Hurricane Evacuation and Fishing

General Discussion Started Last reply 3 posts
So I live in FL and I am currently in the process of packing due to the hurricane currently set to destroy my area with a vengeance, I wanted to take some time real fast to to make this post, as it may very well be my last post in a long while depending on how the next few days go.
So you claim (claim being the key word) that the 4 fish = 3 powder ratio was never intended. Lets just say for one second I give myself a catastrophic concussion every morning as soon as I wake up, and actually believe that.

Currently there is no way to passively or actively generate adena in this game due to the extreme drop nerfs that have taken place, as well as ******** like this. I freely admit I spend money on NCoin for things but without fishing, its not even feasible to NCoin anything because I have no supplemental income from anywhere.
I cant even safely play the market, because at any time, with literally no warning you can drop an event that completely tanks any number of item/items value, causing me to lose a ******* ton of money, which has happened to me.
Currently the only reasonable way to make adena is through the ingame store, and I can tell you this. Taking away the ******* crumbs of food from our mouths isnt going to cause anyone to spend anymore than they already were, actually things like this will cause you to lose player base, Im assuming thats what you want.
Its the only thing that makes sense; bilk the players for all their worth as fast as possible, then shut the game down and take the staff and reassign them to other games.
Am I wrong? Don't tell me I am. Show me.
Fix the drop rates.
Create some sort of effective system in game where you can maybe not get rich quick, but where the average player and the big spender alike can leverage the game to actually get gear and enjoy the content in the game.
At this point if you maintain banning players who use bot programs, and re-establish much higher adena/item drop from mobs and raid bosses, making them worthwhile (Hell, maybe you could adjust the level of the bosses all to 103~ so 90% of the player base can do them and actually have a ******* hope to get drops). Maybe im a ******* imbecile, and theres a hidden game mechanic 99.9999% of players have just completely missed, and if so please by all means enlighten us.

TL;DR
This change is so bad I stopped mid hurricane evacuation to make sure I tell you about it NCWest.

If your going to pull the "never intended" ******* card, the game was "never intended" to have the drops and adena currently so ******.
How about you lobby to fix that?

Very well said. Stay safe, Infami. My prayers are with everyone in Irma's path.
The NCWest argument about not wanting an influx of adena is making me scratch my head. All games have currency inflation. This game primarily got theirs from poor botting enforcement, and now all that botted adena is trading furiously at the top. There are no quests that award adena at an acceptable rate, so fishing seemed to be about the best way possible.

It was about 250m a week with a fancy fishing rod. That's abysmal compared to the cost nstore items go for. One fisher going for a year could generate 13-15b. Is that really breaking the economy?

The only way the system takes a large sum of currency out of the economy is through system auctions. If more items could be listed on the auction house, and the 10 item limit was removed, the auction-house cuts could actually take out a significant portion of adena, too.

But you gotta fiction the 10 item auction house limit first (remove it!)

World of Warcraft has a strong economy that hasn't broken the game. Daily quests award significant amounts of gold each day. A prolific gold farmer in WoW can sleep their way to 5,000g a day. A person can generate gold for themselves by selling game time. This could work for Lineage 2, just swapping out ncoin for game time. https://wowtoken.info/

US realms sell $20 tokens for 153,038g (that amount of gold is $25 on the black market).

So that'd be the equivalent of around 1,800,000,000 adena for a 1600 NCoin token.

Lets bring this back around to that 5000 gold per day (about 2 hours of work). Would be the equivalent of about 60m adena. Is there anywhere in game where you can earn, reliably, and without ridiculous amounts of gear, 60m adena?

There isn't. Fishing doesn't even come close. It wasn't breaking the economy. Other games can make it work just fine. Why is it that Lineage 2 is not immune to out-of-control prices.

It comes down to how much it costs to get something through the NStore. Our prices are hyper-inflated. This isn't an adena issue, it's an NCoin issue.
