Gabe here. For those that don't know who I am. I was the founder and leader of Divine/MagicR clan while we defeated KsK, Fear, Unforgiven, Final, Navigatos, etc on Shilen. Was in the Top CP in NCWest for a while.
Anyways, I'm here to start the hype train for NCWest's soon to be announced North American Classic server. So let's get **** posting. :D

Shilen server, the new server that launched with GoD. For the first 6 or so months it was the most populated and competitive Lineage 2 GoD server. Chronos and Naia filled with scripters, Shilen had some, but was mainly old school players.
Unforgiven came back with Dorm as leader. Uprising came back with Aeze as the leader. I was there leading Divine comprised of old TD, Deadly Sins. MagicR was probably one of the most disciplined Lineage 2 clans I've ever seen play Lineage 2. (Up there with ROA, Ginnunga, and TheTwelve) Four solid CPs of Romanians that knew how to play Lineage 2.
Forget L2 Classic on Nc West, its too late for this anyway, unless if they manage to make a model more profitable than god servers.
Btw for the record mine cp was the best for the 1st 4 months at least,till all e-bayed their **** off and was running with red weapons, even then, we continued pwned them and we quitted at the right time :)
No matter if u see us under MR tag, they recruited us to stop killing them too :)

dorm lead ufg? lol wtf are you smoking. skirn started ufg on shillen and lead it till it disbanded and most of its members joined fnt or the competition of fnt.
also, shillen was filled with scripts too from day 1, because the same programs existed and worked on that server.
regarding a classic server, i played eu classic. was fun till adrenaline came out and corrupt gm's killed the game.
while i miss the old l2, i would only support a classic l2 if it had the same macro system that is in the current build of the game. no one has time for that endless grinding anymore.

I remember being in your clan when GoD first released, but the name name escapes me. I just remember you were really inactive, server was full of scripts, your clan was dead in the first couple of months, then I joined fat neck tigers, for a couple weeks before quitting L2. That's all I remember about Shilien server.

Classic does indeed have the same UI and macro system as GoD. It makes grinding with dual boxed supports much easier. You can even have automatic OOP dances if you wanted to.
And yes, there are some botters, but it's no different than GoD and other retail servers.

This is false. Divine shut Imperial Warriors out of MoS and Hellbound. IW was paying Divine 50% of all adena they botted. Yes, IW had higher levels and was able to take a better castle, but we got rich off of them :D

Ya, im playing on zaken server. Come to zaken and start over, classic server probably isn't going to happen.
NA ppl arent ready for true hard core, and lest be honest if they will make a classic server like in TW or KR thats going to fail since they got PA and L2store while innova servers dont have this, NA community is too weak for such grind
Just to be transparent with everyone, I reached out to NCSoft KR and they confirmed that NCWEST will be the publisher for L2 Classic NA. I then reached out to Conguero and got this response:

This is something that we have discussed, but we have no concrete plans to share at this time. When we decide to move forward with a Classic server, we'll definitely make an announcement! ;)

GM activities? We have Neutron, and he barely does anything with these servers, let alone a classic server.
lol, i agree Neutron hit the ground running but i feel that now his participation with the community is less than that of Juji.
Especially since GC went live he rarely posts on forums let alone server activities. There are so many unanswered forum questions, you would have to be delusional to believe that there would be GM participation for a classic server.
i check forums intermittently to see if there is ever news regarding the possibility of a classic server, i know dozens of others interested as well especially ran by a branch more competent than innova. grind wont be too much, as long as there is lockdown on rmt/botting sincerely genuinely as best to their ability, will be fine

Exactly. There are some huge scandals Innova is facing currently. They could potentially lose their license for European GoD and Classic servers.
This would bring a huge influx of players for both a classic and GoD server. I know personally roughly 200 very upset players looking to jump ship to NA Classic
