Dark weapons = 25% pvp damage(15% dark option + 10% from 2SA)
Now against an opponent with
a full darkset = 20% PvP def
Abundance = 15% PvP def
Obsidian LvL4 = 11%, LvL5 = 15%
It's 25% PvP attack vs 50% PvP def, so Dark Weapons 25% PvP damage is cancelled out. Even with LvL5 Amethyst 15%, PvP attack is still only 40% vs 50% PvP def...
In this case, Bloody weapons should do just about the same damage...
Yeah, against an opponent full of PvP defense, Dark or Bloody shouldn't make any difference.
I suppose 25% PvP damage works great against the players without any PvP Defense but in this case, Bloody weapons should do just fine to deal with them since their gears are not so good anyways...
Isn't PVP damage "PVP damage" no matter what weapon you use, so yes give me Dark because PVE will be even less damage with out the bonus to offset some of the defense bonuses. so 15% less damage with Bloody, just on the purely observational aspect of the numbers.
If someone has PVP 100% defense as we has seen in the past = it doesn't matter what weapon "NO DAMAGE".

Hmm...I was hoping for some more serious discussions here, but it looks like it didn't go quite well as intended. Well, thanks for those of you who gave me some honest answers.
My goal here was to show everyone how ridiculous it is to have the separation of PvP and PvE gears in Lineage2.
Games like WOW have the separation simply because their income is based on monthly subscription so it was necessary to double the play time of players to double the money they make; and they could only do this cuz players of WOW, they all get their gears for FREE by simply playing the game, i.e. Raid for PvE & BattleGround, Arena for PvP.
However, in Lineage2, having the top PvE or PvP gear is just ridiculously expensive. I think one should be enough, not two.
Maybe I will try to be more direct next time, I guess...

3 years playing the game on pay to play on 1 account, when free to play started i xfer all i had with my toon to magmeld with ncwest free xfer to that dead server cos they couldnt handle the bots on the first tersi light event, i didnt knew where i was going to, so when they opened the xfer to get out of magmeld i bought 4.800 nccoin xfer all my stuff back to chronos and a few years later i bought 2400 nccoin to enchant my shiny shirt, i was on the edge trying to compete with 78b gear farmed by my hands, but in the end i giveup, i could no longer compete so i did what everyone does when quit game and leave ncwest, i though it was for good but i m here again :(
i heard that the race exchange service would come back to game, so i start again from scratch, bought 4.000 nccoin to buy the service to keep rapid fire+rapid shot on my human archer. i cant put money on game, these 4.000 coins are the money i had to buy food for my whole month. minimum wage here is 800 r$ reais, 4.000 nccoins = 200 r$ reais. i leave in brasil, i m poor, my mom and dad helps me with my colege and my house, before free to play paying 15usd was ok, but the amount of money game requires now is way beyond my wallet.
