A new NCoin promo has started today! Instead of getting rewards for buying NCoin you can now get rewards for spending NCoin in the L2 Store!

Promo runs from 11 a.m. PDT on Monday, October 15 to 11 a.m. PDT on Monday, October 22, 2012. (The promo started roughly 6 hours ago! Any NCoin you spent since then is already being counted!)

Get different rewards according to how much NCoin you spend!
1,200 NCoin = 5 Giant's Energy
2,000 NCoin = 1 Wizard Hat (permanent 2-slot head accessory)
4,000 NCoin = 1 Scroll: Enchant Armor of Destruction R-Grade
6,000 NCoin = 1 Transformation Sealbook: Doll Blader
8,000 NCoin = 1 Scroll: Enchant Weapon of Destruction R-Grade
Rewards will be delivered with server maintenance of Wednesday, October 24, 2012.
Important Details
It doesn't matter what you buy as long as it is purchased from the L2 Store! (This promo only applies to NCoin spent in the L2 Store. NCoin purchased, and items purchased in the L2 Galleria do not apply.)
The prizes go to the character that spent the qualifying amount of NCoin only.
The prizes for the different amounts are cumulative. Spend 1,200 NCoin to qualify for the first prize. Spend another 800 NCoin and you will automatically qualify for the 2nd prize, as you will have now spent 2,000 NCoin. Similarly, if you spend 2,000 NCoin in one purchase you qualify for both the 1,200 prize and the 2,000 prize!
The accumulation of spent NCoin is calculated per character only. Spending 100 NCoin on one character and 1,900 NCoin on another character does not qualify either character for the 2,000 NCoin prize.
A character can receive each of the 5 prizes once only, but all the prizes are tradable. So if you want to get even more prizes for a character, win the prizes on a second character on that server and mail them to your desired character!

If you spend 2,000 NCoin in one purchase you qualify for both the 1,200 prize and the 2,000 prize. :) I'll add that scenario to the post as another example.

The rewards only go to the character you're logged in with when you spend the NCoin. The reward items are tradable, however, so if you want to give them to other characters on the same server you can mail them.

Is not the purchase that gives you the items, is spending the coins. Make sure you don't purchase extra NCoin if you already have enough on your account for what you want!
COOOL!! I spend 100 smackeroos worth of NCCoins and I get a free Destruction enchant scroll. Oooooh and it's tradeable!!! What are they going for on Chronos? I get to trade 100 dollars US for an item I can sell for adena. Please remind me how this is not RMT in any shape or form? If you will spend 25k NCoins that means 8k coins x 3 = 24 so 3xRewards. That means 3xdewr/3xdear and so on.
1st: Announce it earlier, just a lil bit ;)
2nd: Change some of the rewards. Think DEWR aren't a way to go. And honestly, Doll Blader?
The "botters" would stop at +15, rest would be stupid. Tell me, how many +15 weapons are on your server? Check and then decide if it is really that game breaking... Also DEWR price crashed to not even half what it was, so not that big deal "resale" wise.
And by the way, everytime you see someone with +15 weapon etc. etc. kindly greet him with "ty for financing f2p for me" and add a lil :D

I guess this NCoin promotion is a good idea and may better balanced also as the last one with the DEAR, but yep the Sealbook: Doll Blader isn't so useful to cost 6k NCoins.
After all I think, still, that if you really want, that more players buy NCoins, you must decrease its price to around half of the currently price.
If someone can't buy 1200 NCoins for 15$ in a month, he won't buy it with the 5 giant energy neither.
But if he would buy 1200 NCoins for 8$ he would buy it without 5 giant energies too.
After all much much more players would buy 1200 NCoins for 8$ as for 15$ with 5 GE.
Also, would be fine, if would be a visible effect, that these improved incomings would appear on the service too. I mean, if people will see big ban hammer times and some how you can remove the spammers etc.

Right now you make the same as the NCKorea, there is the Lineage 2 is a really expensive game 30$ per month another games are for 15-20$.
So the players aren't so happy for it. NCKorea try to motivate them with ingame rewards as you make it too.

You make better and better offer with the NCoins, but the prices still high, try it at least for one month to decrease it to half and if you have good experience with them, keep it on this price.

Players don't go to p2w PS cos the official "f2p" Servers are only pay to win in their eyes.

I supported NCSoft by having 2 accounts since C3 and grinding out my top toon to 86. I stayed with NCSoft through it's bad times and it's only one good time. I reported every bot I ever saw in hopes that the GMs would actually ban them. I got angry at PK'ers when getting PK'd actually meant losing a weeks worth of xp earned through grinding. I have seen top clans rise and fall on my server. Everytime I log on, my status says "your character has been around for 6 years". So now that the game has gone f2p, it's time for everyone who has done the private server route to pay their financial way. But, the way is easier now since they hand you 86 levels worth of gear, xp and adena just for occupying a slot in their server.
If putting cosmetic items created enough revenue flow NCSoft would have nothing but those items in the NC stores. Obviously that isn't the case and if all of you complaining now had spent your gaming budget on previous ridiculous cosmetic objects and potions in the beginning you wouldn't be seeing these pay for power items now.
Why do the fast food chains sell fries and strawberry shakes? Not due to their healthy influence on the population… those items are on the menu because they are PROFITABLE!

No, server transfers are not sold in the L2 Store so they do not count towards this promo. Other account services such as the Name Change, Gender Change, and Awakening Class Change are sold in the L2 Store and therefore do count toward this promo.

8,000 NCoin spent on 1 character earns that character 1 DEWR and 1 DEAR. It is not possible to choose different prizes or trade prizes in for different prizes.

Not on one character, no. You only get the DEAR when you pass the 4,000 amount the first time. When you reach 8,000 you get the DEWR. Remember, it is not possible for a character to qualify for each prize more than once. Technically if you spend 4,000 on one character you get a DEAR, and then you can spend 4,000 on another character you can technically get a second DEAR.
Only bad thing is i tried buying NCoinc just earlier (so i can spend some later) and i got the following message:
"We are currently unable to accept your order at this time. Please try again later or visit one of our retail partners."

And for all the people complaining, the people who buy out the store typically suck at the game. They just enjoy having the shiny stuff without all the work. There's always going to be top players and top clans and it's as much their dedication and teamwork as anything bot/rmt can buy.
If you're goal is to reach the end of the game and have all the gear, spend away. But what are you going to do then besides look like a tool in all your shiny? Good clans won't want you if you suck at the game. A second-tier probably would because they'll take anyone the top clans don't, but then you'll be in a clan full of people who want not to be in that clan (they want to be in the WINNING clan) and that's where the botters and scammers end up. The internet, oddly, is quite a small world afterall.
A good character does not a good player make. And I'm not talking about spamming skills in pvp, but all the things that will make me forever a "casual player" (which is different than a non-factor because I admit and accept it). :)

I think it's stupid not to consider it. GW2 has a system in place in which you can trade shop gems in for game currency. I'm willing to bet it squashes the RMT spammers. Just because you tell players not to buy doesn't mean players won't. Let's be real here. Being you can sell all bonus items that's legit adena bought with real cash from NCSoft. Let's just not bother dipping our hand in the cookie jar and just sell adena in the shop because you all know it's coming at some point.

wait a sec does this means the scroll has only a 10% success rate chance or ?
Take the current enchant rate and then add 10% to it. The Ancient scroll is like a Destruction scroll, except it has an additional 10% bonus to the success rate and you can enchant your weapon to +16.

They already sell Adena in their L2 Store, you just have to open your eyes to the items in these Promotions to see the Adena falling from the sky do the real money transfers sanctioned by NCSoft.
Take the current enchant rate and then add 10% to it. The Ancient scroll is like a Destruction scroll, except it has an additional 10% bonus to the success rate and you can enchant your weapon to +16.

I think you're referring to the Exploration Pack Bonus Item changes, which will take place only beginning October 24 (not yet). Well, they need to get the cash from somewhere, electricity and software to keep the servers online aren't free I think.
Anyway, if you don't wanna spend 100$ at once, just buy the old L2 clients (CH1-CH5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lineage_II#Content_Patches)) from real life game stores. You can still find them in CD-R version if you look around the big old stores. In my country the old L2 packages cost less than 7€, you can save 40-50% this way and "The Chaotic Chronicles" CD-ROMs are really worth buying for collection purposes. The serial code inside the package usually includes a 60-day time card, which is worth 1200 NCoins.
It feels like not throwing the money away when I can actually touch with hand what I'm buying, also the female dark elf s3xy wallpaper included in:
"Lineage 2 - The Chaotic Chronicles DELUXE" package is worth every cent!! :D
(I bought it in 2006 but, never used because I was playing in a pvt server. Today, six years later I'm glad I didn't use it! xD)

to get your grand total you log onto your master account and there you will find a list what you spent by day.
important: it will not show you what you spent for each player, only a total, it also will not tell you the time (in case you cut it close to the deadline)

Sace, can you announce a date for server transfer return? I know you said after launch of Glory, but is their a spec. date, such as the direct maintence after. My server xfer got cancled, and im currently away on business and cannot fix the problem this maintence either. So again, is their an exact date?

The tentative date is November 7 but it's possible that may change. We'll be able to give a definitive date later.

The promo is character specific. To receive all the rewards you need to have spent 8k NCoin on a single character. If you want more rewards you would need to have spent more NCoin on a different character. Multiple winning characters on the same account is okay, but the rewards are sent to the respective winning character only. The reward items are tradable, though, so to a point you can send them to whomever you like (as long as they're on the same server).
