I would like to request for the jewel conpound success rate. After spending about 300k- 400k ncoins in latest 2 brooch event and I still can't get the desired lv5 jewel. I kinda feel so stupid to invest on something that I have no idea what is the success rate and if it is obtainable.
NCW does not give out the real rates, but it should be somewhere close to this here:
Lv 1 -> Lv 2 = 55% Success
Lv 2 -> Lv 3 = 45% Success
Lv 3 -> Lv 4 = 20-25% Success
Lv 4 -> Lv 5 = 5-10%? Success
Note: Lv 4 -> Lv 5 is only a wild guess. Maybe it's even lower.
If you check Chronos section someone just spent 7times more than you and also didnt get lv.5.
Other examples with lv. 5 jewels made from less than 100 boxes exist plentyful too.
Newest: Clannie made lv5 from pre-existing lv4 and 14 new boxes.

The lvl 1 to lvl 2 rate seems to be quite a bit less than 50%.
On the other hand, a clanmate made 2 lvl 5 jewels in 250 boxes....so, who knows? :rolleyes:
The numbers can be confusing but on your 200 attempt you only lost 58 boxes because 142 are consumed by your 71 successes. Out of 129 attempts 71 went to level 2 and you only failed level 2 58 times. Which is actually about 55% success rate 71(successes)/129(total attempts).
Your 233 attempt 68 success =136 consumed for lv 2 which leaves you with 97 fails. Which is about 41.2% success rate 68(successes)/165(total attempts). With a 50% success rate both these numbers are completely reasonable.

It is very frustrating I spent over 5k USD. plus adena to purchase specific jewels from players concentrating mainly on Ruby and was not able to get to lvl 5 that being said you are better off buying it from other players, this of course is my own fault, the previous event "shining Elemental shirts a counter was in place and as they stated on the L2 website that only heroes going beyond their limits will achieve +10 shirt also have an email from CSR/GM confirming it, I assumed there would be a counter for the jewels as well.

I just want to say what happened to me. Since I'm pretty new on ncwest servers I didn't bother to make pvp jewels till now because I played mostly on core where with 110 bucks you can have 220 jewel caskets instead of 75.
That beeing said luc 61 = all pvp jewels lvl 3 on first try.
Luc 38= 16 fails in a row to get ame lvl 3.
If you don't believe me google --> lineage 2 compound jewels --> tons of proofs.
To crystal. To make a lvl 3 jewel is possible by triggering lady luc and it's almost 100% with luc 65+.
A lvl 4 is a nightmare everywhere but in here if u fail 10 times a lvl 4 you are in serious trouble speaking about $$$$$ so whoever needs a lvl 5 he has to buy it.

Fragola banned me after I posted elsewhere a toon selling a diamond lvl 5 for 125 bill in here while in there they sell it for 15 bills so cross-posting isn't welcomed as I supposed. And oh after i got banned in there the lvl 5 prices went up by 20 bills x jew although some1 can't believe you are so dumb.
I told lvl 3 is doable if you have luck 60+ - 65+ is almost 100%. Lvl 4 doesn't seem to work like that.

Btw never understood why ppl complain so Mutch about end game items and then when NC makes them easily obtainable they cry when they get 1 shoted. Lvl 2 lvl 3 and lvl 4 broonches are easily obtainable and they are not game braking items . Lvl 5 are hardly obtainable and expensive but well if you got lvl 4 and the enemy got lvl 5 you still got big chances to win the fight . And lvl 6 are game braking items but well there are a few ppl who got Sutch gear and they have spended a lot of money to get them . now to talk about other servers like core and Russians since some ppl in this post are talking about it . This servers are dying due to the fact sutch items are game braking and obviously the more You put into the game( sutch items ) the worst it will become . Nc lately is trying to reduce the huge gab between end game gear players / best gear players and medium gear players by giving the opurtunity to run around with +16 equipment ( weapons ) and broonch between lvl 4-5 . I did not spend close to that much on the event, I guess I spent Usd 300 max, and I got a level 4 Vita stone (which gives a permanent 20% Xp boost), since a lvl 5 jewel (don't remember the type) was selling yesterday for 90b O.o, maybe I should sell mine for 45b or trade it for a bloody R99 robe armor set! Any takers? U seal it btw.

For example if you try lvl 3 jewel with 37 luc 100 times will be 10-20 success
If you trty same with 65 luc will be 60-70 success

It has to be said that guy was lucky. I know irl ppl who spent in here 10k us dollars to end up with lvl 4 jewels while they can have lvl 5 jewels elsewhere for 10kkk or 500 bucks ingame on an official L2 server from other players selling em. Just post a word and I will post ss of all the normal lvl 5 jewels' prices.

While for example translating an English tv series like Game of Thrones into Italian is fairly easy, translating from Korean into English is more complicated. In everyday Korean about6 60% of the vocabulary is actually Chinese, in L2-specific Korean it's, for role-playing reasons, more like 80% (like the monks in "The Name of the Rose (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Name_of_the_Rose)" often speak Latin). And the problem with Chinese is that different ideograms are often pronounced in the same way. Korean is a phonetic letter script, like Pinyin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinyin), and you can often only decide from context whether 대인용 stands for 大人用/"for adults only" or 對人用/"PvP". In the early Chronicles all translations were done in-house, so the translators just had to walk down the corridor and ask the developers what they meant. Nowadays the translations are outsourced. The students who do this may work for a hamburger and a soft drink, but since a lot of proofreading and sending back and forth of files is involved, the whole process takes much longer.

NCWest players would be up in arms, threating the company with lawsuits, if they got such faulty patches delivered onto their computers. So the Overseas Development Department (located in Seoul) prefers to wait until things have settled down a bit and the knots have been worked out of the system. This is not a bad thing. Especially in the case of the Tank Unification we are benefitting from the negative feedback that Korean players delivered after the first PTS version.
- And last but not least, there is the simplification. With each patch that gets sent over from Korea there is the possibility of new bugs being imported. That's precisely the point: "how many words". Apart from the obvious fact that HBO has more money available than NCsoft with the measly 250 million dollars they make per fiscal quarter, the difference is in the text category. Novels or movie scripts are much easier to translate than short sentences taken out of context. And translating patch notes is even more of a problem. It took several tests by Aram and mathematics by Nadmaster until we had figured out that as of the latest update Spirit of Shilen works on a Retributer with normal hits, but not with skills like Frenzy etc. (probably not even the developers have realized what they have unleashed with their recategorization of weapons).

For example if you try lvl 3 jewel with 37 luc 100 times will be 10-20 success
If you trty same with 65 luc will be 60-70 success

well I'm sure they will throw in a Red Libra soon to allow all Tyrs/Wyns to change their useless Retributers to Slasher or some other weapon and I guess those could try find some very high oe old 2H Fighters Blunts to try with that instead..

I say sure, luc can affect combines. I say it also affects your exp, pdef, and drop rate. Why not. It can also proc random fireballs while riding a dragon.
Setting aside, for this post, the fact that these items should be removed from game or added to game (similar to Russian servers).
Now, logically, if you are getting anywhere near 100% on making lvl 3 jewels, with 60+ luc, you would see pages of lvl 4's for sale on AH, let alone pages of lvl 3's. It would be easy, anyone can get to 60 luc.
I would also like to ask how it is I failed over 20x in a row attempting to make a lvl 3 with 72 luc? This would run counter to Crystals ever inspiring scientific break down or how he/she felt the odds were better with more luc.

The most informed people that post on these forums are telling you things, backed by official tests, responses, charts, and test. By all means, make your informed opinions off of how you felt it went for you at some point.

Believe what u want. To get 6 pvp jewels lvl 5 i spent like 200 us dollars.
On here it will cost me like 5.000 us dollars but at least i won't broke lvl 3 jewels anymore.

Why will you see pages of lvl 3 jewels in ah if its success rate with high luc is 50-60%?!
You say that lvl 3 jewel has 50% chance and luc not work, i say that low luck = 17% - 20% high luc = 50%
What difference?! Why should we see pages of them?!
Game is dead, Peoples who buy many jewels are few, peoples with high luc even less, those who have will better sell lvl 4 or 5 part by part with high price rather than throw all their lvl 3!!
Or melt them to get another lvl 3 and try lvl 4 or 5 or 6
Between high luc give high effect only till 3 lol
lvl 4 is still pain and lvl 5 is sparta!
lvl 4 even with high luc will be around 15-20% (with low luc 3%)
