I hear so many people QQing about +20, +30 OE weapons, saying how the game is becoming rather ridiculous and I agree with them to a certain extent; but guess what people? New Lavien Rose Jewels are coming and they are more stronger and powerful than before...So, what's really going on in Lineage2?
Here is What I think.
The biggest problem of Lineage2 has always been keeping the Top players happy and interested in the game. Many Top level Geared players leave L2 because there isn't much to do... they leave simply cuz the game has become too old for them, nothing new and they are bored with the game. This is the reason why L2 needs constant updates to bring new contents and items.
NC already has new Series of items higher than R99 I think. I heard something about Lindvior Gear Series, something they planned to release. It's been too many years since the release of bloody and dark gears...but the problem was....if they released the new gear system then the existing price market for Bloody and Dark gears can only crash..trashing the previous spending of many Loyal players.
This was the dilemma NC had...
I don't know if it's a coincidence but about a year ago, I made a suggestion to NC Not to release the New gears but to introduce Enchant Safe Zones instead(just like skill enchant, once an item becomes +10 enchanted, it gets reset to +10 after failure) and allow items to go really high Over-Enchanted. I also suggested to get rid of the distinction of PvP and PvE items and combine the two, and guess what people? They have this in Japan now.
I also suggested Kelbim and Tauti Enchanting, making them stronger...
Anyways...things are not happening in the exact way that I would've liked, but they are kinda happening.
So, in a way, new Nstore items are supposed to be new updates. At least I am glad they only do this once a year...LOL I just hope they do the followups and allow those Nstore items available in the actual game later.

I too have heard of this fabled Lindvior armor, although this game is far too old now and I really don't think that will ever happen. The combination of the PvP and PvE armor is a nice touch, although rather expensive. There are 5 levels of upgrade for that armor as well. Level one adds 1% pattack per piece at level 1 or above. After that like everything else returns diminish greatly. Level 2 will get you .1% pattack so on and so forth. I don't remember off the top of my head what the cost was to upgrade it, but I know it was high. I think that is available not only in japan but South Korea as well, maybe even Taiwanese server, I don't remember.
+30 weapons might seem new to most people but if you look on youtube at some of the foreign servers there are people there running around with +27 R99 weapons. Mostly because their in game economy is stronger than our and their version of L2 store doesn't cost an average mortgage to attain something decent.
NCKorea is going to have a tough time making L2 viable in the long(er) run in the west. With NCSoft not having complete rights to the game to change whatever they want without prior approval it is going to be tough.
Regarding the new brooch system, I specifically asked them not to do it, but they did it anyways. If you look on all the other forums in all the other countries that have this there have been nothing but complaints about it. From the compound rate drop of jewels from level 1-5 being about 1 in a million chance, to the fact that you are taking the people who can spend tons of money in game and making them into **** near Gods. The jewels introduced a new "Tier" into the game. Before we had the "Elite" "Top" "Mid" and "Low" they just added "God" on top of everything else.
BTW, some of those jewels will make it 100% impossible to kill iss or healer in oly, unless you are an archer ofc.
I don't remember off the top of my head what the cost was to upgrade it, but I know it was high. I think that is available not only in japan but South Korea as well, maybe even Taiwanese server, I don't remember.
So far those combined PvE/PvP armors are only available in Japan :)
Those prices aren't as terrible as I thought, about the cost of 2-3x the original bloody/dark set. But looking at the picture on rochand for the PVE set, Those are PVE WEAPONS stones, I'm guessing that the image between NA and Japan are different because there is no way they cost weapon stones. That wouldn't even make sense for NCWest.
