May I make a suggestion that you give an hour advance notice in the game about when a server is being brought down?
Some of us play in important parts of the game such as Kartia or doing some raids. 30 minutes doesn't seem enough time to finish whatever we were doing before we could safely log out.
Should I expect a patch from the NCSoft launcher ? I doubt so since it's a server issue but who knows
The change is server-side so you will not need to do any additional updating in the Launcher.

Agree with the hour warning, but if you are in Kartia more than 30 minutes, something is very wrong.
Went in with a group to Kartia, as SOON as we got ported through the instance, server announcement came up. *Aw crap, rite?*
Nevertheless, everyone put their forces up, Level 3 Solidarity, and hit through Stages 1-7 as fast as possible, no talking to each other. *less talk, more DD*. 2nd room, IMMEDIATELY find the dimensional watcher. Kill him, Othell rogue and Yul archer Immediately find your half kills and land them.. Wynn summoner land all marks you have, if 4 land, use mark retriever. Just like that, Dimensional watcher is down before some DD's can even make it to the boss. Third room opens, repeat process of first room, Kill boss.
At the end, we had enough time to port back to Aden and slap each other on the back for what a good time we had, Even drop some stuff off in warehouse and rebuff.

ok this fix is worth it! :) I hate when you take down the servers for silly little bugs and especially store items when those could wait til normal maintenance :p hope geo fix works and doesn't mess up other things lol :o
Come on realy i was inside Fortuna....Yuo just spamd server going down for 1h now jsut because off you i got save'd and i only done 3 boss.... i wana my CD for fortuna Take'd off
Sace, you need to announce those emergency maintanances 1 hour in advance. Instances like Istina and Fortuna usually take 40 minutes to finish. To some parties up to 1 hour. Otherwise you make ppl angry.

Funny thing is that I've read the announcement 1:20 h before the actual maintenance.
The only smart thing would have been writing the in-game announcement around the same time to avoid issues.
No offense and I'm not looking to troll/complain, qq or whatever ppl like to say... was it really an emergency?
As is, the login server malfunctioned for a good 3 hours yesterday during peak periods of event, now an unneccessary update that could wait until wednesday?
Do you really need to do an update during event week that already had mishaps where players couldn't log on for "rock tripping" and "lag looping"?
Really?
Just so the trolls know, I do pay for things to support server and yes paying for stuff benefits the player but it does also pay NCSoft employees and run the server, everyone should try to spend something in game to keep it running or there's no way free2play would work.
Free2play works on the basis of making a choice of WHAT you pay, not just playing for free. It has to come out of SOMEBODY's pocket. :)

So you recommend me to refresh forums every 5-15 minutes every time Im playing?
I guess not. Everyone is talking about ingame announcement. 80% of the servers never visited forums.

Do you realize we have had more than a week of corners blocking your character, blades of grass blocking your character, dust on the floor blocking your character, doorways blocking your character?
And that sometimes we were forced to restart to be able to move again, to not SoE in town?
And that you could be stuck forever between 2 columns?
So you recommend me to refresh forums every 5-15 minutes every time Im playing?

Okay, I guess I've not expressed myself properly.
I was merely reinstating your point. I was saying that the funny thing is that the forum announcement came waaaay before the in-game announcement, and that NC could have published the in-game announcement at the same time as the forum announcement to avoid issues for the players, and repeat it every half an hour.
This issue is annoying as effin hell and it's been ongoing for too long..YES FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IT WAS AN EMERGENCY!!!
And the geodata in Teredor instance was annoying enough without the screw up, guess what had become after that.

Considering that you can't even read her message properly I'm not sure that an in-game message would help you all that much.
Characters do not have auto pathing that I know. Pets and mobs do, but not characters. You can run yourself right into a wall. Or your wolf can run away when you tell it to attack a mob that it cannot reach.

They didnt had auto pathing when you request to use skills on a target, but on moving they always had, by disabling the pathing the chars get stuck everywhere coz for example if u pass through a hill and you click other side, geodata see it as if you are trying to move directly through the ground to the point of reach so it stuck.
like this! http://uploadpic.org/storage/2011/6KyLPfmkQzS8VwjSITH0gyq5u.jpg
the Issue isnt solved!, the issue is that the auto pathnodes creation is disabled, this image describe it!
We've been on the servers moving around and it appears the geodata issue has been fixed. If you're seeing an issue suggesting it isn't, please send a support ticket (https://lineage2.custhelp.com/app/ask/) with the /loc coordinates of an example spot.

Istina is not a 40minute to 1 hour raid, you are clearly doing something wrong
Istina is not a 40minute to 1 hour raid, you are clearly doing something wrong
Maybe its because we have 3 DDs (PvP setup), and two of them are only 92 and 93?
Comments on our killing speed without knowing what setup and levels we ave is "cleraly something wrong".
Very Good !! But did you oversee ?!? Because of your emergency to the characters who were online before maintenance , now at gmt +2 the instances now have +2 h bonus , SOA cannot be completed and who knows...
After mainenence time zone of Shilen changed ...
hope it will go back to gmt+0
The Magmeld and Shilen server timezones got switched; this is a known issue and we'll fix it as soon as possible. We'll also post reminders about this issue to Magmeld, so they're informed of it in preparation for their Territory Wars and Castle Sieges this weekend.
The geodata issue is fixed. (This issue involved characters getting stuck or blocked by invisible obstacles while moving across terrain, especially when close by to a visible obstacle.)
Hello ,
It seems that after this emergency maintenance one bug is fixed but more bugs pop up . The minus 2 hours login announcement seems not to be valid for TW (on Magmeld server ) and another problem is that I exit from almost 1 hour Freya instance and is "" still in use"" so players from that instance cant go any other instance becoze of this.
Any ideea what is really happening ?
When you guys fix the time zones can you please bring them back to the way they where before?
Magmeld was GMT -2 until 3 weeks ago but now its GMT-3 reason of this being that Europe added 1 more hour cause of the:
"Like most states in Europe, Summer (Daylight-Saving) Time is observed in CET: Central European Time, where the time is shifted forward by 1 hour; 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (http://wwp.GreenwichMeanTime.com) (GMT+2 (http://wwp.gmt2.net/)).
After the Summer months the time in CET: Central European Time is shifted back by 1 hour to Central European Time (http://wwp.central-european-time.com) (CET) or (GMT+1 (http://wwp.gmt1.com/)) "
Any way that could happen until Europe shifts back by 1 hour?
