the first few times running the client, Gameguard does its background thing so my advice is to delete the gameguard folder, do a check files, reboot, and try again.
Probably your old priv serv changed your host file and now the game tries to connect to that server
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Just to be safe make a copy of Hosts file and put it somewhere else. Open the original Hosts file with NotePad, remove any text that is under this:
# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# localhost
# localhost
:/ you can't run "full check" anymore, you need to use "NCSoft Launcher".
I have h5 client and i did an update from launcher and it took only 10 minutes. Now i can login normally in Naia with fully updated client.

Like Aresha said, you need to remove hosts :)
Actually you can do file check with NClauncher ;) Open it, find game list and right click on the arrow next to LineageII beside green dot. Select Repair (consistency check).
