I’m happy to introduce a few new staff members on the Lineage II Team! Marissa “Moxie” McWaters has joined the team as our new Assistant Producer. Marissa began at NCsoft over three years ago in the Account Support department, then moved to the Lineage II QA Team where she has worked since 2007. She has a great understanding of the game and has participated in the launch of several of our updates. We’re also welcoming Rob “Aramis” Simpson as the new Game Support Team Lead. Rob has been with NCsoft for over five years and has extensive experience as a Game Support Team Lead. He has led teams for City of Heroes, Tabula Rasa, and is now taking on the role with Lineage II. He is a valuable addition to our Game Support Team with his experience and understanding of Game Support.
We are sad to see Chris “Kinslon” Hager and Charles “Spam” Porter leaving our team, but they are moving on to other projects within the company where we know they will excel. Thank you both for your tremendous support of Lineage II over the years and we wish you all the best!

Hi everyone! :D I know my name is not familiar to you all, as I haven't participated in forum discussions. I have actually been a regular reader for quite awhile, so I feel like I know a lot of you. Good luck Spam, I wondered how you did it as long as you did. It's a nasty job where no matter how much good you do, people will always only see the bad that still remains. No matter how hard you work, no one notices or cares.

So do we blame the missing "c" on kinson or the new guy? Will this new community coordinator, or whatever you are calling that revolving position, make it up to us? Should we expect anything from these new staff changes besides some initial intense forum moderation or is it free reign to bot now that the one person who actually cared is now working on a game that isn't going to be out for another 5 months?
If your reply is going to be along the lines of "updated" website and community links like the last 4 guys, don't even bother...
Having seen the intensity that this forum is capable of (I know I'm guilty of it at least a few times), I wish you both luck.
Aramis, I am sure you know this is nothing quite like City of Heroes or Tabula Rasa, and so I hope you are strong and diligent in your efforts, both in-game and behind the scenes.
Moxie, seeing that you've come from account support and QA, I can only hope you are willing to bring change to the sometimes difficult process of getting support.
I wish you both luck and hope to see you both enforcing and improving policy.
Oh, and who's leg do I have to hump to get the drop info distributed to fansites so we can put those shady sites out of business?
And Moxie, if you keep posting like you have today I think people will feel genuinely connected with whats going on in the unknown, strange world of L2 administration. I honestly believe a lot of the moaning on the forum is due to a lack of direct communication from the L2 team, and I hope this is due to change as it looks tonight.
Welcome new L2 Team members! We are glad to hear that we got some new gms here to take finally some care on this forum which went a bit out of control already. I hope you also will take care about bots like gm spam did ;)

Just wanted to drop in and say I had a great time with all of you (even those constant harasser/****** folks). The one thing that I really love about this community is that ya'll get fired up. It shows you have a passion for this game and that really inspires us to continue to work hard for you. Just take it easy on Moxie, Omega, Aramas and the rest of the Lineage II guys, because we are here for you all.
And I am also excited because I've been privy to the great plans Omega and the rest of the staff have in store for Lineage II. You are really lucky to have a team that is excited about their product and I think it has already shown with what has been done in the past 6 months, and what will be shown in the next 6 months.

For the new staff... you have a really demanding community, and pretty active too... Just try to be close to ppl in this forum, I'm sure you will do your best to deal with game issues. Most of players here want 2 things: Fair game and Good service. Just don't forget about that ^^

They haven't left the company, only Lineage II... and it's probably another one of NC's re-structuring efforts. I know they're trying to fill the Seattle office, but hey.. I only read the press releases.

A question to the new gms: Is it possible that we soon get a new web page? with recent and up-to-date info? newer style and organization? This would represent the game much better in the first place. Also because many info isnt up-to-date or doesnt exist..which is very bad and not professional.

The new moderation of the boards today has been good but I hope that this good moderation is mirrored in game and that the rules are inforced there as well as they have been enforced here this morning.
I would offer you new guys good luck but I don't think that you need luck . . . you just need to be allowed to do your job.
I wish the best to GMSpam. We are going to miss you because you were one of the very few that was always very active on replies with people from the forum.

From helping me complete the bugged artisan class change quest back in Prelude to responding to my rant about SoC getting level 5 clan first in NA despite our completing the quest and opening petitions before them, to hanging out at AGC after I founded Lineage 2 Stratics, its been fun times :) And I get to say so because its the 5 year anniversary so my account is active! GL in your new duties Spam, thanks for all you did to clean the game of bots and for your interest about our problems. For the first time after playing for 3 years I had the feeling that someone was caring about these issues. I hope that other people of the GMs team will keep working intensively to secure a healthy and fair game environment for us.

In your example, the element of an offence (civil wrong) is missing. There is no law to forbid ppl eating ketchup on steak (in EU at least), but there is a rule in the game to forbid ppl using 3rd party progs... so your example doesn't apply...
Except the laws of good taste. Covering up the taste of a perfectly good steak with ketchup ought to be a beating offense. That and covering them with whatever sauces (I'm looking at you, French people!).:mad:
