So let me start off by saying the whole process of this contest was jankdefied. The submit link didn't work, the rules stated other guidelines than what was posted and then there was as promised live stream that never happened. They deleted the post on their twitters and failed to tell anyone what was going on. Finally told us a video would be uploaded and then proceeded to post the winners on the site completely defeating the purpose of the live steam/video and wasting people's halloween sitting around waiting for something that didn't happen.
Then I look at the winners for the contest. Particularly the digital ones because the real ones are honorable. Now if these winners were actually reward worthy, or even contestable I wouldn't have a problem. I would just let it go and say **** should have thought of that, or wow they did a good job. But all 3 of the digital winners look like they literally took 10 minutes to make. Coming from a graphic design standpoint I could have done any one of those in the matter of minutes and called it good. I spent over 10 hours on mine and at the moment, I'm not even 100% sure if my submission got in. Which I sent out on the 26th. Being that I was forced to email the submission cause the link didn't work and my first email failed. And I never got any confirmation email. Time doesn't always equal quality but I can tell you everyone I showed it to was highly impressed. Now maybe you disqualified me because I added non pumpkin elements or made a some what elaborate background, but no where in your description did you say you couldn't. Any who I'm extremely bothered by the lack of commitment, communication, and overall judging of this contest. Here's a link to my design if anyone was wondering. Compare it to the ones that won and you be the judge.
My only problem with the contest is that KillTime doesn't need any more gear!! QQ :p
K, so next time I'll trace something in paint, and then place it on top of the pumpkin with a gradient color, submit it and win a 300 dollar weapon. Or take a picture, fill it with a solid color and overlay it. Soooo much creativity and originality there. Even the other games had better digital winners. But l2 was a total flop.
That being said, I think if you are going to post a event announcement, including saying you are going to do a live stream, then you should actually go through with it, those of us in the contest, would like to have seen the process even if we didn't win.

Are you kidding? They aren't great looking at all. None of them. Only the first one is even some what decent. If you can even call it that cuz it aint even a pumpkin. All of these are just images thrown on. Didn't even attempt to make it actually look like it was carved.
Let's start off by taking a look at Virtual pumpkins. The "virtual" pumpkin sent by ginha from Naia is either NOT virtual or NOT using the pumpkin picture provided by ncsoft. Either way - ITS NOT A CORRECT VIRTUAL ONE.
So why waste time and provide that useless ugly pumpkin picture and force us to use it, when any random pumpkin can win lol.
The RedDragon one wasnt drawn virtually either - its pasted from real life drawing (check top of the pumpkin cuts without precission). With all the glossy effects and so on.
The middle one is a joke, lol.

They did, as this was strict criteria to which we had to adhere when judging the submissions for all games. If there's an IRL carving image in the article that doesn't have a sign with the required info, it means the person submitted multiple images (with at least one including a sign) and we posted whichever image we felt looked the best for our announcement article.
Hey! I was wondering and hoping, there would be a place L2 (and the other games) could go and see all the entries, seems a waste to not be able to see all the hard work the community put in the pumpkins and then not get to see them, I am a huge Halloween fan to boot, I am sure I am not the only one who is wishing for an album or something, maybe up load to the Facebook fan sites in 2 albums for the real pumpkins and virtual ones. just a though, I really would like to see them all ^_^
This would also probably satisfy some of the people who are worries that their submission didn't go through. if they could see their pumpkins on display for enjoyment in an online album.

Your work has no relation to carving. It's completely drawing.
But would be kinda nice from NC to check all info about participants (I bet most of them ain't from US) and give some small gift fir everyone who entry the contest like a 400 (5$) or 800 (10$) of Ncoins.

What are you talking about? Mine is the only one on here that even looks remotely like a carving. The rest are literally just images pasted onto a pumpkin. Mine specifically has layers of the pumpkin missing, depth along the edges of where it was cut out. Different textures for the outer surface, medium surface, and inside of the pumpkin. Along with proper shading, lighting that illuminates the inside glow, and dimension. My pumpkin actually has an inside that interacts with other subjects, has pieces of the pumpkin still left hanging along with pumpkin seeds. Not to mention I even made the carving bow to the circumference of the pumpkin so it actually looked realistic. Not these 2d images that dont even taper off the edges. People make me laugh. How is the 2nd one a carving? It's literally a drawing in paint with a gradient filling. This was a draw a picture or screen shot a picture and paste into a pumpkin template contest. In no way was it a virtual pumpking carving contest.
i think the rewards are a joke. +12 bloody weapons/end game weapons all round for a irrelevant contest. While other spend yrs trying to get one. 1200 nccoins for the winners should of been sufficient enough of an reward.
I feel so sad and awfully disappointed about this event. :(I spent many time with carv my pumkin and make my real life Hallowen Npc. (Not a joke it's a real size Halloween NPC form L2, handmade, took 6 days)
