It is every Lineage2 player's dream to have that Pay-To-Play once again.
Just the thought of everybody starting the same and achieving everything by fair play, is enough to put a smile on my face.
Sadly though, in reality, this is just not possible with the current state of Lineage2. We just don't have enough player base to sustain the game service with just the monthly fee plan from players; and here is one other thing. There are these people who don't mind spending $100 a month, and some other guy who don't mind spending $500 a month, and some other guy even 2-3k a month...so why not take advantage of their spending power and help the game? Besides, people who want to spend money on the game will find the way one way or the other and end up doing RMT off the game...that's money loss for NC and also supports cheaters & botters.
However, the truth is...with just Nstore promos and events, we are not gonna attract new players to the game, and the game will keep losing and losing players over time and will die eventually. Just think about it. You are a 20-something young guy trying Lineage2 for the first time and you see all these geared chars. You ask people how to get gears and find out, the only way to have those is through Nstore only pretty much....at the cost of thousands of USDs...Do honestly think this young guy will stick around and keep playing the game? So this is the very problem of Lineage2 at the moment.
So, here is what I propose for Lineage2's future.
Within the game of Lineage2, simply make 2 different levels of game play.
Currently Lineage2 is kinda like that but it needs to be even more clear and directed.
1. Level 1 contents for Nstore Spenders
&
2. Level 2 contents for people who just wanna play and not spend a lot.
Level 1 players = Bloody weapon 12+, Bloody set 8+ type of players with LvL 4-5 Jewels, well... you get the picture...
Level 2 players = Kelbim or Tauti type of gears, +6 eternal set players. They don't clear Kama99 under 10 minutes like full bloody party, but they can still clear the instance under 30-40 minutes. I am thinking something like Account bound gears via Quests...like Paulina gears for R95?? something like that will be great.
So this way, we get to keep the new comers and returners in the game and longer they play, some of them will want to move to Level 1 to enjoy the full contents of Lineage2.

In the past, I've shared my Nstore promo, event plays here at the forum for fun and information sharing, and yes I admit I was cocky about it sometimes, but that's just a small part of me. Spending money at Nstore is just a fraction of my Lineage2 play, and you don't know me.
P2p is better then f2p, but it should be either completly new server without server transfers available, or an old one, but after full wipe and again without server transfers available.
As for the money... Subscription should cost $100+! In that case it would be less chances of botting and the audience will be older...
It would be awesome if there would be 2 types of account subscriptions:
1 - $100 mothly fee for regular account (x1 rates, no vit, no runes, 4-5 hours of daily access);
2 - $250 monthly fee for vip account (x1 rates, no vit, no runes, 10-12 hours of daily access).
I'd like to see no OP items in game store. It should be skins for armor/weaapon, and maybe runes for additional hours, lets say $3 each extra hour.
Some want Pay to Play because they cannot afford more than $25 usd a month.
Others want Pay to Play because they will not spend 1 cent on Ncoin,
because it used to be, and Should be FREE!!! , their Cheating has been unjustly Taken Away!
Also they don't want "Randoms" to be Competitive.
There is also an element that play ... searching for a way, to make a living
or at least some extra income. They would be Happy to go Pay to Play as long as they can sell any extra goodies they get, for more than what they've invested.
Most of the poorly geared level 95-102 boxed avatars in a random K99,Balok,K95,or Epic Oct,Istina,and Tauti, sell the Good Stuff they get for real money.
Personally, Free to Play / Pay to Play., I except Both....it's the Scam's RMT Bots and Cheaters that need to go!

P2P no, but I keep saying.... Premium Accounts like what they do in Europe would've been a way better move back when they went F2P. Would've given NCWest a fixed income a month, because face it; 100% of the server base was used to paying monthly anyway and 50% of them would've accepted that paying monthly for double exp/sp/adena/droprates would balance out.

Yes it was a completely different game. But it had a massive share of problems still. Instead of nc coin, RMT and adena sellers were FAR more rampant. As were bots. Bots are leveling here, but higher level areas are in general emptied out of bots on current server
Old school P2P days, Every room of a catacomb was bots, most areas with xp was bot trains...
The only real difference was who made the money. Back then, RMT was done via bots, who sold adena for players who bought that to have crazy OE gear as pay to win. Now NC Soft makes the money for P2Win.
Besides, the game stat back then was different, there wasn't bloody / dark. It was an entirely different game. Going pay to play now will not have a realistic effect on the game. L2 has ALWAYS had bots and will continue to do so due to the grindy nature, gear dependence for "top level" stuff, and the general way game is now played.
L2 isnt a game about how good you are, it's about how geared you are. Pay to play wont change that. Just saying...
before f2p the community is up to 4.5k till 9k only from naia and chronos, less than 1500 accounts were 85 max xp (game census), from all these account u got less say 4% of autos, since they were banned day after day and HAD TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING since subs d grade gear, c grade gear, etc AND BUFFS, all the bots who had buffs were found in trains easy bannable as we saw it. WE SAW IT DUDE, U DONT, U JUST MOUTH TALK ABOUT IT, THINGS U KNOW FROM PRIVATE SERVER FROM PLAYERS THAT USED TO PAWN U THERE.
today all the server combined almost get to 4k (WE ALL SAW IT ON THE CHARACTER CREATION CLOSED WEEK)
and before ppl start talk bs about catacombs too, from c2 to c5 most of ppl there were chinese farmers not bots, and u can se cleary youtube videos WITH MANY EMPTY SPOTS, SINCE THESE ACCOUNTS WERE BANNED ON DAILY BASES.

free to play sux, any free to play game cant control bots PERIOD.
WARNING: some c1 or c2 server maynot work with ******** so if you find an error like "loggin gameserver fail" first check all things in set.ini and if it doesnt work, we r working on it just be patient and play on lineage2world server, around 2500 player everytime and bot is working, rules for this forum are only 1 buffbot per player, try to not break too them...
-Then you need a bot, here we ll use ******** you can find it here for 10.2.3 version and for 10.3.4 version
-2 choice are offered to you, play on official server (then just configure your bot and run it) or play on private server (then continue to read the topic...)
-******** is configured for official server so you ll need to edit it to play on private server...
-download this file and drag and drop your l2.ini from your private server then a file named l2.clear.ini will be created. you dont need to do anything with it for now...
-then download this file and run it (this prog requiered java runtime environement that can be found here) and run it. leave it open
-now download this prog run it and select localhost on port 1080 and version 5 the program l open a new window, click on the new icon and add l2.exe from the system folder of lineage2 and click to run
-the game will start log in and run a little kill some monsters and exit the game
-go to l2-logger window then check analyzer in view and click on analyser icon then click to "file" and "open logfile" then select the log file (...lol?...) and note the protocol version (in the lengh case) then open set.ini from your ******** bot folder and in USA section replace the protocol version
-then open the l2.clear.ini and in serveradd copy the ip and paste it in set.ini always in the USA section... change the port to 2106 (if the bot cant connect at all use 7777 but its only for few server) you can also enter your account name and password but its not essential
-run the bot choose USA and the first server (bartz) enter your account name and password then click to log in and configure the option...
have fun and run bot only 1hour or 2 and not all the night, lineage 2 is a very good game and rates on private server are sufficient to play in-game
also this faq is inspired from the faq for bot of blizzhacker and from gamerzplanet and other site...
note: version 10.3.4 logout after 5seconds for me so i use 10.2.3 but maybe it ll work for you

Well I can also confirm the existence of servereal Bot Groups on Teon ! We have fightet in Branded Catacombs most of the time now, and now as we reached the end of this dungeon, where the Raid Boss resides, its really hard to get a spot... Its very easy to determine that those are bots... its always the same people mostly with one leader (a real player). You see that the other 4-5 people do everything automatically, they run to the leader, they sit down, stand up all the time... you can even attack them, they do nothing. If you train them then they force log (I wonder how they can do this during fights...)...
RMT has ALWAYS been prevalent in this game... ALWAYS. Pay to play had a bajillion bots. I started playing jsut before C1 hit. I remember when the first players got B grade items. I remember parties of people farming Cruma Tower.
It's the nature of this game style of grind forever to get stuff vs I want it now mentality. You want to fix the game, fix people's ideas of when they should get stuff.
Also the NC Store, honestly, if people want to spend thousands of dollar son a game, honestly who cares. At the end of the day it's a game, and it's their money to spend how they want. Dont like it? Play a new game....
What people do with their money is their business. Your jealously is being exposed to the public if you mention anything about others spending habits.
And regarding changes? Rampant cheating needs to be dealt with before making any further changes. What's the point if new players will just leave because of unsavory behavior.

You have some valid points here, although I don't like the derogatory remarks. By the way, I am not just some noob with a credit card. Maybe, you got the idea cuz most of my topics here at the forum in the past, have been mostly about Nstore promos & events? Well, if I play just 5 hrs a day for 1 month, I can make 10B easy just by boxing my toons, I just don't have the time in most days; still I think I make around 5B every month just by playing L2 whenever I can. Sometimes, I play the event mostly because I wanna have some fun, that's about it these days.
