you can only unlock 1 subclass, one that's not the same arch type as your main
arch type's: archer dagger tank mage summoner healer enchanter warrior
you got 3 type's in total, if you chose not to unlock the dagger but 1 of the enchanters then you just have to pick 1.. doesn't matter which one.
btw at GoD we also get the chance to change all sub classes so you could always change 1 enchanter to a tank or healer w/e then, no need for reroll etc. at all.
If I take the archer and the dagger past 85; can I keep 2 enchanter subs at 80 or will I have to change one of them?

You can keep both BD and PP at lvl 80. You can also change the PP to SWS if you want to, however, in GOD BD and SWS are same even before awakening. There's no benefit of having BD and SWS separately. They learn new song/dance even prior to the awakening that will replace current ones.
And, Yes! They learn same song/dances.

Honestly, I support, that idea! In the PvE or PvP party was many time problem to find BD and SWS in good level range too for their song/dance.
While now they will get same "Rhythm" is a good idea. But as I know there another skills still be different like SWS has Song of Silence BD has Medusa etc.
The developers should merge the classes in same form, make a big 8 class category as they did from 4th class where every dagger/buffer/tank etc get standard useful pve skills, but they could stay still 36 different classes on the 4th class change too.
why not just delete all pre 85 chars and have everyone start as awaken while you're at it..
seriously stop this Aionification of L2, GoD is being pushed onto us going forward without any choice in the matter, let's not also go retro actively undo all the past glory of L2.
no matter how you spin it going from 36 classes to 8 is /fail and if GoD was prelude I would never have started play Lineage2 as l hate Aion and this is just a big copy/paste from that direction.

Well on the whole world who plays Lineage 2 like the game for same reasons, not so big difference at this situation between Korean or Japanese or European player.
The Goddess of Destruction just really a "new project" where the developers try cross the Lineage 2 with AION or same type game, the time will shows how, that will work believe me, with time if the players worldwide will disslike the 8 class idea they will change it. The developers still already confused about the classes. So at any upcoming update can happen that the reveal infos that will 5th class change quest where u can get your 3rd class or will available 50 5th classes.
But don't judge it so much before u not tested it enough.
this change is purely driven by the MMO market situation in Asia where Aion holds solid #1 position so plz spare me the condensing tone..
the thing I loved about Lineage2 was it's uniqueness in freedom be that classes and how you can play them or open pvp/siege system etc.. making it like Aion is an easy way for quick marketing aka more $$$ for their bottom line without having to invest to much in an almost obsolete game.
if L2 held the #1 position they would be changing Aion to be more like L2.. ah if only that was the case but the current upcoming player base doesn't like hard grind games so meh..

BD SWS OL WC and PP skills DO NOT all get rolled into one even in the lower levels. BD / SWS get the same combo songs / dances at lower levels. And though I like destructor's posts / tips / info we don't need him for thatinfo. We need YOU to read the Patch Notes. Heck, they are posted in the same section you are posting, they are sticky, they are the second thread under the rather peculiar name of Goddess of Destruction Korean Live Patch Notes (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=216369)

I would advise our dear friend destructor to have quick look at published info and NOT answer that kind of questions. No need to loose precious time because of some lazy people. That have never bothered to check Patch Notes and keep coming, asking the same questions again and again.
Like you explain the different mentality and game environment, help us also with lazy people. Tell them to search for themselves first. They will learn something, they will be better, they will find out that there is not only their question asked that matters but hundreds of other things they never thought of .. Because they have not made their homework ..
I agree that losing all my unique skills and the homogenization of all the classes I am very not happy with. Kiefer just finally got Lightning Shock and is having so much fun with it, it makes me VERY sad to think that we will lose all of these special fun class-specific skills at update.
Although I do like having bd/sws sing/dance the same, will take a lot of pressure off making parties.
and if ppl want to answer lazy ppl let them. for I am lazy
