its like mine, my first Brooch was a Emerald, made a lv4 in 16 box, same number on diamond and i was made only lv2 :D

Yeah, If I'm being entirely honest with the help of my CP we tried 1100 rubies only to get no lv 5. The amethyst was a saving grace and the only level 5 I made this event with easily over 2,000 boxes compounded.
