in a raw p.attack yes, however pve/pvp weapons +15 do more dmg due to 15% dmg increase according to the state of the weapon

I agree with you, if the weapon is for Feoh or Yul.
Feoh's Magic damage is the square root of the magic power(somehow? why??nuff?LOL) and most of Yul Archer's damage comes from skill damage and it's the combination of weapon damage + skill damage.

We all know we can trade weapons when Red Libra come!
You can trade +24 Blessed ApoBow into a Tyrr weapon like fighter, slasher, stormer etc. 99.99% tyrr damage comes from auto attacks so +24 Blessed Apo weapon value becomes actually comparable to bloody + dark!
So the 2642 p.atk of +24 Blessed ApoBow when made into Tyrr weapon becomes comparable to +16 or +17 Bloody&Dark, I think. LOL
Just taking out 15% Bloody or Dark option damage gives,
2642/1.15 = 2297 P.atk
+16.80% SoulShot damage = +16 or +17 Bloody&Dark when made into Tyrr weapon.
For those of us that think to take advantage of the knowledge of being able to exchange gear to R99 when this update comes out which may quite well be another 8 Months before that particular part gets to NCWest if Juji doesn't decide to remove it just like he did with the improved epics -> really go check the cost involved for upgrading anything higher then +16 as those amounts are insane as in 175+bil for just R Gems & Crystals insane for a +19/20 weapon
aka don't go nuts on the OE during the current event or spent insane amounts of adena for something that we may not even get or won't be able to afford to upgrade anyways ;)
ps, that's besides the usual costs to replace high sa crystals / adding PVP/PVE to said weapon / 3rd SA crystal / bless R95 & R99 scrolls / re applying augment etc
pps, pretty sure those new raid stones will sell for more then rune stone prices so add another 100bil in total for those for anything higher then +19

Still, +24 is the max enchant level and I think it's pretty much One-And-Only in all of NCwest Server. Even if the upgrade cost is 1 Trillion Adena, I think it's worth it. But yeah, it's all up to Juji and NCwest whether or not they will introduce the upgrade system I guess.
+24 is not the max OE lol.. there's no max.. Korea has weapons higher then +27
people who try to OE that high need a better hobby though or a special place in a mental / gambling addiction clinic
or they are just rich in real life....who knows?
but yeah...it's kinda ridiculous how costly End Game Lineage2 is compared to other games. I must say, it's a game at the frontier of creating a new game culture for the world! not sure if it's headed in the right direction though...

2,257,266 R Crys = approx 40Bil
21,889 = approx. 30Bil
adena = 3BIL
1.647 of these new items = price unknown.
How u calculate 175 BIL ?
R95 to R99 Weap +16:
approx. 18BIL + 442 of these new items.
Not cheap for sure, but not insane.
Given the droprate of these new things is not abyssmal.

So yes, its not out of the realm of possibilty that this gets done, But I wouldnt expect to see a huge influx of +20 dark weapons made this way. Will be a few for sure. I think It will be good for economy, will clear the server of excess gears.
With those 6 Protection Crystals you could upgrade a +6 Blessed Seraph Legging to a +6 unblessed Eternal Legging, not the Gloves, not the Shoes, not anything else.
With those 4 Combat Spirit Crystals you couldn't do anything. The lowest number of those Crystals you need is 7, for upgrading a Blessed +7 Apocalypse weapon into an unblessed +7 Specter weapon.
That being said, I would like to remind everybody that there wasn't really that much negative feedback for the Improved Epics, while with the Upgrading System that was introduced on October 19, 1 1/2 months after Forcebringer went live (i.e. we might not even get it in our next update) disappointed players unleashed a veritable tempest of excrement: http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=1694&start=210#p34462
The probability for the developers to remove this feature for the export version is relatively high, especially since the versions are drifting further and further apart nowadays (vide the upgraded PvP/PvE armors in Japan and nowhere else).
