Dark elfs are elfs who use black magic and got too exposed to it and their skin turned dark..shillen is their "symbolic mother"...and she has never cared for them in the first place..you can take conclusions from that:)

YES she is a symbol, mother is just a figure wether she created them or not, you don't see other races calling father to kain or maphr.
She is the "jenova" of ff7, "mother" was simply a word used as worship (did you not see rituals being performoed in her name?) and dark elves were her tool since the begining of dark elfs existance.

also you say that Shilen used them, but i have to read that part of the story myself..and what i read so far, mentions nothing of such.in fact from what i have read so far, Shilen is the only decent god among them.the ones i do know about (Einhasad,Gran Kain and Eva) seem like

no.. Jenova really was the mother of Sephiroth.she did not give birth to him, since Sephiroth was created by a scientist.but he had her blood, thus making him her son in a way(if i am remembering the story right).

i realized, while i read the "complete" history you gave me, that it is not complete.i figure, its because they want us to find out the rest ,by playing the game.for example, in the part of the history ,when the giants decide to try and take on the gods and start messing up with life forms,this is probably ,when the Kamel were created by them(by mimir i think) .to be used as weapons, against the gods.but this is not mentioned ,so i guess alot of the story, is not mentioned for this reason.

i think you are wrong here.the elfs didnt fallow Shilen when she was banished.the elfs only became dark elfs(some of them) after they were defeated by the humans .a portion of the elfs wanted to fight with the humans again using forbidden dark magic.they obtained such power when they struck a deal with Desparion..

the truth is that, no 1 fallowed Shilen when she was banished.the elfs were created by Shilen, but at the time, the elfs did nothing.none of them.no race did anything...what could they do, in the middle of a war between gods and dragons, except to tremble in fear.apparently not even any of her siblings, did anything for her. her piece of **** father either, who was very responsible ,for what happened to her.

no i didnt! :O .i am still struggling to install the game.i have not played this chronicle yet.
but if that is what it says...there is a conflict of information here.the history says that, they while tree elfs, wanted the power to fight the humans.they wanted dark magic and that magician gave it to them.according to that story, it had nothing to do with Shilen.i assumed that the dark elfs, only began thinking about Shilen, after they went through a similar experience, than their Mother ,when they were banished.there is no mention of brown elfs, thinking about Shilen before they were banished.they were only thinking about, taking back the high position they had in the beginning.the other elfs became satisfied with their life in the forest,but the brown elfs wanted to challenge the humans again.it didnt have anything to do with Shilen.so there seems to be a conflict of information, between what the story says and the description, of the dark elfs.
but its also very curious, that it says that Shilen was "to evil".that dosnt make any sense to me.Shilen was not evil ,she was rightfully seeking vengeance ,against her mother and father for what they did to her.

there is no rightfully seeking vengeance, this only exist in ur head.
SHE seduced Kain, she start the fight, the giants watch this happend and didnt like it, in the middle of this war, shilen scamn the giants, she trick them to play on her side. when the hammer fell upon them, they start to create the super WEAPON, so the 3 kamael classes were born, the kamaels heroe Harkilgamed, Katenar e Rodenpicula was able to find hand by hand against the gods. they were created by NORNIL. (if u compare the power of one kamael class against one human or elf u can see the difference)
For a long time, war raged between them, and neither was victorious. Shilen ask one giant to stole the gods power but someone betray the giants, and they felt the kain hammer power, so they seal kamael at isle of soul to protected what is left of the giant race.
In the end, though, the gods won, and Einhasad obliterated the Giant race. Aulakiria the dragon os light one of the shilens sons, SACRIFICE IT SELF for the good of the earth and his mother shilen to stop the war.
Hermuncus, last of the Giants, opposes Shilen.
Only Hermuncus, leader of the Giants, was kept alive. This last Giant, convicted of stealing the power of the gods, was consigned to eternal punishment. With all of his limbs severed, he was sealed for eternity in the floating city of Ye Sagira to provide an example to any who might dare to rise against the gods. The Giants were all but erased from the face of the land.

Shilen, Goddess of Destruction, has awakened.
When the fourth seal was broken, Shilen, the Goddess of Destruction, awakened from her long sleep in the darkness. She sacrificed her followers in the Necropolis and Catacombs and used the dark energy from their deaths to summon a Dark Moon to use as her eyes to see the world.
Shilen exhaled, and the sky ran red.
She sprayed her blood over the continent. Monsters drank her bloody rain and became enraged. Countless people died, providing sacrifices to strengthen the darkness that was Shilen's power. Villages and ports shut down, one by one.
The Goddess of Destruction tore the floating city of Ye Sagira from the sky. This act released the spirit of Hermuncus, the last surviving Giant, who had been imprisoned there. Long ago, Shilen persuaded the Giants to steal power from the god Einhasad. This brought her wrath down upon the Giants and led to their ruin. As the last Giant, Hermuncus hid Einhasad's stolen power somewhere deep in a lost dimension to keep Shilen from that power.
Shilen was thwarted.
Shilen's attack on Ye Sagira did not let her seize Einhasad's power from Hermuncus in Ye Sagira, where she believed that power was hidden. Instead, it gave the Giant a chance to revive Hermuncus's tribe. He approached Humans with a proposal: Help him release his body, reunite it with his spirit, and revive his tribe, and in return, he would awaken their latent powers.

There was this official preview site some months ago, but it seems to have been deleted or moved Oo' It contained some information about Shilen, Hermuncus, Ye Sagira and some epic bosses. Anyway, some of the story is provided via in-game cinematics, but apart from the introductory one, you'll need to reach high levels to see stuff like Spezion, Octavis et cetera.
Long story short, with 4 of the 7 seals now lifted, Shilen is able to awaken again and, while plotting revenge against her family and the world that refused her, she sends Earth Wyrm Trasken to annihilate the Dwarven village, kills off most of Dark Elven village inhabitants and empowers her dragon sons Antharas and Valakas to give them strength to go out of their nests and finish the work. Everything in order to empower herself (since she's the Goddess of the Dead) and break free of the last seals.

Shilen is the eldest daughter and first-born of the God-Children. She was initially granted power over the water spirits, but had said power stripped by Einhasad when it was discovered she was having an affair with Gran Kain. After being expelled from the continent, she created the Abyss and introduced death to the world.
When Gran Kain came to Shilen to create the Humans, all Shilen could give was the spirit of stagnant and rotten water. It is worth noting that it was Shilen that first tried to persuade Gran Kain against creating the Humans.
Dogma, The Faith
After the Fall of Giants, the Elves, Orcs and Humans fought endless wars for domination of the continent. Many thousands died on the battlefield. Humans experienced an unprecedented level of destruction, yearning for the next world. Just as the souls of brave Orc fighters are consumed into the fires of Paagrio, so too did the Humans need a god to promise reprieve after death. They began to raise their prayers to Shilen.
These devotees of death called themselves the Children of Shilen, and in time their influence became widespread. Fierce wars between the races reached a catastrophic end, as the Humans emerged victorious from the pile of ashes, with the Children of Shilen an important part of their society. Lilith is a major factor in the Church of Shilen.
In the time of Shunaiman, she was born as the ninth daughter of the goddess of death to the Children of Shilen. She was thought of as a central figure, with religious and military control over the followers of Shilen. In the revelation of Kaisha, the following is explained about Lilith:
On the battlefield of the heavens before the armed might of the angry gods, the creatures of Shilen collapsed one after another. Facing defeat, Shilen established a realm of death on the floor of the abyss, where she hid. She commanded Lilith, the daughter that she loved the most, to remain on the land and prepare for her return. Shilen cursed Lilith with immortal life .
Under Lilith's guidance, the Children of Shilen erected the Necropolis and Catacombs, forming an elite army called the Lilim. This force grew quickly, threatening the Human populace. Conflicts between the followers of Shilen and the stakes of the empire that intended to control them gradually became more frequent, finally erupting into a full-scale war. One follower of Shilen left the following record about the situation:
Deliver death unto those who oppose us. Sacrifice our lives for the goddess. When the blood of the enemy turns the rivers, sea and sky red, great Shilen will return to the land from across the river of death. May the fellowship of Lilim gain ultimate victory .
The Necropolis was the living site of the Children of Shilen, both a holy temple and military fortress. The followers of Shilen believed that, because the Necropolis was neither of this world nor that of the underworld, they could not truly die, even if they were to be killed there. During wartime, most of them became undead, or they were recreated as Lilim. Lilith and Anakim were both trapped in the Disciples Necropolis. Lilith opened her eyes again as a forgotten relic, hidden underground in the Era of Chaos.

what i m thinking about all this: __women are insane, even shilen or Einhasad or Einhasad daughters are completely insane, even my mom and my sister.
When Einhasad created the elf race, Shillen was who imbued them with the power of the water, 'cause at that time, she was the true goddess of water; and there wasnt difference between light and brown elfs, as everyone used to live in community. But the brown elfs was seeking for a new grasp of power, the dark magic, being seduced then by Dasparion, the highest magician of humans of that time. Only because this fact, the war started AMONG the elfs, and not with humans. The elf race itself broke in 2 factions: the light, keep they work with white magic, and the brown elfs, newly owners of the dark magic of the humans. As the winner side was being given to dark elfs, 'cause of they new source of power, the light elves just released the ultimate (and till then uncasted) magic upon the dark ones, 'causing the whole part of the forest to turn dead and the skin of the dark elves turn grey. This is how the dark elves were born as they are. After Shillen was expulsed from heavens, and as the dark elves now was prohibited from living together with the light elves, they just welcome her as their true mother, while the light ones just renegate her to worship the weakest one, Eva (note that Eva, even being the actual goddess of water, isnt the "mother" of elves, as this position still is bound to Shillen. The light elves just refuse this part of story). For every chronicle and then, the dark elves worked to take their master (the hierarchs rotted in their village) and Shillen free.
I still remember almost every dialogue of dark elf npc (related with quests, storyline or even trashtalk) was always shaped with malice, traison and cinycism - this was the way they found to work their plans out without being screwed by the 'good guys'. I.e. here (http://l2eogamer.com/wiki/An_Arrogant_Search) in this quest line, from Magister Hanellin in Aden Town, there's a part where Magister Harne just ask "I suppose you didnt believe Magister Hanellin when she said we were doing it to achieve world peace, eh?" From quests like this, you can see and taste how the dark elves made their roll and reputation till now.
About Gran Kain and Shillen, she was surely seduced by her own father, no way to refuse that (its clearly said on lore). He just seduced and left her pregnant on the dirty, its all. If you take a deep and impartial look, you'll find her even as a martyr: a young women seduced by her father (call the Oedipus Complex (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oedipus_complex#Feminine_Oedipus_attitude) here), screwed and abandoned by her mother, being accused of traison and thrown in the most deeper abyss. Can you imagine yourself in this situation? How could you feel about? The 6 dragons born from Shillen were the living forms of her anger, despair and rancor themseves.
In the quest seires from Primeval Isle (here (http://l2.eogamer.com/wiki/The_Name_of_Evil_-_1)), you can find Shillen as a kind, lovely and competent goddess, that create the whole island and the elrokian race, who whorshiper her as their true goddess of water (they didnt reconigze Eva as the actual). The part where the leader of the elrokians says "Shillen, you have answered our heartfelt prayers! Blessed are you" ilustrate this scenario, as many others in the many dialogue boxes from theses quests. Shillen is seen as powerfull, truthfull and benevolent one by the elrokians.
And then we reached on GoD chapter: here Shillen is matured in hate, nothing else. At this point, she cant see clearly between good and evil, as she just seeks for ways to perform and conclude her vengeance. i think they are sacrificing Shilen, for the sake of their plans for the game.it does not make sense to me at all.Shilen does not need to do any of that, to win ...she won the moment she woke up.

interesting ..i did not know that Shilen had created that island and had such connection with them.i was on the primeval isle ,on another chronicle with A grade and got my *** kicked there hm hm hm.its though there ,because those dinos are smart,they move in groups hm hm.
By how the lore is writen, you just is free to look in as you like. The devs made it a bit weird, strange, complex and a bit (or a lot) contraditory to every taste. What I wanted to say is: there's no only a point of view for the whole lore. You can take Shilien's point of view and you'll have enough reasons to agree with her actions; or you can look by someone else's point of view and have a totally different understanding of the situation. Just make your choices, and believe them.
Apart from that, just one thing you have to accept: since the start, Shilien isnt bad, but she was turned bad. Sadly, everything that cross your path now will be vanished, even those that based their lives in worship her (aka DE). :o
I thought that Shilien was a misspelling or incoherent translation (wouldn't be first time you find one in L2. Remember Printessa/Frintezza and such?). Even Stigma of Shilen was called Stigma of Shilien in Gracia, Freya and probably H5 chronicles/updates, until corrected into Stigma of Shilen in GoD.
Note that the elven tank is called Eva's Templar, as a possessive adjective, so the dark elven one, instead of being called Shilen's Templar has the more elegant Shillien Templar name.

It has turned out that getting inter-server technology to work is more difficult than anticipated.
