It is with great sadness that I come to you today to bid my farewell to the Lineage II team.
Lineage II is a game and a community I’ve been a part of for most of my time at NCsoft West. This was a very difficult decision for me, as Lineage II is more than a project to me. I am so proud to have been a part of the great teams that helped bring it to the North American and European territories, and to have been a part of the community, the people that are the very lifeblood of Lineage II, who made Lineage II great. The friends I made in and out of the game filled my experience with unforgettable memories. The direction I am taking within the company will still allow me to work with and for Lineage II along with other NCsoft West titles. However, I am sorry to say I will no longer be working as the Producer for Lineage II.
I have not been able to achieve all of the goals I had originally set for myself, but please know that great things are coming to Lineage II. I leave you in good hands and I know that the current and new members of the Lineage II teams are excited about the future of the game.
So thank you, each and every one of you, for giving me years of fun, excitement, and memories.

I still remember years back when you were one of the GM who had helped me. It is sad to see another veteran go, but if you are still with NC, then maybe we will see you popping into L2? Maybe you can cause some major chaos then!
(Yes, like someone had mentioned in another thread, you should spawn Antharas in Giran square as a farewell gift. I will be waiting on Aria to see all of the dead shops. XD)
Well, didn't know you, or even that you existed, but I wish you luck all the same, and here's to hoping that the move is a promotion not a demotion as it sounds like it is. Best of luck in your further carreer and if they ever give us beers in game or i'm in seatle drinks are on me.

Good luck in your new adventure! Tell the new guy/gal to get rid of those auto targeting systems people are using in PvP before they do anything else. You've evolved just as L2 has. DING!! It looks like your career has leveled up!!!

Wow, I honestly thought you left the team when Spam left, obviously many don't even know who you even are and what you do which kind of shows how great most of the L2 team is by hiding in the shadows.

I don't think you understand the role of a producer in the game business. If you did, you would be praising his performance as that is a pretty good job description for a game producer.
An internal producer is heavily involved in the development of, usually, a single game. Responsibilities for this position vary from company to company, but in general, the person in this position has the following duties:
While as NC soft West is not responsible for pure game development but implementation of localization, events development and beta testing I would say no any reson to blame Omega for bots in game :)
Ok he could force, one who do events to attach anti bot/anti 3rd program utilities .. but in principle it is not his role :)
I would say, last event what never happen can be treated as fail ;)
Same as few evens (like infamous letters ) are not something to be proud.
Errors in translations, not working TW jewellery attribute defence...
But surly not that people bot :)
In general I can say Well done - with such big project small errors can always happen.

Annnnnnd l2 suffers another blow. L2 has been a GREAT game in my opinion, I've enjoyed it at least. It "had" tons of potential... but it was never marketed enough and there has been so many cheaters. Past exploits, bots etc... with what it sounds like, it almost seems like if the servers were cleared of these violators 100% the game would be even more destroyed. Personally, if NC upped the infraction on rule violators, it would be good to see them actually tell people you've been caught and better stop like L2 Russian Offical and Aion. Allowing people warnings so the game does not lose players, but prevents inappropriate behavior.
Servers in fact do need to be merged despite what people may want. This is a player based game... and all servers seem pretty dead except for Teon. Private servers helped to ruin L2 also, there are many private servers that have a ridiculous amount of players... so I'm told! The whole Private server stuff though I don't feel is all NCSoft's fault, I just think some things could have been handled better.
Anyways, sucks to see you go Omega... the biggest name and most involved person since HGMSpam. I don't know if the people who leave development actually read replies once they've posted their farewells due to possible negative responses. I continue to run on hope that the game may possibly have a better future.
Good luck on your new post Omega :) I remember back a few PTS's ago where you partied us, buffed us, summoned awesome raid bosses in Gludio :eek: lol it was obvious that you enjoyed the game.
I also remember that we had very few events until you became producer, then we had at least 1 per month until recently :(

Thanks for al the fun filled moments and memories (PTS RB rampage fun anyone :D Or drop gifts from the man himself in Giran town :D). I'm sure i'm not the only one when I say we will cherish them.

To all those who have blasted Omega in this post, please do the rest of the community a favor and just quit playing/posting. Those of us who truly enjoy this game still don't want to hear it.
As Laby said, Omega has been a staple of this game for as long as I can remember. And I, for one, will be sorry to see him go.

Only people who love the game are able to insult other people and get no warning. Maybe even giggle and appaluse from NC
So if you legit player you must hate game (why would any legit player love a game full of Cheaters that NC tolerates and in many ways helps) and you must say no wrong against Cheaters that make a living at playing this game otherwise NC bring da hammer down.
