Disregarding those players who use other characters to feed their respective main characters as well as those who struggle to acquire only GE, i do not see any apparent reason for those below 99 to do oly or coc. It's something to be serious or fun, but isn't.
I understand the base level of players doing CoC/Oly be 99 + atm.
Although it is very uneven at the moment Ability System from level 99.
Anyway, when Grand Crusade update comes with Ability System rewamped from level 85+, i hope more players can change their attitude to the point where they can get a chance to make CoC/Oly with some motivation, I mean, any player who's 97 be as competitive as a level 102 player so only because he has 5 APs less than the opponent a.k.a player level 97 has five skills less in the Ability System Tree than ppl level 102.
And yes, it does very well for personal ego to have my alt Eviscerator 97 defeat any level 100+ player at times, imagine this for the other players who have nothing to be proud of. And I do not expect any player below level 99 to become CoC/Oly hero, but at least he can dream or be unwelcome/bother to others.
there always was problems in oly, low pointers meet "heroes", low levels meet high levels etc etc..
oly is far from balanced since c4. ok, most balanced and interesting fights was dwarfs class based in c4 :D but thats it. :)
Oly is not ruined...its just some low lvls enter to win :)
I would change Oly/Coc minimum lvl to 100 or 101...in that way a hero would be a true hero.
Now most heroes are a product of feeding(if you dont know, you log in the same time with 10-12 85 lvl chars and the sistem will asign you with 1 of them).
To fight for hero you have to be high lvl, olympiad have a purpose...to win the hero or to be in first 3 places. It doesnt have to be fun...
CoC have also a purpose...to win the belt. PPl use TS and make "party" inside...they are making this competition a group effort.
From 14-16 ppl, 4-6 are afk, 2-3 hunt in "party", 2-3 are too weak to fight and mby they have 2 oponents to fight for. Nothing fun in that.
Above all, both competition give to "fresh meat" rewards...stones,marks,GE,etc.
In my eyes, changing AP sistem to get from 85 lvl its bad...its good as it is.
Ppl should focus on lvl up their chars to lvl 100 minimum and then to think at pvp...
Ps: a 97 lvl killing a 102 char in oly is a abomination, none should be able to do that.
