 12 years now. Alot of other games has picked ideas from L2 and worked and progressed it. Why is it so hard for NCSoft to develop and continue making this a gaming experience. You are at the moment feeding on gambiling, greedy p2w ppl. Thats what pays you sallery. But you are killing the gaming spirit. I understand the conscept and ofc you should continue doing so, BUT YOU CAN NOT FORGET THE GAME! You will have nothing without the people.
You can not grow in population by dominating gambilng as a main aspect. The game will die, it leaves a bad reputaion and it leaves people sick and tired.
I wanna inclued the botting, RMT aspect here also, cause it isnt really 100% fixed but atleast you have started to work on it seriouse, it seems.
What Lineage II needs is freedom, what people want is to feel free and have opertunities in a MMO and explore, pve easy with party forming and run into people that are exping, join up with them and have fun.
They want to pvp openly, strive around and find someone and something. Build stradegies, conquer areas etc. People want to feel strong as team and clan and also solo. People want to be free.
Lineage II back in the days also know as Lineage II Classic now days is as it use to be.
An open world MMORPG.
The open world MMORPG doesnt exist today, maybe it does but it isnt there, is it the players fault or have you at NCSoft directed us.
You think you're evolving the game by listing to greed, find the balance and the purity of gaming.
Anyway, enough critics... you well know the drill.
L2 Classic servers have opened up and drawn tons of players. Why dont you remake the old areas into usefull areas to wake up nostalic feelings from everyone and let players return.
Increase the levels of monsters at:
• Ol Mahum Camp lvl 100+
• Orc barrack lvl 100+
• Ants Nest 99+ and Ant Queen 102 (Waste land 98+)
• Bee Hive (Dion Area) 101+
• Cruma Tower 101+
• Oren + Sea of spores 100+
• Rune areas +103
• Aden territories 102+
• Tower of Insolence 100+
You get the idea.
Keep Atelia, Garden of spirits and Helios as it is, with superion as a Elite ground.
Add daily good exp quest to improve leveling. Add Rose Essence, 1hour runes etc as Quest rewards instead of Adena... Bots wont have to much use of EXP items, and how much do u lose? You gain people and get a population.
Make the 0-85 areas, Talking Island, Gludin, Gludio, Elven Village, Haraks.
0-85 isnt a issue, and 85-99 isnt a big deal either now days. You need to start focusing on end game.
If you want us to spend money on something that has no gameplay you can just shut down the server.
Sieges arent that intressting anymore either. We've done it for 10 years now, imporve it!
Change the mechanics of the Siege. Maybe add pve asspects to it. Add a Raidboss at every Throne Room that might drop Dark Stones. doesnt have to be high % chance but make it happen as a defens plan for the castle keeper. Make the Castle owners buy a Siege bosses, defending it.
Conquring a castle in PVP should reward and also help smaller clans to keep a caslte.
Make olympiads cross server matches during weekends and during weekdays normal oly + coc.
Say you make every character particepate in olympiad and coc - 5 matchs/day Monday-Thursday.
Cross-Server/Dim Olys and coc on weekends Fri-Sunday, with 5-10 matches/day and make the entery online 24/7 so we dont have to time it with Euro/Asian/USA timezones.
This creates FREEDOM to the player and attracts people to the game.
If the server doesnt get new blood the old will clot.
Get a grip and start thinking of the possibilities and stop focusing on the $$$ income becasue the $$$ will come with poupularity, 100% sure of that.
But start working on some real updates. Please... There is thousands of people and fans of Lineage II and i haven't mentioned the 10-20 private servers that has thousands of people playing activly.
Start working and Stand out! You will get rewared!
