NCWest & Rates

Hi all

Since we seem to lack some enlightening figures as to enchant / success rates i have a few to share here.

Fortune pocket enhancing

I tested with 10x a pack of 1000 fortune pockets.
Total of 1000 fortune pockets per turn in test and i end up with on average 189 stage 2 fortune pockets which is about 19%.
After this first phase on the 2nd turn in phase i ended up with 72 stage 3 fortune pockets on average which works out to less then 30%.

Skill enchanting

98% success chance for the skill to go from 0 to +1, it failed 8 times in a row which is 1 to 46 million chance for this to possibly happen (base comparison calculation performed with 2% chance to fail with 8 failing in a row).
Total attempts 80 since that is the total books i had to test with but this is the worst statistical improbability that i ever seen.

"high chance" blessing scrolls

Unsure what the high chance really works out to or supposed to mean since we wont see actual % but with the amount i currently did it seems to work out to about 25% chance to succeed.
Fail 3 vs 1 success per 4 scrolls for a total of 28 scrolls so far with 7 items making it to blessed.

Crafting (60% chance)

Attempted to craft 59 packs of items.
Used: maestro with good luc using +3 luc hair + maphr + alien luc to maximise the chances.
Result: 0 blessed items, 1 double craft, out of 59 items only 9 succeeded.
15% chance is the final % that it comes down to.
These results used to be way better without all these new items giving "more" chance.

Faction talisman

Attempted to upgrade 50x.
Highest talisman i seen was stage 5 (only 1x), pretty hard to give a conclusive percentage on this but given most only went 4 i would say this one is very bad chance so like 12.5% or so.

Seed talisman

No way, very wasteful so i am sorry but someone else will have to test this one.

Item enchanting (mix of R R95 and R99 armor)

For giant scrolls i only calculate overall success not what end results produced for rates of +6/+7/+8.

Method 1: giant scroll with 30% stone
Method 2: giant scroll
Method 3: blessed scroll
method 4: blessed scroll with 30% stone

5 attempts with 30% stone and giant scroll at +5 exclusively, 2 success 3 fails, result one +6 and one +7.
Too small pool to really give a conclusive percentage but from this tiny pool i can only say 40% thereabout, too expensive to test with a bigger pool (LF more donations because these too expensive to test with :D).

32 attempts with giant scroll at exclusively at +5, 10 success 22 fails, 5 +6 4 +7 1 +8
Seems about 31% or so.

189 attempts (this was mainly to boost items from +3 to +5 for giant scroll test).
for +3 to +4 had 52 fails
For +4 to +5 had 38 fails
Total of 90 fails out of 189 scrolls works to about 50% ratio of success.

28 attempts (this was mainly to boost items from +3 to +5 for giant scroll test).
For +3 to +4 had 10 fails
For +4 to +5 had 11 fails
Total of 21 fails out of 28 scrolls works to about 25% ratio of success... wait what? how can this be lower then no stone?
Ok my pool was only 14% of no stone tries but still i would have expected way better from this one!

Augments

Sorry the list is extreme for this one, its impossible to really give a good rate for anything since its all over the place really but here are the most interesting ones.
Total of 350 tries with top grade stones.

2x 9% pvp defense 0.5%
1x 9% patk 0.3%
5x 30% stun/knockdown 1.4%
28x 1-9% crit damage (9% was highest i seen) 8%

My own conclusion
Sorry but i have to be very harsh in my verdict this one, it feels broken beyond belief for most of these figures.
I understand the need to have adena sinks and it does seem to do a fair job at that but these figures are not promoting sales at all specially given the fact one of the results actually returned worse with ncstore items.

As i promised to do a test like this and got given most of the supplies to attempt with since the other person was just as curious to know but did not want to do all the work of calculating the % ;) i did the hard work of being a statistic hoarder :p.
Thanks for giving me this opportunity, it is really revealing, since i kinda did enjoy doing this i also added a few of my own tests for more complete result (fortune pockets, skill enchanting and top grade stones for augmenting).

Anything i missed? let me know and i see what i can add.
Most of the stats i need to do from donations however so i might not always be able to perform a test unless your willing to provide supplies if this is the case (specifically things involving ncstore).
ncwest....
Your wasted time and money goes into a black hole :D
Your wasted time and money goes into a black hole :D

this.

Probably but at the same time its fun to do when its not fully costing me to try it all :D

I do hope others are able to provide their own tests to fill in some blanks.
If not wanting to write down each individual result and then compile the results i am ok with doing the tests depending on cost.
Fortune Pockets

I made large sum of my adena reselling those, therefore I used a bit more of them than you did. 9.8 Stage 1 to get 1 Stage 3. Rate calculated upon hundreds of thousands of those mouse damaging pockets stage 1...

Augments

This one is tricky. One clanmate used nearly 800 or so top stones to get p. skill crit. damage 15%.
On the other hand I made m. skill crit damage 15% (buster) with ~150 I think and I clearly recall that I made p. skill crit. damage 15% (shooter) and p crit. damage 15% (duals) with ~400 top stones in total. I also tried to get active reflect damage using top stones and got 3 crit damage 15% (2x m, 1x p) on 3 seperate apo casters within 50 stones range.

Blessing scrolls

Managed to bless ~5 items with ~15 low chance scrolls (was blessing them one after another) and failed to bless one weapon with 4 high and 5 low in a row, and there was occassion I needed 32 low for 1 weapon.

Bottom line

Statistics are not based on small number of event, you need a lot more observations to tell the rates. I managed to make +12 r bow with ~5 red cards one day and it took me ~35 on another to make +13 slasher (still crying in my sleep) as it was just jumping +1 -1.
I am not defending the current rates, but bear in mind, that with base rates being "too high" people with maphr shirts, unlimited nano buffs, etc will have nearly 100% enchant rate, therefore base level must be kept as low as possible which hurts the players in "rags". And I also have a strong suspicion that certain rates are altered during events in order to "balance" economy after unproportioned amount of items is dropped out of reward boxes.

Since we seem to lack some enlightening figures as to enchant / success rates i have a few to share here.

Fortune pocket enhancing

Usually chance is like a 10 packets level 1 = 1x packet level 3
I did it a lot of times, and always I get level 3 pack from 9-11 packets of level 1

Skill enchanting

98% means you might fail even 20 times, but after that you won't fail 980 times (at enchanting skill +1), so this % is a crap, Korean random is really random.

"high chance" blessing scrolls

High chance is about 60% afak.
But I bless 5 items of my set and my R99 weapon. 0 fails. All of them was R99.
But when my friend ask me to bless his TW pants - we got fail.
Random.

Crafting (60% chance)

If your LUC is less than 60 - your LUC don't work.
Don't ask why, don't ask for tests, I'll not explain/give a proof.
VERY Rough math:
35 LUC = ~61% craft
51 LUC = ~63% craft
60 LUC = ~68% craft

Faction talisman

Mine on is level 6.
BB faction is level 4 and 69.98%

Seed talisman

Totally makes me cry.
From Desire to Longing - fail ~15 times and decide to buy Sealed Longing for 8b.

Item enchanting (mix of R R95 and R99 armor)

I had my set +8 with boots +9.
Then I spend 3.6b for White card/bear/gear/ear/alien buff(+10% enchant rate)/some LUC pot/some alien nano
And now my set is full +8, even boots.

But I know a one guy, who spend couple billions and got his set from +8 to +10

Augments

I spend ~200 top grade Spirit Stones for take the augment for +15% P critical Damage.

My own conclusion
Don't blame a game for a random chances.
even 99% means 9 900/10 000. So it might be fail 100 times in a row (if you're VERY "LUCKY")
Thanks for sharing your results.
little funny story from 2 weeks ago:
I had bought 50 low chance bless scrolls R95 armor and wanted to bless the set of my CP Tank. I had good experience with those scrolls in the past, so I hoped to get at least 3 or 4 parts of his set blessed.

Outcome: 46 fails in a row, 1 success, 3 more fails.

My friend had 2 same scrolls (low chance) himself, so I said nvm go try it. Guess what, 2x success.

Statistic after 50 tries: 2% chance to succeed
Statistic after 52 tries: close to 6% chance to succeed.

or like this:
"My" Statistic: 2% chance to succeed
"His" Statistic: 100% chance to succeed.

Exactly what I was talking about :)

Hello together,

First of all, I wanna wish to all, beautiful and bright welcome of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. The world is straight projection of our feelings and actions. Keep smiling and have courage to face the life with dignity and honor.

Hope that my post (regarding my personal "agumentation" experience) more or less will be valuable for those who may have interest.
I received +15% Critical Damage on my polearm (Clean Amaranthine on +5) after 3 th try.
Before that on 2-H Sword (B-Grade) I had more than 125 inadequate and minor type agumentations (except 1 active skill which raise received heal amount).
For all years that I participate in this so beautiful and in same time so strange world of Lineage, practice show me that there is no logic in this processes, or at least no logic for everyone except DEV teams etc.

As result, and taking into consideration all side facts, especially the one, that there is no official statistics, and from time to time this annoying feeling rises, that someone purposely hide the data from players, i think that NCSoft "Random / Chance / Probability Systems" could easily win a World prize for inexplicable behavior.

Once more, happy holydays, good luck in the game and don’t forget to smile.

Best Regards.
With Respects:
