he is totally right my friend, after the restart they did really increase the chance of failing to catch a fish. Fishing after servers went online again got really nerfed and all toons fail too much to catch a fish, even with the Fancy event rod equipped. Let's hope they do something and bring it back to the success rate it had before the server reboot.
sorry for double posting but i checked a little bit and it works like the normal fishing thing in regards to fishing success rates. Except for the XP boost and the Chest rewards. So yes they gave us a fishing success boost for like ~24 hours but then they brought it back to normal. They don't say that they give also fishing success boost, fishing works as it used to be, just with the XP boost and chest/coin rewards as a little "paid extra" :P

It used to say that we get 144 fishing per hour but now they edited the website announcement of the event itself and made it 150 fishing times per hour. They further removed the "success on catching a fish" by making it exactly the same like normal fishing rod. Thankfully I had managed to fish already 7k out of 10k baits and reach lvl 97/93 with my dwarf and 95 with SoS buffer lol. Now the only bonuses are the XP (quite great and huge) and the chance of some reward, extra heine coins that you get some of your money back etc. It's worth it really if u go for the XP, but they made us go crazy for 24h and then they brought the fishing success rate back to normal....Aw well.....

I agree to that as well, given the great XP amounts provided, but the XP after the restart is still according to the table posted @ the announcements. Adding 6 more chests per hour (144--->150) but reducing the fishing success similar to a normal fishing rod, makes the overall XP intake 30-35% less than before yesterday's restart. 30-35% less fishing success means 30% less Heine chest rewards which subsequently arrives to ~50% less chance for exclusive reward chests. Adding up the minimization of total and overall XP sum - up, leads to more than 45%+++ higher NC coin consumption & purchases to achieve similar objectives. Except if the dev team increased the rate of receiving an Exclusive Reward Chest, towards balancing at least the fail - success proportions of fishing in respect of the reward accomplishment. i would really love to have more success like b4 restart in regards to the deployment of a cost - effective player friendly perspective ;) I'm happy though that i can still pursue my objectives on the same context b4 the server restart.
still it's a quite good event, nobody can say the opposite as people can manage to get 99/99 as well as 101+ and get some nice rewards on top of that too... HAIL JUJI :P
Guys, don't be stupid, it's really simple math.
First of all, don't assume the success rate is 20% when you just failed 4 of 5 baits. You need a larger amount of samples in order to calculate the average success rate and XP properly.
Second, make sure you have a controlled environment, i.e. you are using shots, your level didn't change, you have equipped the same baits as before.
Third:
"-failed 30 times in 1h " = failed 30 of 144 baits = 20.8% failure / 79.2% success rate
"-1h ...-34 fails " = 23.6% fail / 76.4% success rate
"was have 500 have 150 chest and 312 Bait so 38 failed. so i lose 1 and half in each 10 bait. " = no idea what does this mean. "my england is very sorry" :p
"850 baits and i have 659 chests...so 191 fail " = 659 / 850 = 77.5% success / 22.5% failure rate
"500 bait=401 Chest so 98 failed" = 80.2% / 19.8% fail (you're the luckiest of all here, your spot is fine ;))
One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to see you are all doing pretty much the same. It's just that your feelings are hurt for whatever reason and you have to vent them here...
3k baits 2354 heine 3 box and after 242 exlusive boxes, as customer i disappointed because 1st statement event was like guys said above 150per h (fishing) and 100% successful. they change terms and condition contract without any information in normal situation is illegal, but they treat customers as child gamer not as customers for which they selling service.

It's pretty much close to a standard 80% success rate with all the baits that were ingame so far. I tracked the rate for at least 324hours and it's been consistent.

Normal fishing rods fish up to 30 times per hour, while the Fancy Fishing Rods can fish up to 150 times per hour.
One successful catch of a fish box is worth 816,820,938 multiplied by 150 and then by successfactor 0,8 you get to a final 98,018,512,560 per hour (what is in the event table) so working as intended.
Right after the unscheduled maintenance it looked like I was getting 70% success but after a larger sample of over 1000 and another over 2000 it was more like the standard, right around the 80% mark.
