The economy is in disarray since the fishing nerf, so prices are all over the place. Some people are trying to buy +12 Dark/Bloody R99 Ful Ele 3SA Weapons far below their production cost.
There were some very low prices on these weapons during the past event and after the fishing nerf, but as waters return to their level, I am still trying to wrap my head around what is a fair cost for a weapon like that.
The purpose of this thread is to discuss those production costs for someone who "buys" the majority of the materials, now keep in mind that some of this you can "make" by yourself and not "buy", but I am not considering those because the time to "make" is also worth something, I don't believe someone spends time and hard work "making" something just to give it away at an extremely low price, so let's stick to the "buy prices" please:
(Please note prices are based on the Chronos Server)
Weapon R99 clean: 400m
+150 Element Crystal: 60m
35 Element crystals @ 8m/each: 280m (includes some extras for the fail rate)
Subtotal = 740m
Enchant Value (no outside aids like Maphr, stones, cards, etc.. and assuming you are lucky, this is clearly undervalued it's truly a lot more)
EWR 20 @ 7m each = 140m
GEWR 10 @ 32m each = 320m
BEWR 35 @ 75m each = 2.625b
Subtotal = 3.085b
Here comes the tricky part, adding 3 SA's and the Dark/Bloody attribute is very costly:
Blessing for Safe upgrade to Bloody/Dark = 4b
Dark Amaranthine Stone = 4b
360 EoD @ 5m x 20 Pcs = 90m
180 Ge's @ 5.5m/ea = 990m
3,198 Gemstone R @ 1.2m/ea = 3.83b
38,378 R Crystals @ 13.5k/ea = 518m
Subtotal = 13.428b
Grand Total = 34b to make (rounded number), now with this and a fair profit, (I would say 20%), the sell price should be around 41b minimum, (again rounded number). Considering there are plenty of risks, (for example the enchanting could easily go to 3x the cost just by using some aids or by plain bad luck) and that some costs are dictated by the game itself (for example the Gemstone R cost is the lowest it can be at 1.2m buying in Giran (no tax) from Mammon), this does not seem farfetched.
What am I overlooking or could be look at differently?; Is the consensus that selling below that price line (41b) means "loosing money" or not being properly rewarded for the risk?; is any weapon below that price line a good purchase (ofc the lower the better)?.
problem is that due to current state of game lots of players quit and cash out aka willing to take a loss on their items and thus sell below the items production cost which results in market price crash as we see it these days ingame..
arguments on it cost me X amount to make said item doesn't mean anything if cheapest on market for sale item is below that price.. you either accept the hard reality and take your loss or hope the market will recover eventually if ever that is..
simple example it cost me almost 200bil to make a +15 PVE Elmore cloak with +15% p crit damage augments and yesterday 1 identical was sold on market for 125bil, now for me the cost was worth it and I don't intend to sell mine but say if I wanted then that would have meant a loss of 75bil..
You're missing a big part as of how much it costs to make that. I've almost bought dark dual daggers with 7st SAs + Sigel for 34b (+12).
Prices will come down even more soon, since the Adena are being drained fast from the servers. On Freya most of the stuff is already down by 20%.
Also you're expecting "profit", where you shouldn't.Dark weapon +12 3SA is not ppl smth that buy everyday. Most of the times these are sold at a loss for the seller.

Your number seems fairly decent at mid 30b for craft. I would like to know your OE method for more accuracy.

There are a few things you are overlooking.
1. Ideally, you wouldn't be buying the SA crystals. These drop from raids done regularly by good clans, and should be obtainable for less than market prices.
2. You should not exclude the extras, especially the maphyr shirt. One would be foolish to OE without this and good LUC. It literally increased you base rate by a flat 10%. (For armor, witch starts at 50% base, raising it to 60%, is a 20% increase OF the base value)
3. If you play promos at all (by making a +7 Maphyr shirt you will have had to), and have a prestige pack up, you should have enough hero coin to get at least 1 AEWR. This can reduce the adena cost.

This is important. If you went through the trouble to SA it and Dark it, you did that to use it, not to profit on it as these are not profitable enhancements. The Gem cost for the second SA alone is super prohibitive to a decent RoI.

I can get my Luc above 70 as I have tattoos and other Luc giving items. Normally I include a +3 Luc Fish Stew and that's enough to get to the above 70 plateau.
Unfortunately I don't own (yet) a Maphyr shirt, I missed the point of having one in the last shirt event as it was going on, when I was just returning to the game so my focus was on more vital items at that time.
I also use free mentee enchant stones and Maphr potions (15s) when +8 and above, Other than that I usually combine the item saving stones with the BEWR (that stone cost is not factored here though but is normally no more than 1-2b)

I think this is the key point to it, I do expect profit because I think the item is valuable enough to receive compensation for the effort in making it, however I see your point and I guess this is where most people are. So this changes my own PoV a little and I would have to agree with you, making such weapons is to keep them which is what I will do from now on.
I was holding on to a +12 Dark Dualsword 3SA Full Ele for a long time in hope of selling it at a regular price, having no chance to do so in the current market, I traded it for a +8 Dark Full Ele Eternal LA Set that I wanted by adding some adena. All in all I think it was a fair trade for both sides.
