That is SO true. I've been musing about this kind of thread for a long time... I've held back mostly because they (NC) are VERY sensitive about the personnal information of their customers.
However, as a community builds up, people tend to want to put a face on a name, i think it's just normal. Based on the fact you submit a picture on a voluntary basis, it's quite alright.
Many popular boards have a "picture album" section with this kind of thread in it.
So where is the **** picture of Darkmotion. Well, it's a picture of Dogmotion AND Darkmotion (you have to figure out who is who).
I think it's that doggie that plays Lin2 and writes on this forum. This guy holding him does not have that evil look in his eyes. Yes, it's got to be like this. Definately.
Once upon a time I made the mistake of posting one of my pictures in a thread like this. Unfortunately I learned the hard way that it's not the same for female gamers as it is for male. I wish it weren't that way, but sadly there are a lot of people who can make life miserable in game and outside it.
So..you're just going to have to wonder about Jute. :)

One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. And there comes the funny part. You go all hysterical, remove the picture (but not the link) and try to hit me back with a small time comment about Disneyland... ROFL did you actually look at my picture for more than 2 seconds ?

People are showing a lot of trust when they choose to share their real-world information with an online community, especially facts about their appearance. Please show your fellow community members the level of respect appropriate for the compliment they are paying you by trusting you with the knowledge of their appearance.
Failure to do so will result in the closure of this thread and the most severe penalties against the perpatrator. If this goes ill, we may see the addition of another "Removable Topic" to the list, and I'd hate for that to have to happen.
So far, I don't believe anyone here has had malicious intentions, but let's go the extra mile in this thread for our fellow players.

I also use it to herd threads. Notice how nice i have been here. I agree with you Ash about the favor each person is making in submitting a picture of himself, but i figure you shouldn't push it too hard anyways, as whenever you step out of your door, you submit your "pic" to anyone in sight of you. The picture in question will never be reposted here :P However, I can describe it :P It was my face really close to the camera, with my tongue out, however you could see my shoulders, but not the straps of my tank top. Oh, and Tillus where did you go snowboarding at?? That looks like so much fun! I have been cross country skiing before (never downhill cause that's almost certain death for me...not very good with my balance), but I have always wanted to try snowboarding cause it looks like it is sooo much fun and falling doesn't seem like it would be as bad as say, getting your legs all tangled up and falling on your butt and rolling down a hill.
(I was duped into taking a windy, steep hill on cross country skis! :mad:)

What cracks me up the most is how this game is HIGHLY suggestive in the sexual departement, yet they moderate speaking of things they SHOW !
I also agree about the PA comment. Man, I wouldn't let ANY kind of sharp or pointy instrument in that general area. My cousin has a percing/tattoo shop and REFUSES to do them. He says you can easily fill a surgical glove with blood after this kind of a peircing.

Okay, true story...
I was waiting to get a tattoo (1 and only). The artist was working on cleaning his gear. A guy walks in and says that he as a PA and is looking for a larger "appliance" for it. He is shown several different larger gauge items. He then asks how much to insert them. The tattoo guy points to a gal in the corner of the shop and says "she does the piercings, ask her."
So, he asks and she says "we don't charge for inserting but for that, I expect one hell of a tip!" (the dude looked a little creepy anyway). The guy gets nothing and leaves. After he leaves, we all bust out laughing.
