The below link shows a hero from franz server who was caught by enemies botting afk. He was automatically rez'd 100+ times.
We are encouraged by NC Soft to report suspected 3rd party program users but then when we do we are asked to patiently wait for NC Soft to perform an investigation. The concerns in the case are:
1. This guy has been hero for the last 18 months! May I suggest that GMs prioritize bot reports and look closely at heroes?! Hero status changes the game in many ways for their clans with their buffs. I would suggest the server community is much less concerned about the random 2nd class chars who bot then we are about those who affect hero status.
2. This player is part of a constant party who all started together, leveled together and hit 85 together. The other members of this party are often heroes as well. They are still seen botting afk, farming the aerial cleft afk, and using 3rd party programs for other functions. These players were reported by many for 3rd party program use before they even hit 76! They have been reported for YEARS and yet nothing happens. I would suggest there is a breakdown in the system somewhere.
To be clear the issue isn't this one player specifically but the process which allowed him to achieve his hero status and keep it over the course of years.

Not to mention you are not to report or post any of the people you suspect of botting on the forums but via the in game option or the support site, as stated in this Topic (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=204080) (opening post of the topic is quite clear on how to proceed)
I did not mention any player's name in this post. The purpose of this thread is to call attention to two improvements needed in NC Soft enforcement:
1. There are many players who have botted afk for years, they have been reported, yet no action is taken. I can understand why players who use 3rd party programs but are at their pc are difficult to catch. What I don't understand is how it is not easy for players who are afk to be caught. There are so many clues such as:
a. accepting 0% rez's from enemies
b. automatically changing mob targets when another player targets the mob
c. sit/stand at inappropriate times
d. buffing the same buff repeatedly when a superior buff is received (for example WindWalk when the player has ImprovedMovement
and dozens of other clues, not to mention the logs GMs have available
2. I am suggesting in general that bot reports on present and past heroes are given a higher priority in the GM queue.
That's it guys. I don't believe any GM will ever view this thread of video. I just hope Sace may be able to suggest at a future meeting the feedback offered to improve customer service in this area.

I found it a bit odd how the dagger that is killing him had that many quest items though, arent they used for something? It looked like several thousands.

Video capture is the most strong proof about bots.Gms can benefit by watching this forum and investigate the proofs or links they can find here.If we players are supposed just to write stuff and watch them ourselves then forum is worthless.

+1 for every video is posted showing bots,even more when these bots are abusing the hero system which was made to be the reward for most dedicated players,not for best setup botters.

hero system in l2 is fail... first if u are euro and play US server oly time is sick... second some classes do need much skills ex. TK - bot till 85 and u are hard to kill because if u bot till 85 u have great gear and OEd skills....
But hero was designed as "special" in each class - best of the best... now it is feed :/ - openly boting hero is real ^%$&^%$ ... feed is real *&%^*$%^$ also... ex. some bartz hero archer is lol 81 with lol +10 stun and daggers often 1-2 shot him but he still talk (*&%^(&%^( on hero chat all day becuase clan feed him hard.... hero system is BAD and bot politics is more bad.... :/

If someone cheats then everything they accomplish (hero, levels, gear, 3rd CC, ... everything) is tainted and means nothing. It means nothing because they did not accomplish it themselves, it was not bacause of their skill and perserverence.
The only people who cheat are those who are not good enough to do it legit.
Mardonius: I exp from lvl 1 in same clan, never detag for exp etc. sometimes game was really hard if u are in small clan and have war with top clan.... but life is circle :) we growth !

I just wanna oly 24h or 6h us and 6h euro prime time - is more fair... for me (wife + kid + full time job) oly at late night is imposible but i accept it.... i choiced Bartz as best pvp server with small scale of botting - iwas wrong in some aspects.... euro servers ??? with radars, rangers and more russian soft ? no thx..

the hero statue is called "monument of shame" for a reason. I have no doubts that we had less then 10 legit heros since that tournament was implemented.

I was hero for a month and I think that hero status is probable cause for at least a cursory investigation by GMs. Ban a few level 85 permaheroes and suddenly Olympiad becomes fun again.

kamael in this movie is the same kamael from the people they made the petition video.
his party use 3rd party programs for pvp/olympiad all the time. and they log 1 lvl chars at their xp spot to bot report anyone that dares to go pvp with them and stop their xp.
I mean what is worst a boter or a boter that report a boter so he get rid of him.
im not sure about any NC rules...but if i do not remember wrong, pictures and movies are not allowed as proof for anything. And also, i dont remember how many of those movies i already saw, and NC never done anything or just randomly.
E.g. cleft is 90% full of scripted chars, but to be honest, i dont have to write this here...that 90% of server players, or let me say, of people who are exping, are on tools.
Banning 1-10 people every month, just because someone made anought petitions, or a high clicked post on the official forum...hm...
As far as i know, currently not only the guy from the movie got banned, also others who were playing with him in the past. How could that be? Some of them were just sitting ot Clan Hall or checking shops. Maybe the whole clan of this guy should be banned...just for investigations, ah i know better...please bann the whole server, that would be a real good solution.

Im just sayign here, that they might or not might be bots, thing is that this proof is not enough IMO to ban someone, now if GMs got better proofs that clearly prove the guys on the vids are on bot then we cant argue, but banning only by the video, and few petitions that came from same clan / accounts / lvl1 alts chars is as MrRighty said - unprofessional
this game now is very old, and few small bans can bring big changes, and I won't mind if they will be done with proper proofs. f.e.: the link to thread siog gave where kamael dissapears 2 times in a row for 2 seconds could be checked easily with game logs or whatever u call it
The video was not used as the determining factor in our investigation.
Yes, the video did prompt us to take a look at what's going on, but ultimately, the game log was reviewed.
We will not automatically close an account based on a player submitted screenshot, video links, and tips of that nature, but these tips can be used to open up investigations.

The hero auto-rez thread was one case where the GMs happened to view that thread and the video, and also happened to have the opportunity and resources right then to investigate it. In general, however, the forums are not the place to report violations. The links to the video and any names mentioned were quickly removed. We do thank the posters for making a report, but we do not encourage further posting of videos on the boards.
