I read this forum and can't help but wonder, why there's so much negative posts about current event? Realy, is it so bad? Cos i realy can't see a single bad thing about this event. It's realy great! C'mon ppl, don't say that you don't enjoy free fireworks, free shadow accesoires, enchants and even greater stuff for those who are willing to go all the way to +14 and up?? I think this event is just absolutely perfect! Yogi's scrolls are easy to get, drop rate from mobs aren't that bad and you can even buy 24 aditional scrolls every 6 hours! So what's wrong? Pls, don't say you're upset just becouse you set your hopes too high, like for theese s80 stuff, which is kinda like this event's jackpot? Realy, ppl, just be more realistic! Don't expect to get top stuff that easily! It would be no fun:) And what's wrong with theese fireworks and shadow accesoires? Both things are fun and important thing that they're absolutely free and easy to get! So just don't be too greedy. If you want better stuff - be prepared for failures. It's natural. And if you don't like failures, then why even try? So just try to see more positive things about this event and enjoy it while it last, ok?:)
How was this event even remotley fun..sitting there for 4 - 5 hours clicking scroll, dragging staff, watching the animation. So much fun. Like I said in other posts, this event could have been good if the rewards for 14- weren't complete garbage.

yeah i had soooo much fun i didnt know what to do with myself...OH WAIT! Freaking buff potions would have been better rewards than what we had for 1-14
You don't have to try too hard! If you don't want to play for 4-5 hours with enchanting - no one's forcing you! You just play as much as you like:) And if you think you have too much scrolls, then why just don't share it with other ppl?:)

Now repeat that for 4200 scrolls worth of clickety click click click rxcept the EWS part since it only happened once. Ya what an event Hopefully they will retire this event since we all know every time they recycle and event the rewards are less and less.
Who in thier right mind would creat an event and put all the rewards worth anything out of reach of 99% of the player base. Atleast other events that had crappy rewards didnt leave it up the the player to give themselves crappy rewards.

i did enjoy watching my coin flip RNG goodness fail just as i always do when i blow a few hours worth of xp on a skill enchant or a multi hundred million adena craft but for some reason i found myself compelled to push past the shadow roleplay crap rewards and lowbie enchants for something my toon could actually use

I mean it’s not enough that we fail all the time in crafts (60%? Give me a break)
Now we have this event to show us how it feels to fail at +4. its like a message from above
“don’t overenchant your weapon, you’ll fail! Didn’t you see how it goes with the event? Leave the oe to ppl/companies with have no worries about losing 4-5 drac to get a +5. You’ll let them do the breaking/crystallize and then you buy your oe weapon!”
This event was a gift I am telling you! Making you go crazy as you fail at +4 or +5 like 5 times in a row, and then letting you go to +11 getting your heart beating faster, making your mind thing that you have a chance for a high reward and then breaking it again.
Plus you have the wonderful lag from all those beautiful fireworks/farts going on!!!

+1 on the idea. Much more user-friendly and no mangled and sored fingers!
But, overall, the event wasn´t that bad, at least i won a tateosian...:p
counting the 6 mi i made selling scrolls at the first 2 days of event + the 10 mi i saved with the rest of the Tateo jelws i got cheaper, it was not a bad event. But sucked hard to burn 1k scrolls and get 1 +15 that blowed up.
FOR the OP, next time you want fireworks pm me, i have at least 200 from old events...
I was never expecting in get a s80, but there are lots of good things that could set to replace the +12 +13 +14 prizes that could be usefull for players.
Untradeable acessories/life stones are consolation prizes could be well setted at +9+10.
Event was pretty good. You wouldn't have to click so much if you put your scrolls on your hot bar. Hit the hot bar, drag weapon, click ok. Allows you to enchant fairly quick.

No, i'm not new here. I play since Interlude and so far there was only one event i didn't liked - Altered Realities.:p But current event was realy good! It was all about your desires, your luck and how much time you were wiling to spend enchanting. And i believe all theese unhapy ppl who says they don't like this event, was just too greedy, but without luck... :( But i personaly enjoyed this event. My goal was +6 staffs and so i earned 49 Large fireworks and 72 small fireworks! ^_^ Ofc some buff potions/scrolls would be nice too, but... i guess we'll just need to wait till next event :)
event failed(in my case lol) burned throughso, so many scrolls just to try to get 1 +17...lol. my very last batch of scrolls before i called it quits i was just hoping so much would work....reached +16! got my hopes up went omg, omg, omg i will finally get the last EWS i need for my S duals!(have a hard time making money) i go for that last enchant...and POOF $$@$@.
aaaaanyways i don't see how some ppl can call others greddy if they set the bar "too high" sense many have said that L2 is a game where you must set your goals, some set their goals for +17 and higher(like me) and some set it for hmmm let's say 6(just for fireworks that will go away rather quickly) in reality i think this post from what i have seen of keita's post is more along the lines to go "haha" and slap the ppl who didn't reach their goals across the face.
Vral, try to understand one important thing - higher goal = higher chance of failure. So if you set your goals high you have to accept equal risk too. And btw, it is ppl who make their decisions. You want high prize - be prepared to fail. Or you can be more realistic and take what you can get with least effort :)

I agree with you that I tire of hearing people complain all the time, and I made the event work for me, but I would like to state why I was less than enthusiastic about the event.
--standing around and enchanting a staff is not a particularly fun activity
--the odds for achieving anything beyond +4 were really frustrating, and I needed to go to at least +14 to get anything I considered worth the effort (didn't make it even once). I don't feel the need to be given a load of stuff all the time, but other events have been more fun and exciting when some useful reward was semi-easily available.
--the rewards were not very appealing -- I'm still carrying fireworks from 2 years ago and enchant scrolls can be had from many sources; buff potions or vitality pops would be a more useful and satisfying reward.
--the hunting drops were pitiful; I rarely picked up more than 1 scroll per hour.
How I made it work for me -- as with many events, I just made a point of buying the 24 scrolls every 6 hours (or close thereto) and selling them. The first couple of days were cool because people were buying them for 30-50k a piece, but enthusiasm waned and by the end of the event I was lucky to find a buyer at $1k a piece. Nevertheless, I outfitted at least two new characters through C level, armored two wolves, got a couple of common A weapons, bought a Death Blader transformation scroll and still have about 5 mil in the WH.
The only time I make any headway with weapons and armor is during an event like this, where I can wheel and deal the event (honestly, legally, within the rules of the game and the EULA).
Don't know what you all are crying about. I got a full tat set out of this event and I know several clannies that got Sg weapons.
Ya cus the S grade weps were flowing like a river. Can't wait for the prices to plummit because of all the S and S80 rewards that were won in this event.
Prior to the event starting, I was excited to see things get underway. After all, it was far different than most of the other events we've seen in recent memory, and since I've had some great enchanting luck in the past, I figured I'd at walk away with at least a decent prize. But after burning through 3,050 scrolls, I didn't once make it past +16. And if you already have multiple Tateo sets for your characters, then there was really little point to pass the staff in earlier, unless you're the type to get excited over a mask (I'm not).
I'm not totally against the event and how it was run, but I do think it was far too tedious. I couldn't agree more with washtak's suggestion of having a system that would allow you to get many enchants over with at once. Even if it took just as long as it would if you did each one manually, I still think people would be happy. I'm not sure about anyone else, but after enchanting for a while, my wrist started to kill me from the insane repetition. Not fun.
That all said, I am really glad to see an event that wasn't only about collecting a bunch of random items in the field and then using those to earn a chance at a prize. I do hope to see future events that require more than simply standing in one spot though.

NCsoft keeps making new events because they care about us. And it's not always just complains. It's just that it's imposible to please everyone. There always will be some ppl who don't like something and that's to be expected.
There's nothing wrong with it. But problem is that this little portion of ppl who don't like event are trying hard to make impression that all comunity feels that way too:(
i liked this event until they extended it.
i ended up with 2700 scrolls on the monday night before event ended...
i had to work at 7am, so when i was up til 6 enchanting, i was a little annoyed... fell asleep standing up at work a few times the next day.
overall, i got the hat i wanted, i got a hat i didn't need, and i got 3 tat rings... this is alright, but not nearly what i was hoping for...
i wanted more, but i have bad luck...well not bad, but not good either.
other people can enchant to 15 on 100 scrolls... it takes me 700:)
so people who have more luck benefit from this much more so than those without, it's kind of sad, but it's the way life always works out...
i think everyone who has bad luck should find someone with good luck, and stab them, and drink their blood... maybe then we will all have good luck... bwahahaha...

It wasn't a complaint. Just that it's totally wrong to say it wasn't for bots. This event was about :
- Having a maximum of accounts
- Having the time to collect the scrolls up to 4 times a day
- Being rich enough to buy more scrolls
- Burning a maximum of scrolls, repeatedly, tediously.
It's a fact that farmers with bot trains were again the ones who would benefit the most of it.
Now that being said, it doesn't mean NCsoft shouldn't do events. It was still possible to enjoy the event for everyone. It was easily the event where I got the best item rewards. Nice. Was it fun? Not really.
It was exciting at the beginning. It was tedious in the end, but as there were the Tateo jewels not too hard to reach, I put in some dedication accepted the grind. Like in any part of the game.
Well, I say the rewards were good, but only Tateo had a good value for the difficulty to reach it. Higher rewards had too many unnecessary fillers. And they were good in comparison to previous crappy events. But should we compare them to C4 rewards that we still get regularily?
