Sometimes gambling is necessary, that's the most exciting thing about L2 - the milliseconds when your mind is in suspense, guessing the outcome.
In short this is called: Addiction :)
If only there was a confirmation of success rates, and assurance that they weren't manipulated to provoke more whaling of customers. Forget Battlefront, games like L2 are going to bring gambling commissions into video gaming.
I would have said unfortunately correct, but then I remembered that in real life you can choose between hard work and gambling, but in L2 no amount of hard work will get you 100% compound success rate, or the ability to buy any amount of pre-compounded/enchanted items.
So if gambling is not just one of the options, but literally the only one… it's just not an addiction here. Just doing what you must to move forward.
