Hi guys, lets see if you have some usefull tips for me. I recently awakened my kamael as a feoh wizard lvl 85 ofcourse with s grade still. I start out with over 8k of mana but if i go grind lets say at altar of evil/swampland i run out of mana in less than 10 min. Even using my own mana recharge skill (wich is almost useless) and having the ocasional mana herb i cant keep my mana from completely draining in 10 min or less. Then it takes another 10 min to fully recharge it. My question to all you wizard players out there is.... How do i grind solo without having to wrry about draining my mana so fast? Is there a better place , perhaps a place with more mana drops?? Any other tip??
Also, in comparision to my current s grade dynasty set and still using an s grade rapier (yes i dont have anything else atm), will my stats greatly increase once i get a full r set and magic r sword?? I currently have 3850 m.atk and 914 c.speed with only mentor buffs.
Ok thanks for listening and i hope i get some useful tips from you all (keep in mind that i know most of you will recommend me to grind in full pty or get a recharger support but i need tips for solo grinding and i dont have time now to get another char to 85 atm)
you should be having no mp problems soloing in swamp/alter especially if using only single target nukes, that is assuming your properly geared.
I guess ur running out of mp b/c of your gear and failed/resisted attacks. Since you have mentor buffs I assume u have a mentee certificate, use this certificate with a mentor guide NPC trade it in for diploma and trade the diploma for R grade gears.
level on white mobs to prevent failed attacks and when ur 86, mentee buffs will be gone so get some R grade buff elixirs, they are common craft recipe from teredor instance NPC at the end.
Wizards should have no mp problem solo, 85-90 swamp drop herbs, 90-95 solo fairies have mp/hp recharging wisps and 95+ seal of shilien also drop herbs.
Have you tried a kookaburra? Even 15 levels below you it should get decent recharges.
If you have any of those minion coupons left, try the wizard minion. I used one doing those rim kamas and for some reason I don't remember how well it recharged :/ but worth a try :)
Mages have had huge mana problems since alpha. And this problem has never been addressed. The addition of mp herbs somewhat lessened the problem by increasing the time until you run out of mp but they never completely solved it in places where mobs do drop mp herbs and mp herbs do nothing in places where mobs do not drop mp herbs (I'm lookin at you velociraptors).
Physical fighters can grind nonstop from now until doomsday thanks to having auto attacks that do high damage but mages have always run out of mp very quickly, and they run out of mp by casting spells that don't really add up to more damage than a non mp consuming auto attack from a melee character.
There aren't any huge MP problems for Wizards. Even in areas that don't drop MP herbs with an EE that recharges me for 113 MP a shot, MP is very manageable.
With an Aeore Healer there are literally no MP problems between recharges and Restores unless you're pulling very fast.
The biggest issue I have with GoD IRT mana is the figurative deletion of the Mana Gain buff and/or Higher Mana Gain Passive. There is a big difference between getting Recharged by an Aeore, and getting Recharged by an Aeore after an EE or SE casts mana gain on you.
All Nukers should keep at least Arcane Power. The skill that replaces it isn't good enough (IMO) and the increase damage more than makes up for the increased mana cost (which is very small on many Wizard skills, 10% of 43/50/70? Lol) - at least while PvEing/Leveling up. If you're dark elf than even the HP drain is ignorable on that toggle. This is especially true if your weapon isn't all that great, since almost all of your damage will come from your M.Atk (simplifying a bit).
I wonder what kind of weapon many of the people complaining have.
Really shouldn't be any issues in *most* groups if people know how to play decently. If you have issues, then drop something and bring an extra healer to double up on recharges and restores. Summoners help there, as well, and double up as DDs.
MP is unmanageable when soloing if herbs are not dropping and can still become unmanageable if herbs are not dropping quickly. It has always been that way and will probably always be that way.
Saying bring a second healer for recharges is not a correct response because in many cases we are lucky to get one healer, two is quite impossible and you shuldn't have to bring along another person whose entire purpose is making sure that one character in the party doesn't run out of mana. Overspecialization was one of the biggest problems with this game, a problem that they spent 7 years trying to fix.
Healers got a stance that allows them to cast holy nukes.
Tanks got offensive abilities when they equipped two-handers or dual-swords.
Scavvies got dagger skills.
Warsmiths got a golem and I think something else but I am not sure what.
Prophets, warcriers and overlords were given the ability to regenerate mp upon dealing melee damage. Warcriers and overlords were also given offensive abilities.
Bds and swordsingers were given combo songs that allowed swordsingers to have more offensive songs to level with than hunter (which was nerfed in C3 anyways, a huge lowblow for the class).
Mages never received a fix that allowed them to deal damage nonstop like every other class was able to do because the developers forgot that the other classes used autoattacks to deal a large proportion of their pve damage so didn't have a mana dependence but mages damage came entirely from spells that really weren't doing more damage than autoattacks giving us a huge mana dependence. No mana=no damage.
The fix to mages running out of mana should have been by giving mages a spell that completely restores their own mp on a cooldown timer of say 10-15 minutes. There are only two classes in the game who cannot do at least part of their job with no mp and those two classes are healers and mages. Healers at least get good mp restoration by awakening that they can still make use of when soloing, mages continue to get ********. We shouldn't have to depend on other classes to do our primary job, and parties shouldn't have to swap out a 3rd DD for a character who isn't really contributing anything just so that one of their remaining DDs isn't running out of mana and becoming completely unable to do their job.
How should a Kamael get emp echo??? ....
Once he awaken he gets human archmage basic skills.
...What? A Kamael Soulhound naturally evolves into Feoh Wizard.
If your nuker awaken have mana problem in swamp/altar it's because you have gear problem...
i can exp at swamp/altar withou mana problem for like 10+ hour... and i never get to 50% mana always more then that
How is it a gear problem? Explain, please.
The Diploma Armor is only marginally better than Dynasty and worse than Vesper.
The weapon is clean with no SA and it's worse than a +3 300 Attribute Vesper Weapon you can get rather cheap these days (or clannies can loan/give you since they sell so cheap). Or you can put 300 Attribute on the Requiem since that's about what you'll need to get any discernable damage increase from it on those Swamp MOBs, and +3 it (then pay more for shots, or buy from L2 Store).
The jewels are decent, but high S80 is still superior.
I don't think GEAR is the issue, unless you're doing high level group zones at a lower gear/XP level than intended and doing terrible damage causing pulls to drag out longer than they otherwise would. For a solo area, buffs and casting order probably matter more.
And use a Sigil.
Lastly, Herbs can keep you from having mana issues, however they're volatile. In Swamp I've gone 20+ minutes without seeing an HP herb drop in a densely packed MOB area. HP Herbs drop like no tomorrow, though. Some Luck factors into that.
L2 is free now. Level up an SWS fast (mentor it yourself, use a Kook on a Nuker and box the SWS behind it) just for Mage Songs/Dances if you want. Even if you only take it to 80, it's worth it for a soloer.
Skill reset is still there with the skill mastery skill.
The awakened skill that replaces arcane power is actually a very good skill too, with 20% less re-use time it's even better! :p
Below 90 or maybe even 95 the Awakened Skill that replaces Arcane Power is not worth it especially on a Dark Elf whose passive completely negates the HP drain. They added 6% clarity in a passive which almost negates the MP consumption increase, as well. I'd skip that for a while.
Empowering Echo I'm more on the fence about. I'd probably have kept it if I Awakened from StSc, but I'm not sure how much use I'd have given it given the huge increase in MP Consumption.
Archers use more skills than before. NCSoft is making the classes less semi-AFK F1 heroes and a bit more interactive/strategic as before (the extent of which is one's own opinion). So, they use MP as well.
And since the best XP comes from partying, yea... Archers and mages have similar MP issues.
What you can do (at least in party/aoe) is to make sure you're using Double Casting as much as you can). It decreases MP consumption by 50% and the reuse is reasonably short.
Solo, just box an Aeore for Rebirth every 10 minutes and recharges when Herb Droprates aren't your friend.
Herbs drop in many group places now. Make sure people in your group are using their brains and not spamming pickup and taking them when the mages/healer/archers need MP. It really isn't hard.

Melee needs heals. Mages need Mana. Mages got Higher Mana Gain to boost Recharges on them. Melee got VR to help healers manage their own mana. Issue is VR was overpowered and Mana Gain was tied to Rechargers from Healers who were already Mana strapped themselves becuase they already had to Buff, Backup (or Main, in some cases) Heal, and Recharge - but could not be recharged themselves except by nerfing their XP gain with a pet later on. Even then, NCSoft made sure they could not cast the Mana Gain buff on themselves... A buff which had less impact on Mana Strapped Nukers than on melee who by then were doing incredible white damage and relying less and less on skill damage.
Mass Recharge Alleviated that a bit, but the recharge is way too long. BoE is on a long reuse and is single target.
Body to mind doesn't scale correctly. It's less than the cost of a 74 nuke at max level and only 1 MP more than a 74 nuke when OE'd +1-+6 or so. If you Death Spike and B2M after every nuke, of course you'll have infinite mana at the expensive of taking 2x as long to level as any other nuke with a recharger on a second computer/client that can recharge them with one button press when needed, while killing MOBs.
Ultimate Body to Mind doesn't scale well. I can't believe they repeated the same mistake in a patch that obliterated all the original classes at end-game in an attempt to balance the archetypes... ...
In addition to that, they nerfed Recharge at end game for anyone but 2 boxers. The only players who don't chain recharge a LoM nuker are people who box their rechargers, because we tend to recharge as we go along.
Sorry, but does NCSoft really think Healers want months of playtime to revolve around cycling rechargers to half-all players in the party while healing/rezzing/whatever? It's terrible gameplay design, IMO (although some elitists will call it skill, lol). They need to either add back in the HMG passive, or add a Mana Gain effect to a Healer buff. The former would be preferred.
Otherwise level an SE or EE to 79 for Mana Gain every 20 minutes, and bring it everywhere with you that it can go. A summoner sub would help with this.
NCSoft has made things worse, IMO, by making the classes more tunnel visioned than ever. Now if you don't have an ISS Enchanter your group can't do anything in any decent places. Before at least you had some flexibility. Now the only flexibility you have is IRT DD classes assuming you don't need a Summoner for help with recharges.
This has never been a problem but a feature to slow mages down a bit because with infinite mana, they would be able to level times faster then melee.
No one cares about field warriors. Herbs never dropped in any of the good spots, so Mages were not crushing melee or even Archer groups in some cases for years becaue of infinite mana - even with two rechargers in the group.
Melee groups have been superior to mage groups for years. Only recently has NCSoft really started rectifying that by adding herbs to indoor/dungeon areas and things like that, in addition to turning some traditionally melee powerhouse spots like FoG/MoS into Mage [AOE] spots (and we see how that turned out, right? Yea...).
Melee groups have always been ahead, for years, getting into end-game spots and there were end game spots in earlier updates that mages couldn't even do at all with any decent efficiency while melee/dagger and even Archer groups in some cases were able to XP all day and all night. If they eventually got there, it was towards the end of the update.
Things have been more equalized now and Awakened classes are balanced in a way that encourages players to mix it up.
But the excuse that melees were weaker than mages were XP has been a false preconception peddled for years. When we talk about good XP, we're not talk about soloing in fields. Those aren't really good XP.
Well, I disagree. There were few chronicles where daggers/archers were imba but since then proper mage groups were better. They were harder and more setup-sensitive but better. And now mages rock. GoD is C4-C5 for mages.
Perhaps you would like to let me know what mage parties were outDPing melee DD groups poling in:
FoG
Pagans/Darkness
IT
Primeval Isle (Mages could do here, but melee were better)
Before the Attribute System literally nerfed all the older content, or the content was nerfed in their favor (new FoG, Primeval Isle)?
They weren't.
Lots of mage groups went to MoS but you could not efficiently AoE those MOBs before the Attribute system. It was all single target and assisting. A few did IT. Almost none did Pagans, and in most cases a single Titan Poler with Frenzy could kill 2x faster than they could. Mage AoE didn't become efficient or even worthwhile until the Attribute system which came in the Gracia update. I think you're letting the current situation of 190+ power spammable AoE nukes cloud your judgement of back when they had half the power and range of a single target nuke and mages didn't have built-in clarity in their passives, and buffs for mages were underpowered compared to melee (not to mention epic jewelry was heavily in favor of melee classes, and VR was a 100% leach on attack).
C5 - Interlude - Kamael - (Gracia)
That's at about 2 years. Melee/DD groups were still superior in Gracia, Hellbound, and Freya. I skipped High 5, so I cannot comment much on that.
There were archers pulling trains in FoG, Duelists doing Darkness. Archer groups with a Warlock could outXP any MoS/IT/etc. mage party with way less MP problems back in the day. Why do you think people fought over these XP spots, to get worse XP than the typical mage group doing worse MOBs in worse parts of the zone, other zones and whatnot? We used to do those groups back when, not because they were great (with top players they were better but still), but because Live Prophets, EEs, and SE players needed help leveling (remember when Inquisitor didn't exist).
Hellbound was farmed by melee from the start. Mages needed higher level support and better gear to do worse spots than melee/DD parties could do with less. The only mages most would even consider were Necros with Curse of Abyss (OE'd) and 78+ Warlocks (or 79+ any of them).
The reason why so many fields were PvP hotspots was precicely because mages needed a party beyond perfect to even make it worthwhile, while melee can just throw one together and do places with better XP and drop rewards. As a result most just leveled a boxed recharger and went XP in fields. Archers as well, later.
This has never been a problem but a feature to slow mages down a bit because with infinite mana, they would be able to level times faster then melee.
Just like Warcryers with Steal Essence (dunno about Overlords)
They hardly get out of MP.
As for the topic, since your awaken lvl 85, you probably have around 50kk adena on your bag, with 15kk you get your complete immortal set, with another 10/15kk you get the weapon.
I would advise to buy those from the AH, instead of Diplomas exchange, since those are event-like and cannot be traded, so any upgrade you do on them (OE, elements, etc) will become useless when you change gear, since you cannot sell them later on.
You can use all your diplomas to get BssR, those weight 0, so you can have alot. Get the jewels if you want that would cost around 6 or 7 diplomas all of them (since you had 40, you'll be with 33 left)
If you wish not to "waste" so much adena on gear, buy the weapon there aswell, but those cost 20 diplomas.

That's an oversight in the change to VR mechanics. It needs to be nerfed.

Terrible advice. Waste money on Immortal Gear... You're not a smart player. You have to be new here.

First of all no one in their right mind is going to put a ton of Attribute, OE, Elements, etc. on Immortal gear. They will save that cash for Twilight at least.
Attribute isn't even worth putting on a weapon unless you can get it to 300 quickly. The only thing that's worth putting on a Requiem Weapon is SA and +3. Given that, it's totally worth it to get all your gear, Jewels (those are somewhat decent) and weapon + sigil with your diplomas. Trust me, by now even with all that gear you'll get plowed in PvP because there are already too many people at 90+ and even quite a few 95+ on the active servers with OE'd gear and stuff like that.
Don't waste money on Immortal.

Seriously telling someone to waste money on free gear to save money and weight on shots is just... Look, I don't want another warning...
If you wish not to "waste" so much adena on gear, buy the weapon there aswell, but those cost 20 diplomas.
You have many chances
Buy the gear and the weapon. And the jewels, and you'll still have enough for like 5k RBSpS. That will get you started. If you pick a decent place to level it will pay for at least your shots.
Don't listen to this guy.
The only time you should skip the Diploma weapon is if you already have a +3 Vesper or better S80 weapon with 300 Attribute. Otherwise, get it.
Don't waste Adena on Low R armor. It is not intelligent.
The fact that you don't agree with my "advice" doesn't mean it's stupid.
By buying an immortal set for your personal use, will make it last for a while, and after you no longer need it, you have the chance to sell it. (EDIT) You can also change it between chars
With luck you even get an extra profit from it.
So not so "dumb"
As for soulshots, not buying weapon/gear etc, instead of getting 5k ss you can easely get around 30k, and since you later on sell your immortal again (witch is atm quite easy to sell) you get your "not intelligent waste of money" back.
I see you point, but twilight is not properly cheap, and you'll probably be stuck at immortal for a few months.
I'm new on official, but old at L2, always did my things this way, and always have succeded. It also relies on your merchant skills and what "you're" capable of doing

Actually it's a very intelligent suggestion he made, your suggestions are the dumb ones.
Immo set will cost what? 15m from the AH + Weapon at 8m = 23m with chances of regular/blessed items you can resell and when you get decent gear you can crush the bound items you don't need.
With diplomas you can get 100k RBsps or 200k RSS? what's that in adena terms? It's gotta be around 40-50m? And it'll be useful forever (Never checked prices properly)
I'd say it's pretty dumb to listen to you apart from using elemented s80 over immo and not elementing the immo. Twilight isn't worth the money people pay for it, it's a nice p.def boost but everything else is basically the same as immo for stupid prices.
OP, plays on magmeld. our s80 item market isn't very well established as Chronos/Naia.
I'm sure R grade is still cheap though, I get about 2-3 Armor pieces a day just xping.
Back on topic: Mages shouldn't have any mana issue at all or you're using the wrong skills/hunting in the wrong places. My Feoh always has near full MP in swamps and playing healer in groups I rarely see nukers running too low on MP between rebirths unless they're terrible and spamming skills or using empowering echo.
The Diploma Armor is only marginally better than Dynasty and worse than Vesper.
If you can'T 2-3 hit mob in swamp/altar with a nuker then you will probably have mana problem... And if you can't 2-3 hit mob is because you have bad gear... so yo better work getting money and not exp since high lvl you go more the gear you have matter...
And for the element for swamp if you don'T have 290+ you have 0 bonus so element don't matter from 0-290 since mob here have 250 ele resist.
One more thing that's working since c1 for mana problem, if you can'T kill mob in less then 3 hit then you are in the wrong spot, if there is no more spot that you can do that then you have a gear problem...
Actually it's a very intelligent suggestion he made, your suggestions are the dumb ones.

IMMO set buying is dumb. You get a full set for free why do you think that crap sells for 2 mil unidentified.
You're going to argue with me about spending a few mil on tats that are useful for 45 levels yet try to justify blowing that much cash on gear that is virtually useless because you get a full free set one level after you awaken.
If you can'T 2-3 hit mob in swamp/altar with a nuker then you will probably have mana problem... And if you can't 2-3 hit mob is because you have bad gear... so yo better work getting money and not exp since high lvl you go more the gear you have matter...

If the MOBs have 250 resist then you get a bonus on every mob that isn't strong against your element (Water attack when you have a water weapon) at 270 IIRC. You get about 10% extra damage on everything that isn't strong vs. your element. However I've heard conflicting information. Some people state the MOBs have 285 innate Attribute Resist, confirmation is needed...
Some races get Attribute P.Atk bonus, like Dark Elves which end up with 310 Wind attribute instead of 300. Light elves do as well.
I've already said in another thread if you cannot get to 300 it isn't even worth wasting resources on attributes stone, and it's part of the reason why a lot of people are still using +3 300 Attribute Vesper weapons instead of R grade weapons (the increase in M.Atk will at best equalize the Attribute Benefit, it will be worse for PvP, and your shots will cost more).
The benefit from Attribute isn't all that great. It's not a big deal. So I don't see how gear plays such a huge role. I think you're misguided.
Casting order and things like that play a bigger role. If you're overusing AoE nukes for higher damage, then you're wasting more mana than someone with a 300 attribute weapon who is pinging twice for a 50 attribute debuff and Vortexing for the kill. Still 3 shots, less mana than 2 shotting with an high power AoE and Vortex or two AoEs.
You are not two shotting with the lower power nukes unless they crit for a lot of damage there.
Also, buffs play a much bigger role than gear there. Having ISS buffs is like an extra 3k+ M.Atk or more depending on if you have Emp Echo and kept it or not. Aeores can restore all your mana every 10m. You should not be running OOM in 10 minutes in swamp unless you're low R grade on the high side.
The only way I can see gear playing a factor is if you have something like a Vesper Noble set with Clarity effect, but that's not huge. However, it can be a factor when coupled with 3% clarity from Subclass (which is not gear).
And you're wrong about the 3 shot thing, since some Wizard nukes cost less than a level 74 3rd class nuke. Significantly less, actually. That doesn't really apply here. Time to move on, like the game has. Where else do you suggest a level 85/86 Wizard go, though. Surely not Dragon Valley?
A bigger factor is:
1. Buffs. Buffs from ISS give you MORE clarity and boost your M.Atk significantly.
2. Skills. If you didn't keep Arcane Power as a Wizard (sorry Kamaels), then you did something wrong.
3. Herb Drop Rate. If you aren't boxing an ISS or Aeore and the Herb Drop Rate is not friendly to you, it's totally expected that you can run into mana problems.
4. Skill Usage. Don't spam just high cost skills. Read tooltips, learn what they do and use this to your advantage to save mana - kinda like how the smart players back in the day used low level overhits to finish off MOBs on SH/SPS to save mana instead of higher cost nukes.
5. What side of Swamp are you leveing on? There's a high and a low side. If you're on the high side at 85/86, then move the low side where the mobs are much easier to kill.
I'm sure R grade is still cheap though, I get about 2-3 Armor pieces a day just xping.

What kind of groups do you do on your healer where mages are always full mana?
I mean, I know some places drop herbs now that can supplement rechargers and maybe in some groups a mage full, but when you're chaining AoEs mana doens't exactly "just" drip out of you...
Or do you group in Swamplands where everyone uses a low cost skill/nuke on a mob and it drops dead, single targeting them?
IMMO set buying is dumb. You get a full set for free why do you think that crap sells for 2 mil unidentified..
Clearly it depends on the server you play.
I play on Naia, half CHEST armor pieces cost around 10kk and lower body/gloves/helmet/boots around 3/5kk, while heavy armor pieces can climb up to 20kk
As for Requiem weapon, usually around 13/15kk, ALL unidentified.
And, it's probably the most "searched" item "group" around.
Seriously, just stop.
Do you even read valid arguments backed up with fact or do you just ignore it and repeat your incorrect opinion?
Unless you abuse the system you get 40 diplomas when you graduate. If you wanna abuse the system and get more than 40 diplomas then go for it, but the following still applies.
FACT: You can either get the equivalent of 20m worth of immo gear or 40mil worth of SS with those diplomas.
FACT: SS from diplomas are superior to SS from shops as they weigh 0.
FACT: Immo from diplomas is significantly inferior to bought unid'd immo since it can't be opened to regular/blessed and it produces no crystals when crushing or OEing.
So why on earth is it stupid to go for the option that gives a higher value of superior items and has the chance of giving better rewards and possibly even making profit if you get blessed items.
In that case then it'd be more advantageous to get the free stuff 'IF' immo prices > value of the SS you can get. However in my instance on Chronos it isn't (apart from immo hvy boots which for some reason are overpriced).

Lol, I swear I paid for chest piece and pants around 8 millions together, got req weapon, circlet and shoes from drops, and the gloves were 1.5 millions.
It's only a matter of patience, shop surveillance and camping the AH every day in search of the best price.

I got all my robes for free: via friends/clannies.
I got my apoc weapon+SA via GoG Twi BP drop. If you can join GoG parties and farm hard. You might get lucky.
Honestly Twilight is not worth billion adena for the small increase in defense and stats. Better off waiting for Seraph.

Joined 2 parties. Dropped 2 Apo Busters (the weapon I want). Both times in the inventory of the Othell Rogue XD
BSPSR cost about 1000-1100 each even if you make them yourself.
Mobs drop about 1000-2000 each. You need 3+ BSPSR to kill any mob. That means even if the mobs do drop adena you are still losing money for every mob you kill so you are never going to make money back from hunting unless you get lucky on item drops. Some people do get lucky in this regard however I am not one of those. If I had to pay for shots I would find myself quitting the game because I'd be running out of money.
You get 100,000 shots by exchanging all of your diplomas for BSPSR. That equates to 100 million to 110 million adena worth of shots.
A full set of immortal costs about 6 million adena, jewels around another 5 million more and weapon is 1.2 million on top of that.
So you can either buy your gear from the auction house for 12.2 million adena and get 100 million adena worth of shots or you can use those diplomas to get gear and 5 million adena worth of shots.
Since 100 million is greater than 17.2 million you will always be better off by using the diplomas to get 100,000 shots instead of gear.
Use a 300 Attribute S-80 Weapon which does a lot more damage than a +3 R weapon so the R shots from Diplomas were useless to me.
How much do the crystals cost to go from 150 to 300 on an R weapon + SA? You'd need at least an Apoc weapon to make it worth it since a Requiem is so barely better than even a Vesper that the increase in shot cost makes it a waste of time to use that class of weapon for XPing, IMO.
S shots are dirt cheap and you can get 30k from the L2 store for 240 NC Coin these days. That's a much better deal if you don't mind using that route.
If you can get an Apoc and can afford to SA +3 and get it up in Attribute then yea, leveling level 40 toons for Unlimited Shots make sense, at least until they close that loophole.
Ok thanks for listening and i hope i get some useful tips from you all (keep in mind that i know most of you will recommend me to grind in full pty or get a recharger support but i need tips for solo grinding and i dont have time now to get another char to 85 atm)
thanks!!!
so all thse pages and people didnt see the problem? mentor buffs are basic iss buffs, enough to solo swamp but guess what, i have more m.atk than this guy, with zero buffs. basically, change the weapon.

yup he's using a junk S rapier, not even a nuker weapon, M.atk will improve TONS with R armor and a Requiem Retributer. Full ISS buff also give like 56% more m.atk and 30% clarity on top of mentor buffs too.
@Trensharo
Wow you don't give up do you?
Earlier you were anti NC Coin and saying to take free gear.
Now you're telling new players to buy a 170-200m top S weapon and buy shots from NC Store, instead of taking a 7m/free weapon and getting 100k+ free shots.
P.S. There's hardly any damage difference between a +4/300 wesper weapon vs a +0/no ele Apo buster. The Apo still did slightly more damage on tons of different mobs in swamps.

I've also tested this.. with vesper caster +4 300 wind VS apo retributer clean...

If you level in a decent place you can make 5-15M a day depending on drops.
Buying a weapon for 170-200M that you will use for potentially months is a good investment.
The fact that I am anti-NC Coin doens't stop me from using it as a valid route for others who may not be.
It's called having your own stance yet being accepting of what others may view the situation as.
Also, I had Vesper on my toon before the expac dropped, and the damage difference between Apoc and Vesper doesn't make it worth it for me. Since I do NOT buy shots from the NCStore (or run toons to 40 for free R Shots), and instead craft my own it is not worth the extra investment.
3 shot mobs are 3 shot with both weapons. It doesn't matter which you use.
For PvP the 300 Vesper is superior since you'll always get some bonus damage there unless the person you're fighting absolutely over-attributed for your element. Just cause you get some junk +10 Attribute Attack racial doesn't mean you're limited to that attribute. Being cookie cutter has never worked terribly well in this game as far as those things go :P
