Unfortunately that's how the 2016'th Lineage 2 isn't.
You know the problem.
You, those that manage the game are far too greedy.
You only think at ways of how to drain the rich player's pocket.
You don't think at ways of how to make the game more open for everyone.
The normal player hasn't any decent options of how to evolve, of how to be competitive.
The gap between the rich player and the normal one is too large.
I write all this because I like the game very much. It will be a pity to die.
With less than 8 k players on 4 servers at it's peak you can say that it's almost dead.
Why this state?
You can blame the other games for stealing your players.
But that's not the problem.
You and only you are the ones to blame.
You with your policy you've let them do that.
You've made a free to play game that is 100 times more expensive that a subscribed one.
You won't gain players this way. Never.

It is not their goal to get new players. When they have lost enough players, that it is no longer profitable enough, they will just shut down the servers. Simple, ez, they don't care.
