You can make event with a lot of celestial potions (for 30s reuse 1s)
and we can stay everywhere and we can talk with an enemy only.
Its almost much the same thing as this QHP pots..

From what I understand, the regular soloable squash isn't really all that great. The larger squash requires a few people so that might weed out all the non professional botters. Meh... Plus the only raid jewel is antharas and blessed antharas.
The qhp was a very very very bad idea. Considering the Draco pots have still not been depleted
Puss the Cat returns to the game with more smashable food items! Thankfully this time we get to smash squashes instead of watermelons. Go hunting, collect nectar, grow squashes, and smash them for rewards inside!
I don't know who wrote it (Sace I would bet it's you :P) but I like this sense of humour :D
Anyway, if I remember correctly, when you open large squashes drops are on the ground, so it seems better to do it myself with several box, no ?

Got few questions about rewards:
Talisman box, its random talisman which can be obtained from castle/fortress, or it includes seed talismans too?
So much complaining, stop wasting your time what the bots get and just have fun.
Nice to see the events coming with very litle gap, and with the regular updates of the store one really enjoys to check what is coming after maint.

A regular Squash can be cultivated and opened by a single player easily.
A Large Squash can be cultivated easily but can only be smashed open with a Chrono Weapon, and it is difficult to open a Large Squash alone. Group up with friends that all have Chrono Weapons and take on the Large Squashes together to ensure that you open it in time.

Why u guys need make people open good squashs with groups? (Like the large draco eggs from last event). We imagine that the chance of get antharas is already 1% or something like that, like this u make even worse...
2- I imagine lag like's hell in aden for example, will you put it for open only in towns? Will manage this somehow or we can expect for another "lagden" period? :/

I saw a shout bot in the making yesterday and reported it twice before it hit lvl 20 and went to town. I highly doubt that did any good seeing within a day or two there will be a different one.

Since Sace says in my understanding, "not necessarily a bot reported is analyzed and that the software tools responsable of analyzes are not able to detect if the user uses a tool bot or not", the button for reporting has become "unnecessary".
No use wasting time trying report bot: What is able to demonstrate that a bot is a bot does not work then bots can not be banned.
Now the market for reselling the lower Event Rewards is destroyed too...

Another failure by NCSoft. Seriously? Don't you realize MANY are quitting game because of these QHP? The just ruin gameplay. I have met guys who no matter what, are ALWAYS full CP/HP, no matter if I deal with them 1kk damages, they're full. So this is another bots-helper event. My compliments, wouldn't have expected two so BIG failures in a so short time. And please change name of event, from "Summer Squash Event" to "Summer Bots Event", it's more appropriate. Basically, the only decent thing left to do is Olympiads. But no worry soon enough I expect these potions to be allowed there too!

Are you serious dude? Maybe you've been playing Barbie Fairytale this whole time or never went out of town. Try killing a decent tank with decent armor (not Seraph, even Twilight) who spams QHP like a boss and then let me know. Yesterday took us half an hour+ to take down an healer+heavy, a tanker and an iss 95+ who were spamming potions LIKE BOSSES (we were like 7+ DDs with r95+300 hitting them.) So, again, seriously?
You know, that's quite new to me that game owners unwilling to take the fight against botters. I mean as the game developers, they're not able to fight them, they're able to totally remove them from the game - I've played many MMORPG games before so I know what I'm talking about. The question is, why not?

yes you use chrono weapons. if have one already use it or you get one from the cat by trading him nectar. This is just like the pumpkin event

I can understand the aggravation,but as I said in the past about the pots you can get them too and do the same thing. It's just that player using the game features to it's advantage and it seems unfair. Yeah the PK system sucks that's why no one wants to chance going red unless they are green.

Events like this, that cater to the cheater base, removes ALL fun for all levels of players, new and old alike. Way to go to 100% cancel ALL your efforts in making this a "true, open-pvp world". The more you allow botters to advance in this game, the more FUN you remove from the entire player base. My question is: Do you get the Antharas' earring as a direct drop from the the big squashes or it drops another item that you need to open?
i always like the squash event, its fun and brings the clans together in other activities. plus i need antharas bottle :rolleyes:
i dont get the ones that complain about botting the event, i mean, let me ask you, is there ANY event they didnt bot? any event they can't bot?
i am also happy that the rewards changed, i am not happy about getting B grade shots when all my subs are 80+ and my dual main is 92/86 and uses R grade. i was hoping that some day the makers will realize that players dont spend that much time in D to A grade anymore and we all would appreciate it if the drops wouldn't contain "nub" stuff anymore. i do thank you for adding the R items to the drop lists.

btw brez/bsoe rewards are good, just stockpile and sell at high price sometime after event, I made lots of money from tersi doing this; AH varies daily, sometimes hourly; what sells for nothing one moment will sell for huge profit a bit later. sometimes you don't sell anything for a week, other times someone gets a bug up their rear to OE and you sell 100 enchants at once

The Talisman Box gives regular talismans only; no Seed Talismans.

Events like this one are designed to encourage party play and cooperation between players, which is a fundamental part of MMOs.

You can work the squashes outside of town, too. But, there are many peace zones in the world; a player is not required to stay in a crowded town, or to go to a dangerous zone, to play the event mini-game. For example you could take a free teleport to Fantasy Isle and do it there.

It's just the earring by itself.
All drops from the squashes land directly on the ground, same as a regular monster.

The Chrono weapons are the same for all these events, so your old ones would work. :) The small squashes can be smashed with your regular weapon-- I haven't checked yet if bare fists, Chrono weapons, or pet attacks work too, but I'm guessing yes.
Why are you complaining? This event was obviously made in order to decrease the income bot's made in the previuos event, a huge list of reward's but the chanses to get something like Dewr,dear,bear,bewr or anthy soul bottle are one out of a million, and the antharas earring pff 1 out of a billion or even less. Just a nother waste of time and adena, in my eye's.
Please provide a way for us to OPT OUT of this event crap (for one thing so drops arent taken up by stupid nectar).
If not, please end it a lot sooner than the 15th.

Over the years I have learned not to bother with events. It's all chance to get something so I always sell my event items (nectar and seeds). This way I know I am guaranteed to make money. If you blew 2 bil adena buying event items that was dumb on your part.

At least with this event they only take a couple of inventory slots; not a big deal. Just do what I did on the last event, every time I was in town, I'd sell the items to some shop. I made several 100M adenas doing only that.

I don't know how the rewards wouldn't be worth the hassle. Nectars aren't selling for very much right now. Only question is how much effort is required to open the large squash. If it takes more than 1 person, then it's probably not worth the effort. There's really nothing social or fun about sitting in a circle hitting squash all day.

I for once believe that if you want a better reward you need a full pt, since this event is bassed to make ppl used to party system, I guess it encourage's ppl to group up, yet to be tested but when you see that it is imposible to get anything alone, then yeah what would be the point of this event.....

If it works like the old Squash events over the last couple years then 3 ppl are more then enough.
Just use your main and 2x a alt on additional accounts, done.
All drops will be yours, you can do it whenever you want etc. etc.

Correct, I've done it in the past. It's not one of my favorite events. I've learned from past experience that the chance to get anything of value is slim. I'd rather sell the event items and be guaranteed a profit.

I did a few cloned since you can't sell them and it amounted to elixirs and some shots and nectar which I sold in the end.
At least one of the rewards from large squashes is bugged - or my character is.
When a box of blessed spiritshots drops, you can see it on the ground just like any other item that may have dropped from the squash. But when you pick it up, you get the "pickup" sound and nothing else happens. You will NOT have the blessed spiritshot box in your inventory and you will NOT get any kind of message about picking it up either. It will however have vanished from the ground.
I noticed it when I repeatedly heard one "pickup" sound *more* than I got messages about picked up items in the chatbox.
I have made a video showing the bug, because otherwise there will most likely be at least one reply like "never happened to me", "you did something wrong", "you didn't look close enough" or "screenshot or it didn't happen" :)
I am not putting up a direct link here, because my youtube account (L2VillageJester) also contains some videos about characters not abiding the rules. If you want/need a video proof that I am not imagining this bug, you could for example google for "bugged blessed spiritshot box" ;)
You can do it on your own though. A low level Iss can solo a large squash just fine, and I suppose any class with fast attack speed (well buffed of course) can do it too. (Before GoD, I used a 60+ tyrant, newbie buffs + greater attack speed potions).
I haven't touched this event since it started, but I have a bunch of nectar and small seeds from xping. I'm hoping that someone that has farmed it hard can tell me if the small ones are worth my time or I should just trade some of the nectar for large ones.
Yah I'd say go for the large ones. I opened some small ones because I couldn't do anything else with them but you only get crappy things so I just sold the rest of my nectar to make some money.
