Killing Makkum with ISS

Is it supposed to be impossible for an ISS to kill Makkum the boss you meet after doing the 100 days quest?

I tried killing it with my ISS geared with bossjewels, Enhanced shadow dualswords, Rose, and bloody rune. I manage to get it to 25% hp within the 7 minutes and then he either kills me or I bsoe.

How the ... is this supposed to be done with a none DD char?

I submited a ticket to support and get a crap generic answer which suggests me getting better gear, so in other words they didn't read what I wrote as usual...

You need a better gear, than what you've got.A semi-descently geared iss kills him for about 5min.

What do you consider descent gear? my hp never moves under 75% and last I checked Enhanced Shadow dualswords (That is the improved version from this update) were not bad dmgwise.

It's a lvl100 quest and my ISS is 102

I had the same problem with my ISS Dancer 101.

Eventually, I used epic jewels 7-day I had from an event, event weapon (i think it was from Red Libra), Mysterious Wind Scroll buff (the same bonus as Rose I think), +3 STR fish stew and Chef Monkey's belt and failed, but was quite close, so I asked another ISS for POM failed with Makkum's HP at 1% or so and then tried once again with another POM and finally made it.

The most important thing is to change the ability points tree to Warriors (if you have not already done so).

It is customary for a large portion of the Iss Enchanters to invest their APs in the Knights tree.

Only then will you have a greater probability of success.

I'd really have to see what the OP's gear is. My POM ISS is 101, but I admittedly have better than average OE'ed R and R95 armor and weapon, plus dyes, talismans, t-shirt, venir 14, level 3 brooch jewels, and Istina and Octavius jewels. I didn't have any problems killing it.
