Funny thing is that Stabby is a secondary... uh third, character that I play. She's only level 18 (my others are 32 and 27). Stabby gets "hand me downs" from my main. Maybe I can do a comic about that.

Now that they have the Freight system in place I pass gold and equipment between characters constantly. That's why my characters are always broke! :)

In order to see Stabby with the big head, you have to enter the "Big Head Code" (not officially announced by NCSoft yet). It's: up, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, START!

You don't go purple kicking him in the ****. It's kinda like the people around town wailing on the pet food sellers with their Chrono Cithartha (spelling).

I remember seeing a Korean comic that had the "slightly less" SD look in it that was pretty cool (painted/colored nice as well). Is that the style you are going for? Remember, the style it is created in will either hinder or help your comics (imagine a serious story with my goofy SD style, the art would be distracting to the "seriousness" going on). That's why most newspaper comics have goofy looking characters to match the humour.
As far as stories go, just make a comic of something funny that you have seen in L2. Alot of my earlier comics were just me poking fun at the issues going on in L2. A lot of people were saying that my comics should be official comics but the humor (and me making fun of the issues with L2) will probably ever keep that from happening. Notice how in my postings of the comics, not one GM has ever posted to say anything about them?
Also, think of your format. Can you tell your jokes in a couple panels or does it take a full page (or more). All of mine are the typical 4 panel layouts common with Japanese short comics. I have a couple full paged ones that I am planning on doing but just need to wait till Stabby matures in level to match what's going on (don't want her hunting Dark Knights while she's only 22 in game). I just need to level her up a bit more...
Well when I think about it more and more, I would really like to do a serious comic about the events that occur (or haven't yet occurred in L2) maybe a more fictional or fan-fictional depiction on the events that take place in Aden. Though humor is a strong suit of mine, I do like serious epics as well. But when you think of the work that needs to be done to create a successful serious comic then you have to sit and wonder whether it's worth it. Humourous comics usually use neat, tidy, clean and simplistic drawings rather than fully detailed backgrounds, characters and objects and it seems as if it's easier to accomplish than a serious comic. What would you suggest?
Also, seeing as there are a bunch of comical ones out there, including yours, it would seem as if I were copying those and I'd like to do something a bit more original. Just wondering how you put yours together, pencil drawings then scan them in and digitally ink them or do you do it all on paper and then scan?
I would recommend going with whatever you feel best at (yeah, typical "Do what makes you happy" response). I always thought it would be cool to do a "serious" story, but I don't know too much about the game other than what I experience when I play it. I don't know much of the history of Aden to come up with something interesting to go off of.

I did win first place for it. I like how Stabby came out but deteste the background and type. It took so long for me to color Stabby in that I was down to the wire to finish it and skimped on the BG. I have a couple more pics that I want to color in this style (Light elf and an Orc).
When I work on my comics, I have some Japanese comic paper that I draw them on. I pencil and ink them in on the same sheet, then scan it straight into Photoshop. I adjust the image there then do the lettering in Illustrator. I finish the whole thing in PS.

I was playing around with Stabby in AC after she turned 22. Remember that comic I did in which Stabby is running from the Mahums and gets stuck on the branch? Well... there I was hunting Mahums when I see some money sitting there next to a Mahum Captain nest. I run up to grab the money, but get STUCK in spot! ARGH! Right when I try and use an escape scroll... a Captain senses me and ganks me. Sigh... back to 21 I go. :(
As for the armor, she will get new stuff soon! Probably after I finish off the adventures in LEV. Give her a couple strips to go. Besides... I kinda like the Piece Bone set. I think it looks cool.
Now... if anyone has any weapons and armor they don't need on Lionna, Stabby would be more than happy to accept them. :) (ok... stop begging)

As for putting people in the comic, I might put people in and just change the name up a bit. The only person I have really put in the comic that I have met in the game is Thrayne (he's a friend of mine from work). Vallhalla made a guest appearance since she is my main. My DE Wiz and Human will show up eventually as well.
I'm just afraid that if I ever sell the comics, someone might demand a cut because their character shows up. I'm paranoid! :p

I was wondering about putting them together in a little booklet and selling them at cons. NCSoft had a booth at San Diego Comic Con this year and they had artists that did work on the CoH comic and other CoH projects there signing things. When I saw that, I was thinking it would be cool to sit there at their booth next year pimping my L2 comic. Way I see it, you can walk through any artist alley/show at any con and there are licensed picture for sale of licensed characters. Ever been to an anime con? That's all there is in the art shows!

I think it's funny how episode #13 is the Halloween episode! I finished toning and lettering this episode in one setting tonight and kept me from my valuable grinding time in game. :) Enjoy!

The joke is that Stabby's god (or person that has been playing her in the game) has been playing another character. Therefore, she's been sitting there doing nothing while the other character gets all the attention (which is what happened to Stabby in game; I didn't play her for a couple months). When she finds out, she gets all jealous and upset.
I know that movie. It's Real Genius with Val Kilmer. They put the radio transmitter/reciever in the guys braces and then tell him that they are "Jesus" talking to him. LOL. In that scene they say " (guys name), Have you been touching yourself?"

It might be a few weeks before I get the next round of comics out. I'm working on a submission for Tokyo Pop and I need to concentrate on that for a bit. Soon as I get that done, I'm thinking of doing a full fledged Stabby comic (done serious).

IPFreely was a name I made up. At the time that comic was made, there were many server issues and people had problems with their IPs.
The comic was based off an actual conversation way back when. Of course Stabby didn't go red. I couldn't find the guy that said that.
lol I just started playing a month ago. And I love the stabby comics. :) Reminds me so much of the game. I'm a LE(or as I like to call 'em water elf) but I play with mostly DE. I agree LE are ditzy... my LE has a knack for aquring trains... even when travling on road. The mobs love her lol. And she always has trouble trying to figure out what acryonms mean. Shame she's on Gustin her and Stabby might get along. lol
Keep the comics coming. And good luck with the Tokyo Pop submission. There not my favorite ppl but they do bring in a lot of stuff...and if it get stuff published that's good to.

mainly dwarfs because dwarfs kick *** and that's all i pretty much know how to play very well so far was my first char and they're simple and buff ok laters:)
I have an idea for introducing some dwarf girls but they end up being rip off jokes of Chiyo-chan from Azumanga-Daioh.
I think I put a dwarf in the strips in which Stabby gets ganked when she went red and the strip that has Vallhalla running through town with her sword out (minor appearances).
Do it rich it would be awesome because all my dwarfs are female and they have close to the same name if u would like to use my name go ahead i won't ask for any money or nothin it'd just be cool to be a cartoon character and i think it'd be cool to have a char meet stabbymcstoo that would be pro :D

Theye are actually from fans ideas this time around. They had a big "What should Stabby do next thread" going on for a while during the summer. A couple good ideas popped up before it got deleted due to people getting carried away with sexual inuendos. Actually, there were a couple threads about Stabby and they all seemed to get deleted. lol! People just can't control themselves!
Anyways, I took a couple of their ideas and applied them. Too bad one of the people that came up with the idea doesn't play anymore. What was her name? Kirianna? The roleplay girl...

Yes she did and untill they remove GG she said she wont be coming back.
Every since they put GG in I have seen the number of people decrease big time. No one is hardly playing anymore because of this and yes these are legit players.
grrrr....GG has been messin with some of my elven friends computers, takes up too much space so now it dosent work for some of us, so some of them spent hundreds of dollars on new parts for their computer just to fit GG in.....how come bad things always happen to us light elves? we are a deffinant minority indeed....we anyways, Teon still rocks, light elves still rule, and no matter what u say, Richmans comics Owns All. :)

I have been having issues with my ISP because "I ran out of space". The guy I get my website through also got me .net and .org as well as my .com site that I am using. I contacted him in January asking to get access to the other sites (.net/.org) so I can post my Stabby comics there as well as use them for my Ebay hosting so I can free up my main .com site and have space to update that. On Wednesday, I called him up asking how it was going, to see if he had things allocated or not. He said "Oh yeah, I still need to do that!"
UGH! As soon as the ISP thing is taken care of, I can then update my site and set up a nice home for Stabby. Until then if you want to show Stabby to your friends, just save them on CD or something. :(
I wish I could, at least, update/edit the first post in this thread so I can put them all in there. That would make it all easier.

This is one that I came up with after a bunch of people started a "What should Stabby do next?" thread (before it got deleated because of people's sick little minds). Karashanna came up with an idea of Stabby getting Wind Walk and this little event just popped into my head. I hope she's out there to read it.
I have part 2 penciled and inked and should get that one up next week.
I can't seem to find the humorous side to this comic, which would be continuitous with the series thus far; well done on the drawings, and the idea. Looking forward to the next. :)

Then things went bad and everyone died... except me when I SOEd out. I feel bad for doing that but I didn't want to loose the EXP that I made. When all the monsters appeared and everyone started running around, I fought off what I could then decided to bail when I noticed it was only me and one other left alive.

Not too long ago, my friends and I were in Sea of Spores. I was there on a clan hunt as a prospect for the clan. I think I was level 18 or so at the time.
We're running around beating down pretty much everything that spawns around us, when suddenly we hear the crashing of Orfen and her lackeys.
As Orfen starts to one-shot the higher levels of the group, I pop an SoE and start to pray. Sure enough, just as she comes running my way, I finish the casting.
Never overlook the advantages of a 'tactical retreat'.
