Server Maintenance - 5 - 11

All servers will be down for maintenance on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 5am PDT / 7am CDT / 8am EDT / 12pm UTC/GMT. Estimated downtime is approximately 4 hours.

With this maintenance:


The Anniversary Letters Event (http://www.lineage2.com/archive/2011/04/7th_anniversary.html#Letters) ends. The Angel Cat NPC leaves. All letters are removed from the game. All rewards from this event, including the Letter Collector's Gift, remain in the game.
Players that signed up for Anniversary Subscriptions (http://www.lineage2.com/archive/2011/04/7th_anniversary.html#Subscription) will receive their reward in their private warehouse. Reward items (depending on what subscription you signed up for) include:

7th Anniversary Cloak - Pitch Black.
Hero's Treasure Chest (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=214916). Please note that details about the expiration timers on items inside the Hero's Treasure Chest have changed. Be sure to read about these important changes (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=214916) before you open your chest.

Good changes. I guess i will try my StS again, since there will be equipment for it, however i am not expecting much, the game is too melee oriented right now. But will be a nice change and this was a very good idea regarding attracting old players back by providing both gear and incentives to resubscribe.
Maybe there is a wind of change in some high places ? NCK is looking into NCNA ?
Lets hope a lot of slackers will visit their respective unemployment boards while ppl with open minds and will to work will join so, perhaps, L2 still has a chance (wishful thinking, hehe...)

Well done with the timer settings on the gear, a very fair and common sense approach to how it should be done. Something NCSoft seem to have improved upon since I've come back to game.

I also say this because my subclass will get a decent weapon upgrade out of this lol :eek:

Too bad I signed up last week and didn't know of the 7th anniversary resub. Now I'm missing out of the gifts on both my accounts :(

Let me take a moment to blame SOE for keeping me so long away from resubbing to L2 by telling EQ2 would be up any day now (already for 2 weeks...)
