How can anyone keep up with the cost of playing this?? Cloaks that cost anywhere from 300 too 800 bucks to compete? lol Its been 500 bucks per event if you want to compete at all.. I think its why most people either are 100% Pve, or threw their hands up and quit..
Even the people that are spending 5k, 10k, 15k+... WILL run out of money at some point... its a real shame.. They can merge the servers all they want as they empty.. this too has ran out..

I've went totally pve last 12 months or so. NC has to pay you to pvp in this pseudo-pvp environment, full of randoms that compete only through the L2Store. There is no challenge to this, nor any sense whatsoever.
I really think that anyone who still tries to PvP in this game, is a pure lamer, that never actually played L2, let alone been good at it.
PVP is the only reason to play this game lol. Ive maybe spent $3000 over the past 2 years. doing my regular job, I can only buy into a poker game 3 times ($1000 a buy-in) for that. So needless to say, thats not a lot of money monthly for me.
I built up a large % of my gear from farming zaken server, it was pretty cheap and beneficial.
I have a +15 cloak from this event and it cost me $0. I just sold a boss jewel or two that i got from farming for free, replaced em with dirt cheap 30-day pack rare packs, so then id have adena to do it.
Even though I COULD spend a lot on this game, i choose not too, because i can do it for free.

you are seriously missing out by avoiding pvp in this game, finding a proper pvp CP and playing.
NCsoft this should be sorry when it did not fight third party programs at the beginning of everything, let's look at:

What would be my suggestion:
1 - Making the Boss, Valaskas, Antharas, Lindvior and others in instance zone, this would increase the supply of jewelry, would force the price to fall, give other clans opportunity and others could have access to the Boss, therefore becoming Instance Zone, the dominant Clan of each server would not have the monopoly, because nowadays, which clan manages to beat in them and to obtain respown of the Boss? It would be a cool way, as it is today, there is no longer even PVP to play for Boss, so simply turn into Instance Zone.
2 - It is forbidden for clan to have more than one castle, and frankly, it is like Ncsoft to know if that clan is free or only a support clan of some other clan that takes advantage of being well equipped and take all the castles, protect and put the clan leader support, which is neither active in the game and making it owner, so Ncsoft after Siege, observes if there is exchange of items or if there is no means, GM keep an eye if the dominant clan of that server is attacking everyone in other castles.
