If I remember correctly, this is not gonna happen. ever. You were told that up front. You moved there for a fresh start, now deal with it. But maybe I'm wrong, it happens.

This seems like the usual event process where things don't really happen any more but the event NPC stays in town for one more week so that you can turn in your last remaining items :)
November 16 to December 14, 2016:
During the main event period the alien spy L2B2 NPC is in town. Alien Researchers are invading level 85+ hunting zones! Monster Research books will drop from monsters.
December 7 to December 14, 2016:
The L2B2 NPC remains in-game. Monster Research no longer drops from monsters.
It clearly states that aliens suppose to be until 14th, and monsters wont drop researches from 7th to 14th. Dont know why they arent in the game :)
Also what would be the point of leaving the laser gun in game for week, when its useless without the aliens to shoot at...:confused:
It's not entirely useless... buy Wooden Bolts, or infinite container(no grade) then go PVP with ppl that are using L2B2 transformation. don't use skills tho cause that transform has no skills either.

As Robert De Niro pointed out in "Ronin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronin_(film))", the map is not the territory and the event page is not the event. With the one and only Juji being in Korea, misleading text was to be expected.
Like with all other events, the "main event period" the announcement refers to is to be understood as the full event period minus one week :)
