Well to me the current system for their obtaining seems pointless. Talking primarily for the Talisman of Longing. It seems impossible to get. If it's like the "Rec: Soulshot R lvl 10 craft" chance in spezi or teredor, then this means with Stage 5 talisman - Talisman of Desire, if you have enough bad luck (or get the korean random str8 to he head), you can finish with Stage 2 i less then 30 secs. The only ppl with enough adena and QI to get it will be the bots/rmt-ers (again). Maybe increase the amount of Energy of Destruction needed (like 4 times increase, but keep the current lvl of obtaining) and remove the possibility to fail to the previous stage.
I like it, its an item that unless your gonna put alot of time and effort into it your not gonna have it. So yea obviously someone else is gonna be better if they put that time in and you don't. That's how it should work.

supposidly you can get 2 energy of destruction from hunting a day. and 1 from seed quest. you can either buy a giants energy at a clan hall for 5.5kk OR you can participate in oly and take the quests to get a FREE giants energy. so start participating...need more feeders in oly :) they did it this way so that you have to work hard to get a rare item.

Its not hard getting adena in this game. I have over 10 billion, if you want somthing good, obviously your going to have to pay for it. Otherwise if you don't want to spend that money then your not going to get it. Same principles in real life.

If you're some spoiled kid and wanna have it "NOW!", buy the destruction energy in packs for $ and/or pay adena for giant's energy to clan hall npc, otherwise do it like everyone else
- obtain 3 Energy of Destruction a day, there's no "low rate" aka luck involved: 2 from hunting in 85+areas after a certain time spent in that area, 1 from completing an instanced dungeon, ie. Spezion
- receive Giant's Energy for completing Olympiad quests aka participating in oly actually(Olympiad Starter gives 2 giant's for 10 match participation, dunnow about the 2nd, 'cause so far, i haven't completed it)

Now i see you didn't get my point. The problem is not the adena or the rare QI drop. The problem is that after you've spend let's say 15bils and 14 months in getting 2 stage 5 talismans, finally you gather money for last one but thx to the current system and chance, you get one talisman 4th grade and one 3rd grade. Get it? I mean if you really really really really really really put time and effort it still can't be obtained. The amount of adena and playtime it requires is just INHUMAN. So instead remove the possibility to get back to stage 1 basically and just increase the amount of giant's energies or energies of destruction.
So i hope put in this way you can get my point right.
Example: if you can't get talisman of longing, you get the one of Hellfire and then you try for talisman of desire, but as you can see from the chance, the Highest rate is to get all the way down to Talisman of Annihilation. So basically in 2 steps you can destroy 18 or so months of efforts.

Energy of Destruction
Energy of Destruction is a non-tradable item. There are currently three ways to obtain Energy of Destruction items:
Hunting: Characters level 85 and higher can acquire up to 2 Energy of Destruction items per day while hunting in these zones: Bloody Swampland, Harnak Underground Ruins, Seed of Annihilation, Seed of Annihilation: Battle in the Nursery, Fairy Settlement, Orbis Temple, Garden of Genesis, Seal of Shilen, Seed of Hellfire, Guillotine Fortress, and the Altar of Evil Spirits. Hunting in a party will increase the chance of acquiring an Energy of Destruction. The daily item limit resets a 6:30 a.m. (server time) every day.
Questing: Aku in Seed of Hellfire will offer a daily quest, In Need of Petras, to characters level 97 and higher. Bring back 50 Petras from the Seed of Hellfire monsters to Aku and he will reward you with one Energy of Destruction. This quest can be completed once per day, reseting at 6:30 a.m. (server time).
In the L2 Store and L2 Galleria: To celebrate the launch of Tauti, we are offering 1 Energy of Destruction as a bonus item in the Adventure Pack, and 5 Energy of Destruction items as bonuses in the Destiny Packs. There is no limit on how many Energy of Destruction items you can acquire through this method. Note that the bonus items for th Adventure Packs and Destiny Packs are switched out on a regular basis, so be sure to get yours while they're available!

They will stay there just 1 more week and then will be gone. and ok ... you can have yet another 40 while they're there. But were you gonna take the other 500 that you'll need till talisman of desire, or more clearly, how long will it take you to gather them? But nvm, let's assume even if they stay there, it's worse. Cos the RMT-ers are the ppl who spend the most money for the game (no normal man in his healthy mind would waste 1500EUR for a "potential" item). Not trusting me? just check goha(dot)ru and you'll see where all the +15 apo weapons are(some of them cost $2k+ in DEWRs).

So worst case scenario from juji's testings (taking all the worst cases for each talisman) you'd need 760 Energy of destructions and 1440 Giant's energies (or 7.92 billion adena). BUT this is just by adding the attempts together, which means it would've been helpful if there was no step back option (when the next try is again for the same talisman but it won't be for sure).
In the current system you should MULTIPLY each stage's attempts. In essence, let's take the last try in juji's lab - 3|4|12 attempts. It means 144 attepts x 30(average) Energies = 4320 Energy of destruction and 7200 Giant's Energies (with avarage of 50 for the 3 stages).
And if we assume you can get 5 EoD a day then you'd need 864days xD (or 2 years and 134 days); and the amount of adena needed is ..39,6 billions :)

I visited the CH announced in the official site and they are closed (the doors), no NPC for selling energy outside....so we (my clan) must conquest them or what...
The problem is not only the adena or only the energies. The problem is the long period of time it takes. I'm not saying make it farmable in in 1 week, but atleast they should remove the option of dropping back with 2 or 3 stages. Maybe make it like the unbind scrolls from the campaign.
I'm sick of people thinking they should be entitled to everything that is put in this game. Do you even know how long it took to put together the first vesper set on the NA servers? Months upon months of figuring out how to kill ekimus plus the time needed to farm all of the items to be able to beat that instance. And after that continuous farming of the raid praying for armor drops. And then came farming noble stones.....seriously you wow kids need to leave.
It's really not that bad considering how good the level 6 talisman is. At 97+ you get 4 energy a day, and if you do Oly on a couple toons you get 2-5 giant energy per toon from the quests for 3 days in a row. That's basically an attempt every week once you hit stage 3 talisman.

Leave the adena issue behind. I know you can take 4 Energies after lvl 95. If you've read my post above, you'll see, i've said lets assume ppl can get 5 Energies a day. With 4 energies per day, the time it will take is a bit more then 3 years...

Your clan must own a clan-hall to buy the Giant's Energies from the "clanhall steward/stewardess"

Well indeed i've never played WoW and started L2 at Hindemith (think it was C4/C5 back then). And how long it took, well it took me, with my tank, a bit more then a week to gather adena to buy it, farming only fortresses for KE on sub and 5-6h a day catacombs (both AA and seeding the mobs), beside all the bot's that were there (at Teon at the time). So yeah .. i know exactly how long it used to take. And i'm used to(you can say even like) the long term farming, but this is just entirely new lvl.. That's only bot farmable. A normal person, who isn't logging 7 accs at a time and farming 23h a day (i spare 1 hour cos of server crashes), just can't get it (again, the issue isn't the amount of adena).
And after all, a night while GiGaToS was touching himself naughty he decided to attempt the precious purple talisman of Longing.....and he succeeded on his 1st try...pff
