Posted below you will see a list of questions that have been asked within the Lineage 2 community surrounding the upcoming November 30th release of Goddess of Destruction. As more questions are asked, they will be added to this post and answered. Feel free to respond with questions of your own, related to the release of Goddess of Destruction Truly Free.

Goddess of Destruction Launch
What beta testing has been done for Goddess of Destruction?
You can be assured that significant content and stress testing has been performed on Goddess of Destruction to ensure a high quality launch.
Will all servers remain PvP? Will there be any alternatives for PvE?
We'll retain our existing policy of offering the full game experience, which includes PvP, on all servers.
Will the official servers allow dualboxing or multiboxing for free?
We plan to provide more information on this topic at a later date. Thanks for your patience.
How many new servers are coming to support Goddess of Destruction?
Will there be any events celebrating the nearing start of Goddess of Destruction?
We've just announced Vesper Dreams, which will last up to launch day. We'll also have special promotions in our new web store. Keep an eye on our website for all the latest info and updates about launch plans and more.
Do system requirements change when playing Goddess of Destruction?
Once the Goddess of Destruction client is available for download, we'll update the website with any changes in system requirements.
Will Goddess of Destruction be translated into other languages? If so, which?
We currently support English language only and have nothing to announce at this time about supporting other languages.
Will Olympiad tokens and TW badges be kept or deleted with the new Goddess of Destruction release?
Olympiad Tokens and Territory War Badges will both remain untouched as we transition to Goddess of Destruction; nothing will be removed. Please note, however, that as the Olympiad will then be for players level 85 and higher only, players level 84 and lower will not be able to access and spend their Olympiad Tokens until they reach level 85. Territory wards will not be reset.
Will there be any item lists for items in the cash shops in Goddess of Destruction?
You'll be able to preview L2 Galleria (web shop) starting on Nov 23 and we'll reserve L2 Store (in-game shop) details for launch.
[NEW]Birthday Cake buff: Some of my characters still have birthday vitality buff running on them. Will this also remain, with the changes being done to vitality? Or should I grind out the 11 hours of time remaining on my toons, with a use-it-or-lose-it mentality?
Unfortunately we were unable to test this before launch. We recommend using up existing birthday buffs before the launch maintenance begins.
[NEW]Ancient Adena: Will I still be able to use this, or will it disappear with the changes to catacombs?
[NEW]Vitality Pops: I found 10 of these in my warehouse on my toons. Will these disappear with the changes being done to vitality?
Revita Pops will not be removed.
[NEW]After swapping Doomcryer to Yul Archer what race stats (str/dex/con/ect) and special racial skills will this character have? Orc or Human?
In going from Doomcryer to Yul Archer the character remains an Orc character. They will have the Orc Awakening race skills (Fire Blessing, Energy, Undying Will, and Savage) and the Orc base race stats. Note that all race’s base stats were changed in Goddess of Destruction: the stats are listed in the patch notes. [NEW]Is there a way for an Awakened character to learn or keep 80/81/83 book skills in relation to a new class archetype?
In Awakening and becoming a new superior class, all book skills are removed so that you can learn the new skills with no conflicts.
[NEW]If someone will switch class A to class B with Stone of Destiny upon 4th class change and use Subclass Change Certificates to exchange lv80 subclass B (same as new mainclass) for class A (same as old mainclass), will he be able to make it Dualclass via lv80 quest? Or is there a bug preventing such swap?
It is not a part of the game to design to allow a character to achieve Dual Class by doing anything other than the Dual Class quest, Split Destiny.
[NEW]Are all active wars going to be ended during maintenance?
Yes. All clan wars will be annulled with the launch of Goddess of Destruction.
[NEW]Are PK counts and Karma going to be reset during maintenance?
Karma is reset because the Karma system is leaving the game upon launch. The new system, Reputation, will start at 0 for all characters. PK points will not be reset.
[NEW]Are all castle and wards going to be reset to NPC or remain in the hands of the controlling clans?
Castles and fortresses remain unchanged during the launch. We will be able to verify the same question for Territory Wars after we complete some testing in the future.
[NEW]Will Manor seeds and/or crops be deleted?
They will not be deleted.
[NEW]Should we use fame before maintenance or will it be x10 during maintenance in transition for Goddess of Destruction?
Fame will not change during launch. While you will get 10 times the amount of fame in Olympiad battles in Goddess of Destruction, the launch will not change the amount of fame you already have.
[NEW]Will all clan penalties be reset for leaving clans allies etc during maintenance, because Clan academy are up to level 75 now?
We may be able to answer this after future testing.
[NEW]Is the maximum size of academies changing now that people up to level 75 are in the Academy?
According to the patch notes, the Clan Academy size does not change.
[NEW]What is the castle siege time on Chronos?
The castle siege and territory war times on Chronos and Naia are not changing; they follow their existing cycle.
[NEW]Will there be any chance of dual-IP being allowed?
There are no IP restrictions.
[NEW]What, if any, R grade armors (or other new things) will be available to purchase with Oly tokens?
R-grade and higher equipment and Superior Giant’s Codexes have been added to the list of items for sale for Olympiad tokens, Fame or Adena.
Truly Free
Will credit card info be deleted from Lineage 2 after it goes Truly Free?
Player credit cards will remain on file in case users choose to purchase NCoin in the future.
Will players receive previous boost packages for a high level character when Goddess of Destruction launches?
Players of all levels will be able to choose what we now call Exploration Packs to boost their progression speed and power. Also, the Path to Awakening will provide characters with special rewards at 10 milestones throughout the game until 3rd class transfer.
[NEW]For those with paid accounts when Truly Free launches, will their paid time be converted to NCoin rounded down to the nearest month, or will it be converted down to the day?
The conversion rate is per day of game time.
Naia, European servers
In what country will the new EU server be located?
Naia will be located in the United States, in the same location as Chronos.
Will the time zone remain unchanged?
Naia will remain on its current European timezone.
Is the November 30th release date inclusive of ALL servers, including Innova?
November 30th is the NCsoft West release date for our Truly Free version of Lineage II: Goddess of Destruction. We look forward to seeing you in the reformed Aden! We do not have any information about the launch plans of other NCsoft territories.
Will European countries be able to log into new US servers?
Players from anywhere in the world will be able to play Lineage II on NCsoft West servers. European players will continue to have full access to their existing characters on all servers.
Miscellaneous Game Questions
Is there a way to reset my clan academy's name?
Yes, speak to the Warehouse Chief NPC in a town or village.
[NEW]A patch was recently announced for November 23rd. What was its purpose?
Need more context on this question. Are you talking about the new website, or the truly free switch, or what exactly?
[NEW]In Korea, Kamael Judicator class was unable to become a dualclass for a long period of time. Has this problem been addressed?
Kamael Judicators can become a Dual Class and can Awaken as Iss Enchanters.
[NEW]Have there been any changes or improvements for users with 3D vision from Nvidia?
No changes have been made on that front.
[NEW]Is there buff stacking on the Korean servers? If so, will it be on US servers?
We are currently unable to verify that this is an issue on our servers, but if it is a problem once GD launches it will be addressed quickly.
[NEW]What is NCsoft's plan of action against bots?
We will be actively monitoring the situation and have dedicated staff to handle the 3rd-party software users as well as RMT spam.

I'm sure NCW well release a few reasons why they are undecided, one major one comes to my mind. He refuses to buy them back from me. Could you please have a talk with him and explain how unfair this is? The grocer just laughed at me when I tried to sell them to her. C'mon now, I paid a lot of adenaz for these -- surely some compensation is in order? :)

Here are some questions that came up:

You realize that this will kinda kill Naia since most times there are no ppl around in equal lvls to party with. Any insight how you wanna finalize it? And can the players share their ideas so that you can adjust it or must we deal with w/e you give us?

(lvl wise/gear wise/siege/epics etc.) This way some new player could feel cheated if they join a dominating server while 1 month later a new server will open.

Can't you just do a fix call to NCK and ask? Also couldn't you test it yourslef by simply create a 85 char, give him tokens -> awake him?
Don't understand why this isn't sure if you beta tested GoD that deeply.

How do you plan to get them starting at Naia instead of Innova EU servers? Which reasons do you see for EU players to start on Naia and not on Innova EU Servers while they even start with 5 different languages + support in this 5 languages?
I saw many questions and answers and did not see any info for trail accounts. What will happen to them when new business model start???

Going to ask the same thing, starting in a already populated server would have some advantages for new players, but is always much more fun starting in new server, to don't talk that a fresh one would attract much more people than joining one that it isn't.
IMO, NCSoft should with 2 new servers, one for US and another for EU.

I have 100+ TW bagdes on my alts ready for taking nobless. If TW badges will be removed, will I have to do this annoying TW quest again?? Yes, I know, 2xEXP event could help me to reach 75 on my alts fast, but I am afraid I won´t have enough time for it :(

AFAIK, there's an US Federal Law that obliges a company to delete your personal / CC / Bank account info, provided you present to them an official letter.

I guess the preview page stated that new players can choose either to start here or on Innova. Don't see a reason to block new EU players from a Server that will still have EU times.

You can ban pve bots (which farming 24/7), but cant do anything against pvp programs. Even rootkit-style defence from Innova cannot prevent from using them. THats why i laugh alot when see ppl at Naia wondering about "bot-free" new innova server, just imagine their shock to see pvp-bots again :D
And i know at least 1 - available for anyone - program which just prevent these frost defence system from running, rofl. Its public program, no secrets or "private" versions

They sold the rights in the EU to them and that's it. anything Innova related can only be known by Innova itself.
Innova is independent from NC Soft or NCI.
Not defending anyone, just stating the obvious: Different Companies, different plans. It's not like they share their plans with anyone.

The partnership meant only that they sold it for money or know-how; you can't even find it anywhere besides when naming why NCI left EU. Also, you should try Innova for Innova things because NCI isn't capable of putting up with answers about ifself, making a GM do the job of CMs.
But about the putting up the question on the "FAQ" and not answering it, you are absolutely right.

If we have to pay it would be more like:
Say you have 3 L2 accounts under your main game account.
& ncsoft tells us that you only get 1 account for free & have to pay
$5.00 each for your 2 extra accounts to be able to log in all 3 accounts at once.
It wouldnt matter if you are logging in all 3 from same pc or 3 diff pcs.
On ncsofts end, it will show you have 3 accounts going at once &
have to pay for 2 of them.

I guess my question: how common is multiboxing, and why do it? Do you still team (so a group of 4 players can do something meant for 8+ players)? Or is it for soloing? This is all kind of new to me.
And, honestly, if that turns one player into two-four (however many) players worth of resource consumption, does that give NCSoft a financial reason to try and limit it with the move to free to play? Or do they think you'll spend money trying to keep all these other accounts loaded with stuff? Maybe its one of those, "we'll have to see how it turns out" type things they can't comment on because they don't know yet?
After all - if you were doing it before, that was x * $15/month for them. Now? And if a significant portion of players do this, that'll be a lot of resources.

100% sure that it will be russian client, because the poll is for russian players.
they dont even have forum for foreign languages, where new potential players could discuss or ask questions. my guess innova isn't competent enough to use english, not to mention other languages, man i heard they even had problems with russian language at the beginning

Its obvious if they will open new servers they will be in usa time zone, otherwise they wouldnt have moved Naia. Dont think a lot of people will join from europe.

Maybe you're wrong ;) Myself, along with some friends, will play on NC servers. After playing L2 for many years I can't play on a place sooo badly translated.. dunno if you checked but most of the classes have weird names.. for instance Soul Hound is a Soul Devourer.. I refuse playing with that kinda of translation, so hoping that NC will open a fresh server EU GMT based and for sure many will join! Plus I dont think they are obligated to have USA GMT on their servers, Naia shows that. Still, waiting for a GM/Mod reply :)

My guesis that they will keep selling those LUG codes, but isntead of adicional time, you'll get NCoin, but... hard to tell :P

how players level 84 and below are supposed to convert their Olympiad points earned in November into Tokens?
A couple more questions: how come you still cannot reveal the system requirements for GoD (haven't you done "excessive testing")?
And what's up with other remaining issues, such as multiboxing etc., that is, what forces you to delay the crucial info? Ten days before the launch, what are you busy with? Still "finalizing" something?
Since i cant test armors on PTS, how exactly this 2-3-4-5 parts bonuses work? Can i have like 3 heavy set parts to get 3parts bonus from it and 2 light set parts to get the corresponding bonus for it? Or how will this exactly work?

there is no corresponding bonus, all set give 5 bonuses, depending on how many parts of set you have, not which ones. wearing 2 difrent sets will give you for example 3 first bonuses from 1 set and 2 first bonuses from 2nd set.
if you decide to wear 5 parts from difrent sets, you will have bonuses of each set 1st bonus

Yea you got my question wrong but the answer is kinda what i wanted to know.
So basicly if i get 3 heavy parts and 2 light parts i can end up with following bonuses working for example:
R95 Seraph
Heavy Set - Offensive
3 parts: STR +3, CON -2, Critical Damage +281, Hold Resistance +10
Light Set - Archer
2 parts: STR +3, CON -2, P.Atk 214

2 parts: STR +3, CON -2, P.Atk 214

tested it right now and am getting both set partial bonuses
Lineage II + monthly paid = no dual, triple, quadruple or box limits at all
and nc announces "l2 TRULLY FREE"
So if they charge ppl to log any number of boxes it's not TRULLY FREE anymore
and if they restrict the number of boxes with or without payment nc creates a new restriction to the game that was not here before TRULLY FREE, so it changes the game, making TRULLY FREE a restriction and making some farmers/pve-all-life-long-players/me very mad
in my opnion the only valid motive to limit this is to solve the full-party-botting issue, however its REALLY UNFAIR to give US a game limitation to solve a problem that people responsable from PREVENTING GAME ABUSE cant solve.
And on this topic c'mom its nearly impossible to land a Backstab in oly these days even with shadow step or hide

2 things i really have to say, no matter if i get some ppl angry:
-dual box is bad. some classes becomes "second-hand", just bots, not important. eveyone will play a damage character, and box all healer, buffer, spoiler, crafter.. classes should be played, and balanced so each of them, using own skills can beat any of others using their skills, just depending on player strategy.
- i hope new servers where everyone starts fresh, won't let high lvl toons transfer there, with or without all that gear they have. i wanna start from 0 with all the rest of ppl and race them to highest lvl and server domination. not start from lvl 1 and day 2, while i struggle to get myself enough gold to buy 100 wooden arrows, i see max lvl players, geares in best-money-can-buy shiny thingies

When you miss a class, and there is nobody in clan online with this class or which could go with you (for example let's say a BD) do you prefer to do nothing, to log a box, or to take a random who will **** the party ?

Or EE doing only MP recharge when it's the only healer. I care about random DD pulling whole groups when it's rebuff time, or when the healer is oom.

when we were going tiat raids, i remember we were paying randoms, which we missed (for example bd or ee) to come with us. sometimes randoms were getting more money than was party average :mad: but what we could do, live person is way more effective than box
boxing during sieges is the biggest punishment ever :mad: and going pvp with box healer/enchanter and only live DD will end with the face in the ground :D
Sorry Laby, but on Chronos I had too few bad times with Randoms...
Also, I joined many many "Other Clan Parties" as the "random" Cardinal and, so far, I only got compliments (despite 3 or 4 deaths, while I was learning my roles)... Remind you that this is my first time as a healer in Lineage 2, even from other servers...
Even the deaths didn't make people angry... I don't know, you boxing people should give one buff round to try out a random, before going for box... This way, you tutor new players on how to play and improve your own community...
Use that buff round to point the player mistakes and how to correct them and, if they are willing to learn, they will become as good as you want them to be...
Think the biggest problem with random parties in GoD will be the new WAR system. Guess you have a party with 5 clan member and 2 randoms and wartags rush you.
Dou you think the random partymember will even dare to flag/d,s/buff/heal ?
It's already sad that if 1 or 2 ppl kill 1 wartag in a whole party most of the time the rest of the party just watch cos they are afraid to die.

couple of days ago i was exping in random lowbish party in toi. i were there for more than 2 hours, and every buff round wc gave earth chant instead of war chant and every time half of party were saying "war chant plz".. and it kept going on and going on.. when i left ppl still had to ask wc to rebuff war chant instead of earth.. and yes, we offered a guy to change his macro and he answered that he was buffing manually >.>

That's why I said one buff round. That WC was clearly not willing to learn (maybe not able to understand, which is basically the very same thing).
After the first buff round, if he didn't learned, /dismiss him and get another.

BOSS is a great clan on Chronos (even held Schut Castle for some months so far, recently switched to another one) and has many people.
Just this last Friday, I was looking for a FoG party and I found one created by 4 BOSS players.
We ported to FoG and, surprisely enough, none of them had EVER set foot in FoG and didn't know how to find a good spot for polling 2-3 rooms...
I end up leaving them for a DV party that I was invited for, but neven diminishing them. They just have to learn and they maybe will, if their clannies are willing to teach (when my AW was in BOSS, no one cared about what I was asking, no one wanted to teach me anything, until I left them and, eventually, created my Cardinal).
BOSS is still a great clan and have great players, but also have people that don't know how to do some things... So, they should be called worst than randoms? I don't think so...
Everyone has its skills and knowledge and Big Clans don't always have some effect on this...

however you cannot deny that a game with 32 classes will have at least 32 ways to play the game; and in a group of 9 thats a lot of different ways a group can function.
if you constrict people by saying "your class [take prophet] is only good for counter crit" really doesnt help people want to A: play that class B: play it with you in the group C: contribute to people who are good support players, but who pick bots to run around being a counter crit bot.
the constrictive mentality of sorting and classifying and highlighting the singular functions of a diverse class is the reason people believe boxing is killing the game - youre only functioning on a small part of the class.
macros may help manage autoattack or assisting, but that can hardly be called "playing the class"
groups tend to function better when there are people who learn from each other, and how to play better when one member of the group cannot be present.
this is when players are valued for their skill at their class, and not the class valued for its skill.

I'm just saying that before (P2P), an extra account made them more money.
Now (F2P), their money come with in-game shop (that sells buffs too), so they probably would discourage "free" buffs from boxes, and/or make multibox a payed service.
What if any R grade armors (or other new things) will be available to purchase with Oly tokens? Prices of new items and any old price changes would be nice too.
My problem is I have enough oly tokens to buy a vorpal set for my sagi on 4 toons but only one is 85 so far.
If I wait til goddess my under 85 toons won't be able to buy from oly manager :( (seems silly) but if other better sets are available within similar cost of tokens I might make a mistake buying vorpal now :o
For planning other things, a complete list of luxury shop items/prices would be helpful as well.
First and most important question is: Will be any new server at GoD start(nov30) ? because if you wanna wait to check how many ppl came back is a bad idea, because lot of ppl wont start to play with GoD until there isn't any new server or until you say: there won't be any new server.
Second question: if there will be a new server, and old players will transfer their char to it, they will be able to buy all ClanHall on the first week? ...
Third question: Trial accounts going to be normal acc, or have to register a new one?

we dont say that all randoms r bad. we r saying that sometimes is easier and less time consuming to log boxed toon and go exping instead of wasting time to teach some1 to do things, which my boxed toon can do if i press 1 button

It would make 37,4 euros aka 10 euros lesser than the amount you listed... i don't expect conversions to be daily up-to-date, but such big difference is a bit too much.

the current Ninia or what ever is staying what ever EU time zone it was before it moved to the US. They wont just spawn a bunch of server right away. They prob allow the 1st 2 live servers fill up then move on from there...... OR have a total of 3 maybe 4 servers at launch of GoD then go on from there

It's under File > Settings > Advanced. FFS

After aweakening.. when i go to npc (or i can learn skills anywhere, dont know) i can chose what i want to learn and lose from 1-3rd prof? if im not wrong when i finish "4th" prof quest, and awake, i just lose all skills oe. so for example new archer skill for rapid shot is Quick Fire. but if im not wrong rapid shot is much better than new one. so i can keep rapid shot and not learn new one? and another question what options if for OE that skill.. time/cost like on old rapidshot, or for example swiftness for more atack speed.

the enchant options for quick fire are for time and cost, so the same as old rapid shot.
im not sure if the old rapid shot is better then quick fire, maybe for the first lvl but in the end quick fire will be better then old rapid shot.
And yeah you can choose to not learn the new one and keep the old one, but you will lost the enchants on rapid shot.

I prefer to have my L2 accounts split in different NC accounts for various reasons it's better that way, even if u cant create a 2nd L2 account on one of your old NC accounts what does it matter from the moment u can create a new NC account and make a 2nd L2 account there? to tell u the truth I didn't even know that u can create more than 1 L2 account inside an NC account ~.~

I noticed that all of my game accounts say "Standard".
It would be nice if ncsoft would continue to let you login multiple
standard accounts for free the way it is atm.
But then also for ncsoft to make some more $$, offer to let us upgrade
any standard account to a premium account for XX amount per month
if we wanted to.
Premium accounts could get permanent 2x xp,sp, drop rate.
This would give players a choice...as the website says...to

Well the GoD site does say the following:
Q: Aren't there premium, VIP, or similar account types?
A: No, everyone plays for free, and we consider all of our players VIPs! If you are looking for additional gameplay benefits, some convenience items, vanity items, and packs are available for purchase in the L2 Store.
If they keep the accounts the way they are now, that is fine with me too. :)
Is the Path of Awakening only available to new characters created after the Launch of GoD, or does it apply to any character regardless of their level at the time of the launch as long as they fall within a level bracket capable of receiving the Path of Awakening bonuses?

yep we r less than 48 hours away for the launch of GoD can u enlighten us a little about this subject? I am sure u know that thousands of ppl w8 to know before they decide what to do my self included, inform the masses already ~.~

Your prompt response and your helpful answers really mitigate the fact that you have not offered us a PTS for the most important patch in L2's history.
One day left and with your input, we all feel sure about what we are going to do in GoD, although we have no PTS.
Again, I have no words in expressing my graditude.
wasn't it said somewhere, that the idea about new server will come, if there will be need in it - the 2 servers there are will be too busy. Don't think its the case atm.
How many new servers are coming to support Goddess of Destruction?
We'll be monitoring new player influx and CCU closely and plan to open additional servers to accommodate populations accordingly.
I think it s obvious that there wont be a new server on launch day . They will monitor the population and if Chronos or Naia get too populated they will open another one or more .

thx for the attention and the response at last, I w8 to hear the final answer and I hope u have in mind that if the old servers dont reach cap doesn't mean that that's all they want to play so there is no reason to open new server, there is thousands who w8 to play but they will not do so if they dont find a new server when GoD launch.

You wait until less than 24 hours from the patch to announce stuff like "oh btw Pk count isn't reset," or " oh btw, should use that Bday buff on your toon since we could't be bothered to target ourselves and //use_skill to check."
Look, I <3 Sace, sparse is awesome, and pommo has only ever done right by me (even when handing me a temp ban lol), but someone dropped the ball a bit here. Not sure who, but someone.

[NEW]If someone will switch class A to class B with Stone of Destiny upon 4th class change and use Subclass Change Certificates to exchange lv80 subclass B (same as new mainclass) for class A (same as old mainclass), will he be able to make it Dualclass via lv80 quest? Or is there a bug preventing such swap?
It is not a part of the game to design to allow a character to achieve Dual Class by doing anything other than the Dual Class quest, Split Destiny.
I don't think you answered the question. The question is about swapping a main class with a subclass.
After using the Stone of Destiny:
85 Sigel Knight (awakened main class)/80 Hell Knight (subclass)
After using the Subclass Change Certificate:
85 Sigel Knight (awakened main class)/80 Adventurer (subclass)
The question is about a swap. Keeping the above example in mind, is this swap possible, considering that, when using the Stone of Destiny, the awakened main class will be similar to the subclass BEFORE using the Subclass Change Certificate to change the subclass? (Hence, the reference about a bug.)
