My name was sniped and upon merging into Zaken I am not able to use my name.

I petitioned and GM Andrew replied with:
"I've double checked our records for the name and it appears to be held by an active account, however, this owner transferred his character from Zaken to a different server which makes the name no longer usable by any player in the game. "

Yet again this GM is unable to provide remotely intelligent customer service.

This is actually correct, when a character transfers the old name is permanently locked and we cannot release it back manually with any of our tools. This would result in the same effect as a name conflict during a server merge, so it may appear as a name snipe, but it's just the name being reserved the same as it was before due to a server transfer.

GM Andrew is referring to a transfer on Zaken, which was not and is not even possible.

Further, if I can prove ownership of the name on Chronos, can you give it back?

No it has nothing to do with ownership or verifying it further. There is simply a character name reservation system build into the game for characters that server transfer.

Here's basically what happened:
1.) Character "A" started on Chronos
2.) Character "A" server transferred to a different server.
3.) Character "A" name is now blocked on Chronos.
4.) Character "A" created on Zaken
5.) Zaken and Chronos merge occurs
6.) Character "A" is still blocked on Chronos the same as it was before.

Yea that shouldn't be an issue, a name can be changed just not to one that is blocked by the game itself. Just update your ticket and ask for a different name, if the new name is available it can be changed.

I see THT(born in hell) iTrufle etc new nick name it's mean someone else use you nick name this trolls create characters with zaken players names this is why you have one time free nick name change
