Today I was able to do a mini-test fishing, bought 50 coupons from a vendor in Heine and traded for level 102 baits.
Of 50 attempts, 43 times were successful and 7 failed, the 43x gave me 0.11%, this at level 103, using normal fishing rod, not fancy rod.
So in my opinion, it's worth it,
Although I would like to read more feedback from players using fancy rods or those who are already level 105.

If there is a dumbazz on these servers that's 105 and spending money/adena on this event I'd be curious to know too. If any 105 person is spending money on xp items, you're an idiot and ruining it for those of us smart enough not to bother. This xp wall will never be removed if they notice 105 toons buying xp crap when it is a total waste.

You're delusional, there is no one 105 buying this fish bait stuff. If there is one they are ******ed, and deserve to be 106. If spending 150$ for what? like 2% is someone's thing, then by all means spend away.

Nova clan I have seen many nova players doing xp even thought they are lvl 105 like as example pepi. Every day I go to do my normal af instance this guy is there on the entrance fully boosted with xp stuff . I think you are wrong and some ppl will soon go to 106 if not 107

Sure I do instances and afk macro to xp as well, but those don't cost money. If I have vit, I use the thousands of freya scrolls I have as well from previous events, I also use Joon buff and clan buff, again I have all of this stuff already and it hasn't cost me money.

Leggings (leather) & stockings/tunic are the only things worth something in this list, the rest is trash tier. As usual, the rewards suck unless you were born lucky.
The XP makes it worth it, but the fail rate and the really crappy rewards make this not nearly as interesting as previous fish events. I'd rather have scrolls of blessing, dyes, and immortal scrolls than stews, 30 minute buff pots, limited benefit Hero XP scrolls and eternal crafting packs. I don't even need the giant's energy and R crystals. That's stuff we can get without even bothering to participate in the event. Event rewards should not have run of the mill items like that. Why not drop 14 - 30 day Boss jewels, millions in adena (instead of millions in XP scrolls), and other stuff that actually help players out?

Earth Wyrm (+ Everything else) makes this pretty much a wash cost wise, but because I travel so much for work and can't play as much as I would like, the XP was what I was mainly after and I can't complain there.
It's funny event. I made character, meet two new guys in talking village. Now that my new char is 99 and making mentor that two guys (81, 69 lvl) :D Anyway i will open boxes after I will spend all baits.
