I took a break from Lineage2 and got a chance to look around the new MMORPG games of the year 2017, and here is what they look like.

1. Lineage Revolution: It's a lineage game made for Mobile device released by NetMarble. They bought the Lineage game from NCsoft, so although it has the name lineage, it's not NCsoft game. NC= developer, NetMarble = publisher, basically.

It got so many problems.

1) LAG: Since it relies on Wi-fi connection mostly, the game has got serious Lag problem. You see a character hitting but you don't see the damage...Oh yeah...I almost forgot, frequent server down! LOL

2) Since your cellphone uses battery, you need to recharge the phone constantly, so basically, you need to stay close to power outlet all the time.

3) Cellphone screen is so small and because of this, you will start developing the habit of squinting your eyes as you play. It's detrimental for your eye sight. Oh...boy...and I thought playing Lineage2 on a big computer screen was bad. LOL

4) The cash shop in this game is insane. From what people tell me, it's about 5 times the money than Lineage2. Minimum $5,000 to 10,000 USD just to have normal gears to play the game. It's controlled 100% by Netmarble though, so at least there is no scamming and legit(?)

5) The game has very poor interface control. Since it's cellphone based game, a player has very limited control of the character s/he plays. It's very hard to target a single mob and use the correct skills. Often times, you meant to hit only 1 x mob but end up attacking other mobs LOL!

Because of this, the game has AUTO-HUNT PROGRAM! LOL Yes, it has a built-in auto program allowing players level without actually playing!

6) Phone bills: Besides the game expenses, if this game ever gets released in North America, the players will have to pay like $1,000-2,000 a month for the phone bill!

My thoughts? LOL DO I Really need to say more?

2. Lineage Eternal: It's another NCsoft lineage game but it looked very very much like Diablo3 to me. Diablo 3 copy??? Players can play and level multiple characters which is interesting but I don't like it. O.K. I am boxing 2-3 toons when I play Lineage2 but this is something I rather not do if I didn't have to. The game control is too simple. Only 6 skills per character +1 party skill....I think NC could've made the game a lot better but it looks like they also made this game aimed for mobile phone market, too.

Wrong thinking guys! LOL

3. Lost Ark: looks kinda similar to Lineage eternal but the game play experience is much much better. It's MMORPG game but many people have said it played like an action game! that they just enjoyed hunting and killing mobs, just punching and kicking and slashing and smashing!

The only thing is...the developer of "Lost Ark" has a history of closing down the game server service once he thought the game didn't make enough profit for him. This is something a serious MMORPG game developer should never ever do. Who's gonna trust this guy and his company when they know the game developer has a history of discontinuing game service???
Blizzard still runs Diablo2 servers btw. even if only 1 person plays, I think Blizzard will keep the server open.

4. Revelation Online: Now this is a game, NC should fear. It's Free to play at the moment but I think it will go P2W massively once the game gains enough player base.

They are all Poteito PoTato, Tomeito ToMaTo to me.

If I was a game developer, this is what I would DO

VR MMORPG!

If you want to be the top, this is what you should do.
Whoever makes 1st VR MMORPG wins ~! LOL

DROPPING A BIG HINT HERE! I know it's not just L2 players that read the forum :) I think Yidao is from Netmarble or My.com?
The lineage eternal is quite simple but watching the cbt I feel they put you in constant action and challenges to keep you interested, like the many open world auto-events that occurred during the level profession, similar to devilian, witch I could catch many similarities since I played this Last one.

The story o l2 eternal its ok, each character you get have a more in depth history that complement his motivation to be there. The main plot is interesting but its something we already know.

They 4 char system seems risk but promising, my first feeling was WTF! before i see that fits the game very well. The characters have 6 skills and more one for the all party but this isn't a problem and may help on the game dynamics, besides they have a passive skill board to enhances you characters efficiency( its quite limited though).

The game seems very fun to me and may be built that way to catch the attention of casual players. The open world pvp style of l2 is there too, but its accessible via a button or command and in certain areas in late game.

Lost Ark works give you the sensation to be part of a ongoing movie without cuts. The way they make the events unfolds in game without pop out a cut scene directly was marvelous. This game is a paradise for pve players and offers you a good history driven environment, with many content an a lot of grinding and challenging instances for you too enjoy.

They pvp it's a little disappointed, as its limited to a arena for what i see.

People say revelation online is the more close people get from lineage 2, and that are making the people i know be really exciting for this game.

But that's not a big problem for Ncsoft, since they have others franchises more successful than l2 like guild wars 2 and blade e soul.
