Vitality Potion -FALSE ADVERTISING

Hello All,

This has been brought up before, but there's no answers so far.

This picture is from the official L2 Galleria Store. It clearly states that the vitality potion "Fully" replenishes vitality.

Yet, it only gives a small portion of vitality while in-game.

This is clearly false advertising, and was a huge incentive on why I bought the Destiny Pack in the first place.

NCWest, you must either return the money to customers, or fix the in-game item (and refund the uses of the item).

This is false advertising and you will not win in a lawsuit as the facts are quite evident and stacked against you.
they can claim is an unexpected bug and fix dat **** w.o getting any kind of problem..... i bet no1 even care to read the terms of agreement.
Can you read it and let me know where it says they hold the right to falsely advertise items on the website and not tell you about it?

It's working properly as per Korean notes, the site needs updated, you still won't get a full Vitality restore. Happy?
It's working properly as per Korean notes

That's nice, I'm not Korean and this isn't a Korean target audience.
This is however a Korean made and run game.

So deal.
That's nice, I'm not Korean and this isn't a Korean target audience.

But it is a Korean game so wether you are Korean or not doesn't matter. And technically the target audience for Lineage 2 was Koreans, and they decided to bring it over to the western countries just to see if it would work; we are definitely NOT the target audience for NCsoft.

But as it is I do agree that they should fix it; mainly by fixing the advertisement for those potions and then give everyone that had bought them up to that point full vitality. If someone had bought multiple potions then change them out for an item that will bring them up to full vitality if any are left in database.
I think if you get a lawyer some of this false advertising will hold up in court now that real money is involved.
They've got two choices. They can make the potions refill full vitality like they should, or they can change the wording and have them continue filling 1/7th of vitality, and fewer people will buy them. But the damage has already been done for some people. My hope is that the wording is correct, and they're supposed to fill full vitality. This imo would be one of the things NCWest intended to change from the Korean servers to give the game more traction here. Simply mirroring what the Koreans do hasn't really been helpful over here.

And the whole purpose of the GoD expansion was not only to give Lineage II a second wind, but also to make the game more appealing to western audiences. And judging from the response to vitality, and the increased level grind at high levels, I'd say they're still missing the mark.
At website say "Fully replenishes vitality" , so must give full vitality .. dont care about korean notes etc ...

NCsoft fix that or going to get some problems really soon with this fake advertising

I was going to buy one this week, but now i dont will spend a cent on this shop..

cya!!
Agreed , total ********.

The tooltip of the potion itself and the advertisement on the sales page clearly sais 'FULL' not 'SOME' or 1/7

At least they are honoring the vesper time till the 30 but this is another bad start.

Ok cool the website says that...... but most likely I will follow the Koreans version. Look at the Destiny Vesper stuff it use to say it wont brake and goes back to +0 if fails now its says they go poof if fails.

So who ever placed it there might typed in the wrong info but NcSoft should refund the coins if people do not want the item anymore if its meant to do 1/7. But again might be a bug and its not doing what its meant to do and fully fill it.

Just send in a support ticket about it, its how I got me Vespen issue fixed
GM Raptor didn't read GoD patch notes yet...
Actually they DID change the tooltip description on the vit pots, at least on the ones I still had in the inventory from before the update (which back then fully replenished vit). They now just say that they will fill up SOME vitality.

yet, GM saying that being offline, in piece zone or killing RB will increase vit is a lie
This is really low and pathetic.
Well, GM not knowing the patch notes, on official server, is kinda ... amateuristic.

@Patch Notes: Vitality does not increase when the character is in a Peace Zone or has logged out.
Time to update your auto answers NCwest.....
Notice how he doesnt answer the question, he just state facts:
"Your vitality points were increased" o really?
Yes,Ncwest has to do something about that.

Also, leaving us without vit4 replacing items and without premiums x2 accounts,is slowering a lot the lvling.Koreans may changed the pots effect but they do have x2 rates!
The ingame vitality replenishing beverage clearly states "Fully replenishes your Vitality upon use".. and it dont so imo they should hurry up at fix it before to much ppl get tricked like this
yes I would also love an answer to this I have used 2 vitality replenish beverages and got back 1\8 of total vitality and a lolipop replenish and got about the same. I my self would buy these replenish beverages alot if they worked right and if they dont fix this I will not spend another dollar on Ncsoft as im sure many people wont either
BUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

FULLY = 100% in my world!

NCSOFT FAIL!
I love the responses that say, "this is a korean game, too bad for you".

Listen... I don't care if I was the only American Lineage 2 player on this planet. The facts are that there is a company here, hosting a server for me, which has a webpage selling in-game content that contains INCORRECT INFORMATION on it.

If you went onto the L2 site and saw a link that says, "Click here to buy Eligia Weapon! This weapon has 300 ele on it, and is +10!". Then when you receive it in-game it only has 150 ele on it and is +5, would you complain? I'm sure you would... Because you were LIED to.

The simple fact is, the Lineage 2 Website for the American servers (MY server, targeted to me, NOT Koreans) states that an item does something that it doesn't... If you can't understand that then you shouldn't be posting here.

+1 i only want to think this is a mistake. Waiting....
This is just like the Promo weapon "issue" of not being as clear as it should be and I would think we shall all get new Vit Potions that fully restore us to vit 4. I think I may have personally used like a hundred potions before I realized I wasn't getting full vit restored and would like to be compensated... I nice hug from Sace will do.

False Marketing.. if they dont make solution we can make something more maybe.

YEAH... we should all call our lawyer friends!!! EPIC CLASS ACTION SUITE!!!

I'll give NCsoft the benefit of the doubt here, and hope that those who purchased these packs will be given replacement potions. The site is extremely clear in stating that it fully replenishes your vitality, but doesn't. It's really quite that simple.

If these potions only fill up your VP about 1/7th of the way, then it'd likely be more beneficial to just purchase a few of the potions that stops your VP from decreasing for 30 minutes.
There is a legitimate issue here with the cash shop potions incorrectly stating their effect. I will submit my own ticket through the website in part because they need us to make them fully aware of how much more money they will make when vitality items actually work.

Maintenance pots are okay, but I'm not spending that much on a regular basis for more vit time that ticks down whether you are xping or not. However, I am highly likely to purchase packaged deals that include fully replenishing items, and I think the same is true of many players.

The playerbase is willing to pay for equivalent benefits of premium accounts, but the product needs to WORK.
Ok, I've added a 60 days game card time yesterday into my account( yes, I received NCoins for it )! So that would have been 2 months of game play time ( back when it was p2p )! Now, what I just wanted to do is to purchase the adventure package because of the "fully vitality replacement" item, but after I have read that it gives ONLY 1/7 or 1/8 I have changed my mind! No seriously, if the adventure pack would not, the destiny pack should at least be ENOUGH for a player to get full vitality for 1 month! ( not to say 2 ) ! So that will be x2 xp which I find it MORE then resonable for 3600 Ncoins which worth like 45$ or 40 E ( 3 months of game time, back in the days + 1 free at some time = 4 ) ! XP Rune 50% for 1 WEEK cost 1.2k Ncoins ( 30 days game time back in the days ) So If you want to have 50% for 1 month, that will be 1.2k x 4 = 4.8k Ncoins = 60$ / 55E ( 4+ months of game time, back in the days + 1 free at some time = 5+ ) . REALLY? Ok, it's free to play, I understand you need to make some money, but COME ON! This is a rip off and now you don't even give full vitality with that potion?
You have just lost some SERIOUS money here! Why? The adventure and destiny packs are kinda worth to buy once you got to 85+ level because of the enchants scrolls and stone + unbind scrolls. What if you added some single full vitality replacement potions worth, let's say 5-7$ ! Alot of players would have bought like 4 in a month = 20-28$ profit ! Then when they would be 85+ , guess what? They will keep buying 4 vitality potions ( because of the higher grind starting from 85 ) + destiny pack because of the other goods.
Hence, I am not a business "diagnostic" guy, but still .. you can do better then this NcSoft! My Ncoins will remain INTACT untill you come up with some "TRULY" promo packages/items.

Beside those flaws , all in all I must say ,good job for bringing those new chances into Lineage 2!

First off, that's a wall of text that needs some editing if you want anyone to take it seriously. Second, if you already purchased coins via time cards then you've already payed them. Ordering an item with them is your part of that compensation lol. I do agree though that it was a big **** up (intentional or otherwise) on the part of NCSoft.

We have enough guns here to hold them off........

BUT NcWest isnt located in Texas they are in Seattle now or something like that. NcAustin well was located in Austin
up
Personally, I don't see how they could not make them replenish fully after getting this info. I just don't see many people buying them if they're only 1/7.

Yes! English is not my main language as you can see! Hence, you got the point in the end, which is all it matters!
About the game-card time! No, I bought it yesterday when I added it to my account and got Ncoins! So no, I did not had it before the game went F2P! So yes, I've paid money to get what I though it was "100%", or ..
110%? :)

Good luck getting anything from NCWest without truly dragging them in front of a court.

L2 was always translated misleading, grammatically incorrect and / or outright wrong. Scamming people with it is just the next step. They are less trustworthy than even private servers with donations; there you get what you pay for.

Also, apetite for destruction hats. Your argument about non-NC servers has been made completely obsolete by the sheer dumbness of items you can now donate for on official US servers.

No wonder Sace hasn't been responding to the flowers I've sent!
Few things;

First of all, saying that the Terms of Service magically makes this better is incorrect. This is false advertising of a product you are purchasing, and it is very much so 100% illegal in the United States of America, and most anywhere else. This cannot be blamed on poor translating or miscommunication because it is their job, foremost and absolutley, to make sure things like this don't happen. For this to have slipped through in something as important as a cash shop tells me that they did no research on their items and now have the potential to be punished for it. But let's be real, who's actually going to sue them? You'd win the case. No contest. But I don't think anyone would actually go out of their way to sue them.

The fact that NCSoft has provided no means of proper reimbursement or announcement regarding the issue to people who have directly purchased this item for it's use is a sign of gross ignorance and negligence from the NCSoft Team, an act that could very well land them in hot water. They know of this issue, and I know they know of it because they ninja took it out of the in-game cash shop (look for yourself, it's not there anymore), but it's still on the website in the packages.

The NCSoft Team has handled this issue very unprofessionally and continues to do so without fail. Most other companies would have given at the very least an announcement regarding this issue or some kind of note to let people know that they are aware of the issue and discussing how to handle it. To continue to leave players in the dark is a grave mistake.

NCSoft, do yourself a favor and let the people you've blatantly ripped off (which I need not remind you is very illegal) know what you are doing about the situation before it potentially escalates into a matter you can no longer afford to ignore.

Its still part of the adventure and destiny pack in the game, so for ppl who are thinking of restoring their vit are now going to buy the whole package just to realize they payed 50$ for 5% vit....
So why didnt they remove it from the pack? Its easier for the costumer to get a refund if he just bought the potion. Getting a refund for the whole package wont be so easy as ncsoft can claim all the other items in the package work as intended and they cant refund on single items.

And who cares of they quit, they already payed 50$ which equals like 4 months of paytime with subsricption. Well done NCSoft
I'm so far past giving a -_-

However, those OTHER servers have been making ends meet for years without scamming their players. And you can't make it through the first month? It's probably obvious by now that "oops, my bad" is losing its charm. The cash shop was going to be the saving grace, and you tarnished it right out of the gate. WTH are you thinking?
It's changed on the site, but the in game description still says full. I was thinking about this pack cuz full vitality is dreamy, but for 15$ and it's a scam? Pfft. I feel for anyone who bought the 45$ pack.
This was addressed yesterday in the Vitality Beverage Issue in L2 Galleria Packs (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=221954) announcement.

Hi everyone,

As many of you know, the L2 Galleria website's item description of the Vitality Replenishing Beverage in the Destiny Pack and Adventure Pack was incorrect for many days. By translation error, it specified that it "fully replenishes Vitality," but it has recently been corrected to say that it "partially replenishes Vitality." The in-game description will be corrected during the next weekly maintenance.

During the time that it displayed the wrong description, many players were mislead and purchased the packs expecting Vitality items of higher value and ability. As they discovered that the items did not give the Vitality reward they expected, these players now have rightful complaints, which we seek to amend.

Every player that purchased a Destiny Pack or Adventure Pack between November 23, 2011, and December 7, 2011 (before that day's maintenance), will be compensated with additional Vitality items.

The type of Vitality item, how it works, how many each pack-type customer will receive as compensation, and when the compensation will be delivered have not yet been determined. While these details are in the process of being finalized, rest assured we are working hard to address this matter and make our beloved customers happy once again.

We will post more updates once the details are finalized. Stay tuned!

While this wasn't an issue for me personally, I take heart that they are trying as quickly as possible to address our issues since the GoD update. I'm holding out hope that we'll hear something about our other issues today. Or soon. My own emo rage is slightly lessened reading this post. :D
