Since the upgrading process of the Seed Talismans works on a random basis, ill-meaning people could insinuate that you are trying to induce children to gamble for real money. By posting the chances for a successful upgrade together with the product you want people to buy, you can preemptively counter such accusations :)

I'm really interested in what happened when you didn't get the talisman of longing. Can you publish some results what talismans it gave you each time when it failed?

That's something I would be interested in too. Like for example in one of your trials you got the Talisman of Longing after 8 attempts. According to LethalArcher's screenshot you should have a halfways even chance between either keeping the Talisman of Desire you took as your sample, or downgrading your sample to a Talisman of Hellfire. So when you did that Longing trial, you kept your Desire 4 times and downgraded to Hellfire 3 times until you got the Talisman of Longing?

The problem with downgrading a Talisman is that then you have to upgrade it again. But if luck is against you, you may downgrade your Talisman even further. What you did in your test is to describe the outcome of individual attempts. A player however is more interested in the fate of his or her individual Talisman. Could you maybe in a follow-up experiment take one single talisman and note its ups and downs? Something like this:
1. Attempt Annihilation to Hellfire: stayed same
2. Attempt Annihilation to Hellfire: downgraded to Infinity/Destruction
3. Attempt Destruction to Annihilation: success
4. Attempt Annihilation to Hellfire: success
5. Attempt Hellfire to Desire: downgraded to Annihilation

Do you understand what I mean? :)

Kinda selfish and demanding that some1 else has to spend his time so that you haven't to spend yours.

Also there would been way more tests needed to show a half accurate success rate.

My test was , first time success to annihilation, first success to hellfire, first success to desire, first success to longing :x

up to hellfire on first attempt and too chicken/greedy to go further

Friend had:

3x Attempt Annihilation to Hellfire: Stayed the same
1x Attempt Annihilation to Hellfire: Downgrade to Destruction
1x Attempt Destruction to Annihilation: Success

Thats around 800kk Adena wasted.

I will just wait Kaliel's item to upgrade without going down :D

free bump as a warning to ppl as even with kaliel trying for longing is insane cause the real odds are much harder then what's posted here..

of course maybe I have had some serious bad luck but still take it from someone who tried don't be so optimistic to think the test here from Juji means anything as it's still Korean random meaning you can easily fail more times then the worst case he has listed as 12 tries..

Cos right now the 1 try of you from Desire -> Longing is kinda missleading.

I think again here depends on luck, not about how many times u failed.

The description says "acquired Talisman - Longing cannot be exchanged...etc," which is referring to the Talisman you receive after you identify the sealed item. A Sealed Talisman of Longing is tradable, but not dimensional.

got longing after a total of 14 tries so I guess it's doable if your crazy enough

That item is not easy to obtain either (you must crystallize quite a lot of good equipment), so maybe the best strategy would be to save up and buy a ready-made Sealed Talisman of Longing.

Thnx kirill! After a quick look I made in this topic, it seems I'm the first one (I mean in this topic only) who spent the less money for Longing (0 fails, and all GE bought from CH for 5,5kk)..

Jeez I feel excited, if you imagine that I was 100% sure that Desire would downgrade to Hellfire, after all previous successfull tries untill Desire..

Here is my path to longing, very lucky considering I didn't go down.
I didn't use any kaliel's
All tries up until Hellfire were done every 10 days or so, the 4 tries to get to desire 20 days apart.
The last three tries to get to longing were done the same day.
Time frame between desire and attempt to longing around 4 months +.

I would like to know how much that high/high translates in actual % of tries so I can use my judgment to decide whether thats worthwhile or not!

Lucky dog... makes me want to test my Desire to Longing chances, but I really love the blue glow.

I was able to get two Talismans of Longing.
On my first one:

All on my first try. I sold the first one and this one im going to keep. Here was the path to getting it.

As far as I know with these attempts and what I've been told, using elcyum and Kaliel's Energy would be a waste of adena. The money you spend to save the talisman from going backwards could buy more Giant's Energy and give you more tries. But again this is another gambling thing in Lineage 2. I got extremely lucky. I know some people who cant get Hellfire, and some people who go everytime.

I know someone that even failed Desire -> Longing with the use of 32 Elcyum. Around 8b Adena gone for nothing :eek:

All the others are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay much more expensive then they should be. the 2 bils for the Kaliel Energy desire would buy you 350+ GEs. Need a price at 1 / 10th of the current ones to make them reasonable (talking about Hellfire and Desire)

Agree, but when are you guys finally going to increase drop rate and keep bots from coming back? I remember that at Goddess of Destruction the drop were at least decent (SoA used to drop 2k~3k adena per party member -7 members) now aside from Gainak and some other few spots, the average adena earned is 200~450 tops!

Solution is, find a way to ban remove bots permanently, help legit players by making adena a bit more easier (i'm not asking for a 10b adena drop from Keltirs). And don't ask me how to permanenlty ban bots, i'm not being paid to think for you people from Admin Staff ;)

i hope you have lots of them from dailies and 'Filling the Energy of Destruction' quest. But i know lots of ppl are buying them.

23 kaliel's energy (desire) x 90-150 mils (cheap price, cause of the event) = 2 500 000 000 ~ 2 800 000 000

At last all cost of adena is 12 ~ 13 bil. (not including ED)

Current price of Longing is between 5.5 bil and 7~8 bil.

Btw i dont spent 13b i got 700+ ge and few desire from freya box,and i sold a lot of box to complete purchase of ge at 5.6m and desire at 150m and eod packs.
Next time i'll keep $ to buy allowed auto-target and anti-hide scripts, They don't need luck and give more advantage than longing.

Kalil doesn't help chances of success, it merely helps reduces the penalty for failure. get yourself some fancy elcyum.
