If you look at my date creation of this forum account, you know i've been around but just don't post much. Let me say a few words.
Back in the days, the playing field is much leveled and in game PVE with clan activities is where you really get your gears. The strength and beauty of classics is the power is with the people of even people of low or average income, as long as you have social charisma, in game knowledge, PVP skills, or a clan leader who is dedicated, knowledgeable and can maintain a large population of diverse personalities, you are a powerful force to be reckon with.
Then somewhere in between, ********, L2 Ranger, and Z-ranger ruined the game.
As the game evolve, starting around level 98/99 era - P2W seems to emerge and becoming more bold with each iteration until the recent Kingdom Cloaks in its full wonders, even augmented items traditionally untradable is fully tradable.
In Lv.100 to 105, the power of your income earning potential in real life makes a lot of difference, whether you want to admit it or not. Much of the whining from the whining community comes from the Have Nots and in many ways, jealous with phrases, "just because you got the gears, doesn't mean...... fill in the blank...". Oh well, when did the world ever care about the Have Nots whining anyways? Eyes rolling.
Back to classics, a lot of newer players do not understand Classics because they have not fully play and PVP using the classical pvp mechanics with classical gears. There are much more diverse classes to play and today, we use Fortune Pocket 1,2,3 to blow right through level 1-61. But that's where they're missing the joy and the substance of exploring the land even at low levels 1-40, you can have immense enjoyment, without having to pay ridiculous amount of money.
Therefore, a question was asked, what's the pricing model? Open for discussion. Well, it cost money to run a server, so if the good old $15/mo. works, so be it. But you can do a promotion like, if one can prove you pay for more than 5 accounts, you get a discount or incremental discounts the more accounts you pay to support the server.
I prefer a new server with the current game, L2 Classic consumes a lot of time, i dont think the server would survive.
Better consume our $$ with the current game/new server.
New servers are always fun to play for a good period of time, then later just merge and its OK. Or if the server keep up a good population just keep it.
